I’m not a big fan of Vietnamese food, but this place got my vote for excellent because it’s the cleanest, most«Classy» Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever seen. The food is as good as Vietnamese food goes, the service is very good, the owner remembers most customers names, and he’ll greet you accordingly when you walked in. The business is doing better then better, I watched this restaurant started, remodeled, expended. He worked hard to earn his loyal customers, I’m one of them.

After a series of Unilocal reviews about the best phở in the South Bay, I had to come here. So immediately upon entry I took notice to the crowds of people waiting to be seated and saw that every table was taken. Because of my sincere interest in trying this celebrity like phở, I was determined to stay and wait it out. Well I’m glad I did, although there were quite a few people waiting to be seated before me, the operation of the organization is seamless. The friendly servers paid close attention to tables as they freed up and promptly made sure that tables were quickly cleaned and guests were seated. This spot is more like an upper echelon phở spot, far from the average. The décor is modern, everything is clean and there are no weird smells. The next next thing and most important thing is the food. I had spring rolls and veggie phở with shrimp. My hubby had the steak and onions and loved the flavor. As for my food, it was GREAT! The bowl of phở was filled with healthy portions of veggies and shrimp. The broth was so flavorful I enjoyed every bite. The spring rolls were perfect and the peanut sauce went well with the dish, it wasn’t watery so I really liked it. The overall experience was great and I surely recommend all phở lovers to try it. Make the drive, take the time and enjoy some great phở!!!

This is totally out of topic but I just started using Unilocal because when my sister and I were to find restaurants for what to eat she always tells me to look it up on Unilocal and I don’t like using Unilocal because I got my reasons and you will surely know why from this review Today actually has came to be chilly day than I thought it would be(I thought it was going to be sunny during the day and getting chilly at night) As a typical Korean guy, I like something hot and warm kind of soup or broth with rice and I admit I am kind of a sucker for noodles so I chose Phở for the meal today and I searched phở restaurants through here The thing is I wasn’t familiar with Torrance and Gardena area so I just chose the highest rated phở restaurant around there When I got there the place looked nice and clean atmosphere and I was pretty much in belief of the reviews over here on Unilocal After a quite serious decisions I ordered Shrimp and Pork spring rolls and 1 large phở with basically all beef parts without meatballs I don’t usually order appetizers mostly when I go with my family we do but yeah just for this time Most phở restaurants I have been to they had all the instruments on each table but this one did not I kind of figured the table is too small to fit 2 people I know I went alone this time but still I started getting mad when the server was giving me the instruments to eat the food he was kind of throwing off on the table and I am like what the… I was waiting for my food and I thought the appetizer was going to come out first then the phở noodles but they actually came out at the same time well that was ok I didn’t mind about that but for me when it comes to eating noodles I like to cut it with my teeth but noodles itself was cut already sigh… not to mention the noodles were too cooked so I had really not much to chew sigh… seriously? -.-? Like I said it was pretty chilly outside so I tried the soup first and it was ok it warmed my body up a little the aroma or its smell whatever it was a bit strong to me at first compared to what the other guy have said but after quite about time the soup cooled down pretty quick and I kind of agreed to it tastes like chicken-broth instead of beef-broth While I was eating I saw the servers just standing up front and doing nothing for about 10 minutes actually chit-chatting with others and I am here eating like are you serious and one of the servers were like looking at the phone about a minute or two Now this is one of the reasons why I don’t like using Unilocal these highly-rated restaurants or what other people tell me that this is a good restaurant I didn’t like it in the end and this is another one of the reasons why I can’t trust other people the reviews that are left are from people right and I just believed that this restaurant would be good so I went then I get shitty services In general, I really like eating food I really do but I really get mad when they play with my food don’t play with my fxxxxx food That’s it I’m done have a good one ya’ll

I was in the area and thought I would check this place out for lunch. Their Phở is pretty tasty and perfect on a cold rainy day. The restaurant appeared to be very clean and the staff is very friendly. I’ll be back!

I can’t decide what’s better the friendly and attentive staff or the delicious food. All staff here makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Everyone has a great attitude and they are ready to help make your meal enjoyable. Each time I dine here I try a new dish and each time I am very satisfied with my choice. Quality meals and great variety.

