Quality Custom Upholstery

So happy with my newly upholstered chair. It really looks brand new and is just what I was hoping it would look like after picking out fabric that was similar to my original chair. I had never used this company before so naturally I was somewhat unsure of what I would get. It wasn’t cheap but the results were perfect. This chair would be more if I bought it at a high quality furniture store. I love the style of the chair so I decided to go the route of reupholstering it versus buying a new chair. So happy there is Unilocal so others can benefit from the reviews of very pleased customers. The location of the shop is close to the corner of Inglewood and Marine. It is slightly west of that corner on Marine. A very small place but I highly recommend it.

My son has a 2005 Volvo and he asked for a new headliner for same for his birthday. Thanks to Carlos at T & C, as he referred me to Amadeus owner of Custom Upholstery in Lawndale. When I called to make an appointment I was told it could be done in one day if I arrived at 8:30. We arrived and the car was ready by 4 o’clock. They did an amazing job and I would highly recommend this business. Excellent work, reasonable price.

These guys couldn’t be nicer and they do great work! Had the cushion of my mid century chair redone, looks great. They even gave me extra material for the heck of it in case I want to do the rest of the chair at some point.

They did a great job reupholstering my wingback chair at a competitive price. Good attention to detail and customer service. They promptly called me when the chair was completed and helped me carefully load the chair onto my SUV.

Moises and his son continue to do great work. We recently had him reupholster a bench from the 1940’s in mohair, and he was able to match the new tacks on the edge of the seat to the vintage tacks on the back of the bench. He also made new seat cushions for 2 of our occasional chairs. The workmanship, turnaround time and the price couldn’t be beat!

I have never gotten anything reupholster before, so I didn’t know the price, but now I do, so this wouldn’t be a thing that I could afford to do regularly.
The owner (I think his name is Moises) is a true businessman and willing to negotiate. He’s been in business long enough to know that if you lower your prices a bit, you will get repeat business.
His son on the other hand needs to learn that! Very strict and unwilling to negotiate. Lalo, learn to negotiate. It’s a business deal! If you close yourself off and unwilling to budge a little, how can you expect customers to return?
Will I come back? Yes, but it has to be a piece of furniture I love and I would want to deal with the owner only. The son has proven to not be a good negotiator or businessman. He came off greedy and unwilling to negotiate, which may put some customers off in this economy.
I was also willing to bring in another piece of furniture, but because the son seemed so unwilling to negotiate a deal that would satisfy us both, I’m really going to have to think about it.

Quality Custom Upholstery did an Outstanding job completely rebuilding and recovering an Antique 1920 era couch. It was broken down and ugly and now is solid, comfortable and a thing of beauty. Their price was also very reasonable.
I highly recommend Moses and his son at Quality Custom Upholstery.

These guys are the best! Great old-​school shop. Superb craftsmanship and attention to detail. Our architecture and interior design firm sends all of our clients to Moises… He’s the real deal and a super-​nice guy.

I was I need of an upholsterer and since the one I used in the past is no longer available I stopped by Evans Upholstery Supply in Torrance and asked who or where.
The young lady behind the counter hands me a card and say’ «Moises is the best, over in Lawndale.»
So off I went to this place and met Moises Sanchez and told him my predicament.
I had recently purchased online a Sun Sail patio shade, but when it arrived I found that I had only measured once not twice and it was too wide!
That brings us here. Moises say no problem I’ll cut it at a seem and it will perfect. (which it does.)
