Wish they served more local fish! My kids love Mac and Cheese but won’t eat theirs because it’s «too fancy». The place is cute but food just mediocre. For great fresh local fish I much prefer Crab Shack over the Mantoloking Bridge.

We love this place for lunch. The fish tacos are excellent. You can walk right off the beach and eat. Prices are very reasonable.

The food was very bland and had no texture. The fries were floppy and chewy. Atmosphere was cute but definitely DONOTRECOMMEND!!! :(

This place encompasses the Jersey Shore. Great food, casual dining, fun vibe and a accommodating staff. Listen to island music and munch on fresh fish and a crab soup to die for. BYOB is also a plus. Enjoy!

This was my first time since Sandy returning to Crabby Rick’s, my only disappointment was they were out of soft-shell crabs… The blackened fish was great, so was the crab cake. The kids loved their fish tacos. Maybe get a better onion ring supplier… but that’s minor.

LOVELOVELOVE this place! Finally we have a seafood shack at the shore! The staff is also super accommodating and it’s just a great fun and reasonably priced place with super fresh fish. One of my favorite places at the shore. Remember to get extra of the Dude Sauce!

Great Food and Comfy outside seating for casual dining. Nothing better than eating some awesome Fish Sandwiches outside on a nice summer day… Great place, good for kids and surfers…

Delicious fresh ingredients. Eat outside on one of 6 picnic tables. Plenty of parking. Bring your own wine or beer and have dinner under the stars. We love the steak burger, fish tacos, blacken fish sandwich and the kids love the mac and cheese. It is moderately priced but worth it for a quality meal at the beach. Located in Normandy Beach on route 35 north. Support a local business.

If you are looking for a place with your favorite fresh seafood right next to the beach THENDON’T COMEHERE. I was looking for that too, and instead of telling me they were out of lobster for the lobster roll, they just added in artificial lobster meat. I knew this before it even came to my plate because i overheard the guys in the kitchen deciding what to do «since they didn’t have enough for the sandwich» and they decided to «add in one real one and one fake one». They giggled amongst themselves and looked aver and saw that i had over heard it all and became awkwardly quiet. They must not be too bright because we were the only 2 customers there. I am appalled that they are passing off this $ 16.95 sandwich as something it is not. They served it with some fresh potato chips but they were over fried almost burnt tasting– mediocre at best. We also ordered the Flash Fried Full Belly Ipswich Clams which tasted like they were frozen out of the box with cheap orange chicken nugget type breading. My boyfriend had the crab cake sandwich that suspiciously did not taste like crab. He is a crab cake junkie and believes this was a no more than a 50:50 blend of crab and something else. It got 1 star because of its location next to the beach. But don’t be fooled… Many summertime visitors are lured in by the idea of a genuine crab shack at the jersey shore, when it truly is a cafeteria style snack stand with over priced no frills freezer boxed seafood. You can get better food in many many places in the area, don’t waste your time here. PS Wasn’t this place called Crabby Dicks when it opened? Whats up with that.

Let me start by saying $ 100 for 4 people to eat here… on a picnic table(there are only 3FYI) with a lovely view of a giant smelly garbage can… yummy!!! Our receipt read Crabby Dicks &the sign says Crabby Ricks either way all this place will get is Crabby Customers… Just spare your self the time money and possible nausea(mom ate the full belly clams & roasted corn(that came out stone cold & she was NOT well afterwards.) This place should provide fresh tasty food at a reasonable price it’s a shack after all… there is no way this place will make it here long term, I wish I knew how many came once and never again, because that’s us. There are too many great places in the area to waste your time & appetite & money here. SKIPIT!

My wife had the fish filet sandwich and I had the soft shell crab. We shared an order of fried oysters. Both of our stomachs have been jacked up since. No bueno.
