Whatever your culinary needs are, owner & Executive Chef Jennifer Story along with her professional & experienced crew will take care of you! We work with all different types of cuisines, clientele & budgets! Entertain your guests in style with anything from a small casual dinner party to a big elaborate wedding either at your home or a special location, let us do all of the work for you… or hire Food Network «Chopped» finalist Chef Jen herself to teach hands on cooking classes in your home or at the restaurant whether just you or more than a group of two! We are also currently open as a restaurant during limited store hours & will deliver homemade healthy gourmet meals to your front door as part of our weekly meal service. Whatever you are looking for & wherever you location, there is something for everyone & we do travel! Established in 2006.
Cookin’ Thyme Inc. is a trusted family owned & operated restaurant & company. Owner Chef Jen is classically trained having attended the Le Cordon School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, CA where she graduated with perfect attendace at the top of her class. She started her restaurant & catering experience at the gem of the South Bay called Chez Mélange in Redondo Beach. Prior to her culinary interest, she received 2 degrees from the University of Southern California which aids in her efficiently run restaurant & catering business. Her mother Bernadette & brother Jason are integral parts of the company… so you will always see at least one if not all three of them at the restaurant or at an off-sight location event. Chef Jen has worked in a multitude of high-end restaurants & has run the catering department for some of them. She also used to run the cooking classes at the South Bay School of Cooking & at Cookin’ Stuff before she branched off on her own due to the high demand!

After graduating from culinary school and working heavily in the restaurant industry, Jennifer became a food stylist in Hollywood where she designed, cooked and styled dishes for Suzanne Somers, Jorge Cruise, the Food Network’s «Calorie Commando», Marie’s salad dressing, The Magic Bullet, KABC and KTLA news, the Tyra Banks Show, Cacique cheese, Bristol Farms, Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, Panda Express & superfoods guru Dr. Steven Pratt to name a few. She also served as backstage kitchen culinary producer on various cooking shows and aided in publications on how to become a personal chef. Jennifer has cooked for high-end clientele such as Johnny Depp, Dr. Phil, Mark Wahlberg, Larry King, Tommy Lasorda, The Lakers, Carson Daly, Ciara, Drake, ESPN host Jim Rome, Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger, the prince of Saudi Arabia, the Dana Point St. Regis Resort, Century City’s Intercontinental Hotel, Marina del Rey Marriott, USC University Club, Athenaeum Club & LMU Special Events