I’ve been back here several times to satisfy my phone cravings, and the phở has been perfect. I think the first time we visited, we got a salty batch, but we keep coming back here because it’s so good. We have even eaten phở at popular spots in the OC, and Saigon Dish always beats them. It’s the best. We always get lots of beef, and sides(sprouts, basil, limes). I actually fill up pretty well with a small. We alway get crispy spring rolls too, and they are yummy. The owner of Saigon Dish is also super friendly. He’s the friendliest owner of a Vietnamese restaurant ever… hahaha. He serves good, walks around, checks on every customer, and cashes you out. He does it all, and he’s always in a good mood. In short, I love Saigon Dish, and will continue to be a regular here.

The best thing about this place is that the Owner works and he is so accommodating. This takes leadership to a new level. Yes the broth isnt MSG filled and fatty like it’s in OC, but its clean. So if you’re looking for a clean meal this place is good! If you have non-asian coworkers and you’re breaking them into Vietnamese food. This is the place!

Review 6⁄365 After a long first week back at work, my friend and I came out here for dinner. We arrived just before 7pm on a Friday night and there was a long line ahead of us. Lucky for us, they’re super efficient and we waited no more than 15 – 20 minutes. The owner(at least I think it was the owner) was very friendly and treated all his customers like he had knew them personally. Once we were seated… just looking through the menu, the noodles came in a small, regular, and large(or was it x-large) bowls. It was around $ 6-$ 7 for the small combination bowl, which came w/tripe, tendon, meatballs, and lean meat. Everything tasted fresh, not oily, and extremely flavorful. so all in all, the price, the food, the service… all super great. You could definitely tell how much the people who worked there enjoyed being there as well — which is always nice to see. I’ll be back! :)

If I could afford to eat out for every meal of every day, I would probably come here. I dine here about once a week, sometimes more, and I live for it. Is that sad? FOOD: First, thanks for actually offering a vegetarian section. That said, the phở itself is actually vegan. The veggie broth is perfectly seasoned and the variety of veggies in the phở is outstanding. I think they’re better than Phở Show because the veggie phở automatically comes with vegetable broth. Wouldn’t that make the most sense anyway? AND the variety of vegetables is better. Most importantly though, Saigon puts tofu in the vegetarian phở. I don’t have to pay extra or ask for a little more protein. Awesome!(I guess I should note that none of my friends are vegan and they all love either the rare steak or chicken phở.) SERVICE: All the servers here are nice. John, the owner(?), is especially awesome. He’s friendly and super fast. Always makes sure everyone gets to enjoy their meal, but keeps the turnover rate consistent. He somehow always seems to remember us too. Either that or he’s really good at faking it! ;) PRICE: Thanks for charging under $ 10 for a heaping bowl of phở. It’s hard to come by these days and it makes me believe I can actually afford my phở addiction. We’ve never paid more than $ 12 per person, including food and drink. The best! As long as I live in Southern California, I will be dining here. Everything about the experience is enjoyable. You’ll like it too!

We were back in LA for a quick visit to see some friends and HAD to come by here to see John and get some phở! We hadn’t been around since the renovation and we were SO impressed! Not only is the restaurant so much bigger and so beautiful(even the new flooring the women’s restroom is pretty!), the service and quality of the food is still so amazing! I tried something new for me– #17A and was amazed at the depth of flavors in one bowl. Super delicious and something you can’t find many places. Tip from a former regular(we had to move far away): everything I’ve ever had here is TOPNOTCH. It’s so easy to always get the same thing. This is one of the rare places you can try anything on the menu and be adventurous and it’s probably going to be the most authentic and best you’ll find of that dish. John and his team work hard to always maintain the best quality so this is the perfect spot for you to try new dishes or stick to you favorite every time.

Tasty phở with flavorful broth and very cheap prices! I ordered for takeout: egg rolls $ 5, and a large #12 and #7 phở. Total was about $ 22. Very affordable! We had a ton of leftovers for 3 adults and 1 kid. Honestly a large phở could feed 2 adults. Broth was very clean and flavorful, they packaged the broth separate from the noodles in these convenient plastic containers. They give you a plastic Baggie with your fresh veggies, bean sprouts, and sauces. I love the egg rolls! Perfectly crispy and the fish sauce is lightly spicy with some julienned carrots in it. Very good starter. Parking is in a open strip mall with some other stores… during rush hours it was a little hard to find a spot but people do leave eventually. I had to circle around for a minute. A couple families waiting for a table when I came at 12:30 but I was in and out with my takeout order in under 7 minutes! Nice! I like this place and would come again.

Came here with my brother after looking on Unilocal for a place to get some good phó. Was not disappointed here. Right when we got in around 11:00 we were told we could sit anywhere we liked. They quickly took our order and within 10 minutes we were already eating. The service here is quick and the people are friendly. The food was delicious! They serve a lot of meat with the phó which is great. Portions are large and very satisfying. I’d definitely come back on another cold morning like today.

