I’ve been coming here for a few months now. They always have fresh meat. I’ve never been disappointed. Very clean and friendly staff.

Well I was in the mood for some pan dulce and always wanting to try new salsas and new places. I read the reviews, because not all Carniceria’s(Mexican meat markets) are the same. But it’s nice to have choices and give business to the community, especially mom & pop places. It’s located on the busy corner of Marine and Hawthorne, getting there wasn’t a problem, but the parking lot is challenging since as most of them are located with a bunch of other businesses in a mini plaza. Luckily I was able to grab a parking spot, but I can forsee a mess on the weekends. Well I went in and it was obvious I looked lost and new. The butcher asked if I needed help, well he was very helpful. He let me try the salsas — they only have two red and green sauce style salsas. They were actually pretty good & had flavor. I took the red. I also grabbed some pan dulce, it was fresh and although they didn’t have my «sandia» cookie, they had the other common sweet breads found everywhere else. Bollilos too. They have a little grocery & produce section too. Why the low stars? Well…(Here I go): I went on a late Friday afternoon. I failed to read or remember the reviews stating they cash paychecks — yes everyone in line w/no products in hand were there to cash their checks, one register obviously because it’s a small store, but it still sucked waiting w/tray of sweet breads(me at the time being the only female & only person buying food, in a huge line that managed to curve in that small space of an entrance, while the rest of the males were only there to get their pay… yikes). The other factor was the parking lot and a couple of horrible drivers who parked on both sides of me, one who had to beat me for a spot and the other who almost hit my car. And finally, the type of people who go there… oh why must I be PC? Let me put it this way, they were just rude & I felt like I was in the lion’s den, it was an awkward and uncomfortable experience and I’ve never felt that way in the many marketa’s of EastLos. Will that stop me for going there? No. Would I still recommend & give a decent review, Yes. For me, I now know how it works, so I’d definitely avoid weekends and go early on the weekdays, including Fridays. I didn’t get any marinated/prepared meats, but by the looks of it, looked pretty good, prices average and the cooked foods looked and smelled really good. Husband’s verdict on the salsa: He loved it. Something different, considering where we now live, no places nearby, so it’ll take a little drive out getting and it reminds him of one of the hole in wall restaurants in Boyle Heights. They take plastic and of course they charge a dollar to use(for now).

It is refreshing to go to this neighborhood market that has quality meats, mean burritos and to die for sweet bread. Now, it is not cheap but once you try it you will be hooked! La Fiesta puts out the finest ingredients in all there specialty foods. From there moist and yummy sweet bread to their mouthwatering, salacious, explode in your mouth“carne asada preparada”. Hands down La fiesta Meat Market quintessentially puts out a rare carne asada unmatched by any others, in my 15 years living in the area. No more going to Grand Central Market. Hands down, the best in the South Bay! At my super bowl party people are still talking about the carne asada. That was last year! Sabrosa!

Love getting burritos from this place. I usually get carnitas. The ingredients are fresh and hot. They are generous with the amount of ingredients that they give you. For about $ 5 you get a big delicious burrito. Their rice and beans are good too. The service is quick and one of the workers even remembers me. Great local place. Y’all should try it.

Still the worst. That’s not pork or cow. What is it? The guy who makes the burritos is a rude muchacho. The place is small and you wouldn’t be surprised found a foreign object in your food.

I loved this hole in the wall! Roasted chicken and carnitas tortas are fabulous! The portions are gigantic! The meat market carries chicken chorizo and marinated BBQ meats… awesome.

Wow this place has some of the best pre marinated chicken you can get for BBQ ing. So cheap and so good. They also have a bakery, and walk up food to go, produce and other items, small market ish stuff. Some bench seating is available out side to eat at. I had a chicken burrito and for $ 4 its so good. Blows away the burritos you get at any fast food place hand down. It all taste home made, the prices are so low you will be amazed, and not going here to get meat for a BBQ is just plain cheating your self.

It is a Bakery, a meat market, a Restaurant and a seafood restaurant all in one corner. I have tried them all and they are authentic and good. Great prices and the places are always busy. This is great Mexican food. It is fast food, but slow cooked for the flavor and goodness. It doesn’t matter what you order from their large menu of choices — it is all good and low cost.

Carne Asada plate — tortillas were plentiful, but the meat was a little too tough for my taste. Maybe I’ll try the carnitas next time. Horchata came from a fountain soda dispenser and tasted bleh. Not my thing… pass on it next time!

I ate here on a whim hoping for«hole-in-the-wall deliciousness» but instead got food poisoning. Also, the menu choices were slim and the carnitas were way too salty. I had a torta and the guy who made it basically just slapped it all together. When I took it outside to eat it, the entire bun was covered in sour cream and it was just the worst looking/tasting torta I’ve ever eaten. This place is terrible and I don’t know how anyone would ever eat ther multiple times.

Hands down, the absolute BEST carnitas I’ve ever had. Great service too. The attached bakery also happens to have the most delicious pan dulce(in mini sizes, too!) I’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong with La Fiesta.

I’ve been working in the area since 1986 and back in the day this was a BBQ joint. After they went out of business the store sat empty for a long, long time. It finally opened as a neighborhood-type meat market but it wasn’t until after it had open for a while that I discovered that they also servered fresh, hot food. What a find! Everything is fresh and the portions are huge. The carnitas are moist and tender. One taco should be enough for any normal appetitie(My foody friend Virak always got two.) The burritos are usually enough for two meals. The beans are whole beans(like my grandma used to make) and the salsas/hotsauces are fresh. Be aware that this is the real deal and they will have cuts of meat that you just will not find at Raphs. Our informal name for this place is «Mound of Meat». Because this is not a restaurant-proper you do have to take a couple of things into account: you pay first and then give your receipt to the cook; the only tables are some benches just outside the front door and this is a rather busy intersection.

You’ll find this carniceria /market in the shopping plaza on the north east corner of Hawthorne Blvd and Marine Ave. Nice selection of seasoned carne asada, as well as seasoned chicken, pork, etc… you’ll even find the more exotic type items(various hoofs, tripe, etc…) There’s also a small grocery side with produce(gotta get those Mexican green onions to grill with the meat!) and a bakery as well. A take-out cooked food portion is also set up in the front. I haven’t tried it yet, but the carnitas looked very tempting!
