D.F. Customz

I bought a new 2012 Volkswagon GLI and went to DF Customz because it was nearby and I wanted it done the same day.
They took my car in and after two days, I noticed like 4 big bubbles in the back window, dust in the rear left window tint, small imperfections in pretty much every other window, and the front window was the worst (I know it’s illegal this is not about that.) There was a streak of air all throughout the bottom and it just looked horrid. They left scraps of tint all throughout my car. To make things worse, when I was waiting to be picked up the first weekend, (sucks I have to spend multiple weekends doing this) a worker’s buddies/​nephews took up the only 2 seats available to sit in and I was left standing waiting for my ride.
I was SO ANGRY for days. I calmed down and brought it in 2 weekends later because I am a professional and have to work on weekdays, and I had plans the following weekend. I was literally mad the entire two weeks looking at my car. When they gave the car back to me at the end of the next session, it was even worse. There were streaks of air that the guy clearly did not put effort into squeezing out in the back two windows. There was residual glue in the front, and the front was cut so poorly it is definitely the opposite of professional. The back window was not cut properly either, it is not terrible in the back, but it cannot be classified as «good».
This is the worst case scenario and it is unfolding for me: I am taking it back to them next weekend to have all the tint stripped off to get it done somewhere else done RIGHT. (My time is very valuable… I only have weekends free and I have to deal with this bullshit?!) I love my car and I want a clean tint job! It is seriously SOO unacceptable I don’t know how they are able to give my car back to me with a straight face.
AVOID THIS PLACE and go somewhere where you won’t have regrets and will have to take it back time after time. They may be a little cheaper and able to fit you into their schedule right away, but it is definitely, absolutely not worth it.
In conclusion: Waste of $ 225 and 3 entire days, even wasting my family/​friends’ time to have to pick me up and drop me off. GO ELSEWHERE!!!
P. S. I came here because they had good reviews. «LANCE» does not work here. I was shocked when I saw an old lady putting tint on my windows, and the second time it was some white guy who, as evidence shows, does an amateur job. No love was put into the work they did on my car.

Went back and had them re-​do my tints. I had to be there for 7 hours because they tried giving my car back to me with residual glue stuck under the tint, scratches in the tint, etc. It has been a couple days after it has dried and lo-​and-​behold, a crack in the tint.
The lady doing it was VERY unhappy, she was complaining in spanish to the boss that I want it done perfect. OF COURSE I WANT IT PERFECT! What is a «puta»? Cuz I saying words like that to a customer is pretty bad service.
This time around the owner had a friend around who smelled like shit sitting next to me waiting. Eff this place.
There was another angry customer when I was there for 7 hours too. Apparently they destroyed his rim.
Tips for management: HIRE MORE COMPETENT WORKERS.

Lance has tinted the windows on at least 3 other cars for our family. When I recently purchased a new vehicle I took it straight to him and he did an amazing job. My car is super small and needed two front, two side and one back window done. He quoted us $ 150.00 and two hours tops and he completely delivered.
Lance is a consummate professional and knows what he’s doing. He’s been tinting windows for over 20 years so there are no bubbles, no purple tints and your car looks like it just rolled out of the factory.

I just purchased a 2012 Prius C III and went to a few places to get estimates. I received an estimate of $ 150.00 for three windows at another establishment and thought that was pretty expensive. I continued my search and found reviews of Unilocal for Lance, who has moved to 15 200 W. Inglewood Ave, Lawndale, CA 90 260 (310) 675‑6700.
I called Lance and set up an appointment for the following day at 10am. The shop was easy to find as described by Lance directly across the street from the Vons Supermarket. The sign for the shop is Yellow ‘D.F. Customz’, hard to miss.
I sat in my vehicle waiting for Lance to shop up and at 9:55am Lance came up to my door and said bring your vehicle in which I did.
The shop does stereo $ 99 & up, accessories, tires new & used, auto glass $ 49 & up, tint $ 89 & up, rims, alarms $ 99 & up, HID $ 69 & up & L.E.D. This shop offers Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Sony, Kicker & Rockford Fosgate.
Lance explained the different levels of tint and the percentage of UV that gets through the different levels of tint. I decided to go with the limo tint on the back three windows to make the front windows look like they are tinted without them being tinted. Lance asked if I wanted to wait as he completed my tint job, I said I would. Lance quoted the time of the job for three windows at a little over an hour. Lance got to work right away and I sat in the waiting room killing time on my Iphone.
11:15am arrived and Lance walked into the waiting room to tell me my vehicle was ready. Lance did a walk around the vehicle with me and explained how to clean the windows from this point forward. Lance explained the warranty and how the warranty was for as long as I owned the vehicle which makes more sense to me than a blanketed ‘Lifetime’ warranty.
The inspection of the vehicle was flawless an absolutely perfect job. Lance takes great pride in his work.
The bill was a $ 100.00 which saved me $ 50.00 on the other prices out there.
I will refer people to Lance and his shop of professionals.