This is my favorite local Phở place! I come here for lunch with my love and my bestie, Summer. I’m obsessed with the egg roll bun(Vermicelli Noodle Salad Bowl), #24 for lunch, and the meatball phở #15 when I want hot soup. The egg roll appetizer is great too and the grilled pork spring rolls with the crunchy center. Even at lunch time when its SUPER busy, they still race around to make sure you are seated and served quickly. John is awesome, he remembers us every time and has a huge smile on his face. It’s comforting when you are recognized and feel at home at a restaurant. I must elaborate on the bun dish because its my favorite. It’s a large portion, fresh and hot egg rolls on top, a large layer of vermicelli noodles, and underneath is shredded lettuce and bean sprouts. The sauce that is served on the side, I don’t use that for dipping! I pour the entire thing over the bowl and add a little Sriracha. YES!

Thank you, Unilocalers, for another recommendation! We were in the neighborhood before a Beach Cities Symphony concert at El Camino College, and did not have a clue where to eat. I love the Unilocal function where you can search within a category near a location. That’s how we found Saigon Dish, and Unilocalers did not fail. We arrived at 6:15 or so on a Friday night and the dining room was at least half empty. Hubs and I shared the chicken spring rolls to start, fresh and delicious, and the shrimp spring rolls looked even better. We also shared a combo(#65 perhaps?) on soft chow mien noodles. I am not usually a fan of various meats and seafood in one dish, but everything was of such high quality that it was hard to find fault. My husband had a Vietnamese beer and I had a Tsing Tsao(sp?). When we left at 7 – 7:15 the room was packed and there was a good-sized line outside. Wow! We felt lucky to have arrived early, and will definitely be back. The servers were impressed with my cello case(can’t leave it in the car after all) so extra points since they knew it was not a guitar.

After almost a dozen visits and meals ranging from phở to broken rice with shrimp cake dishes, this place is definitely as good as it gets! The owner works incredibly hard on satisfying just about everyone that walks in to the restaurant. Given the lunch hour gets very busy, the effort for satisfaction definitely shows. On a price level, many other Vietnamese restaurants do not compare as fair, and that’s a good thing. The phở is more affordable than other locations, the pork vermicelli dishes, the rolls, just about all of it. I walk in and out of there never feeling robbed. I’m half white and half Vietnamese so let me explain the phở and why I think it’s one of the best, if not the best, in the South Bay Area. The noodle to broth proportions are spot on! You receive the right amount of noodle that doesn’t overwhelm the broth, nor does it hide underneath all the scallions or rare steak. The broth itself serves a wonderful balance of flavor with minimal sodium accents and very little oil. In other words, your lips will not feel like you just took a kiss to a slice of cheese pizza. As for the vermicelli dishes, finally, a fish sauce that not only blends well with the toppings, but it literally blends well with the noodles themselves. My previous experience at another establishment served vermicelli noodles where the fish sauce seemed to bounce off the noodles, resulting in an unwelcoming conflict both in the bowl and upon tasting the dish. Here at Saigon Dish, they made it work and it’s wonderful. I have no reason to stop coming here. It’s simply a constant unraveling of awesomeness and binding Vietnamese comfort food, but with flavors that say, «Yes, this IS Vietnamese food dagnabit!» Halfway through this review, my stomach started growling at the idea of indulging in another vermicelli sheet pork dish. Ah, can’t get enough of it. Go, have some good Vietnamese food, because if you are craving anything in particular, this is your for sure stop.

After a Labor Day weekend well spent in Las Vegas, I was craving one of my favorite homemade dishes: bun rieu. New to LA, I’ve been on the hunt for a true contender to my mother-in-law’s bun rieu, but today the hunt is over… Bun Rieu(4⁄5 stars): soup base is hearty and rich in tomato flavor. I squeezed in two limes and ripped mint leaves to enhance the taste. The noodle consistency was perfect, thin and soft. They are generous on the crab patties and fish cake. I also like how they give a side of shrimp paste. This is a very salty dipping paste which compliments the fish cake & crab meat nicely. Nem Nuong(3⁄5): decent, but I wouldn’t recommend. The pork needs to be grilled a little more & they should add more crunch to the roll. Vietnamese Iced Coffee-to go style(4⁄5): good taste. Perfect for on the go, they put it in a to-go cup. But listen people, it’s supposed to be enjoy French Pressed, I’m so excited because I found out Saigon Dish serves it this way upon request. I can’t wait to order it next time.
