Arrived mid afternoon following a busy Mother’s Day. The group had corn muffins with strawberry butter, shrimp and grits, biscuits with duck gravy and side of eggs, crab cake Benedict, sandwich. The food was good but tasted like it had been made fore a while. Not fresh :-(

Definitely the best place I have eaten in the tri-state area. Their food always comes out hot and is always delicious. The service is always fantastic! They have great selection of draft beers and good cocktails. Their fried chicken, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese are my absolute favorite! I am always recommending Wedge to my friends.

So awesome! The duck was awesome. Also had the brisket and ribs and they were really great. Table side s’mores are wonderful! Our new favorite date night in the area!

Finally, another good restaurant in the area. We had both steak offerings and it was very good. Smoked ribeye was very good. I also like the drink selection, with an excellent beer selection many WVA and KY beers. All of the sides we had were good, including the kale and beans. Looking around, your experience good be affected by your server. It struck me looking around that there was some inconsistency.

I ordered the brisket with blueberry barbecue, horseradish and mashed potatoes served on a wood cutting board with a side of green bean casserole served in a small cast iron pan. Everything served on the cutting board was served room temperature(so disappointed). The meat was very tender, but a smidge dry. The mashed potatoes(also room temperature) were pretty good. Loved the blueberry and the horseradish sauces. The green bean casserole was not your traditional dish. It was whole green beans roasted and topped with a mildly spicy sauce and fried onions. Very tasty and served hot. The waitress provided me with replacement brisket to take home. I ordered smores for dessert. I believe the marshmallows were made from scratch, cut into rectangles. The graham crackers were stale with a thin layer of chocolate spread on them. Very thin. There was a little burner to roast the marshmallows. They were the only thing worth eating of the dish. The manager removed the charge for the dessert. So it wasn’t terrible. It was okay. I’m guessing it was an off night(Friday) for the chef because the people sitting next to us complained about their ribs. Another complaint on the other side of us was complaining about their wine. So.. . Maybe it will be 5 stars on another night.

This is without a doubt the best place I’ve eaten in the tri-state area. Service was attentive, accommodating and knowledgable. Décor is unique and pleasant. I had the crab cakes which were delicious, along with the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever tasted. Wine was excellent as well. Five stars!

My husband and i ate here Saturday night for a date night! It was our 2nd time! The food was delicious! Hubs ordered the smoked ribeye. It was done just to his liking. I ordered the brisket. It was so tender and delicious. Braised kale and mac and cheese sides were so good! Our server was attentive and kept our drink glasses full! We will def be back again and again!

Well imagine going to a barbeque restaurant in West Virginia and wanting to get something Vegan! Well, that was me! I was traveling for business and with a large group of co-workers so this was the best thing in town. Being that I am not too picky, I can usually find something Vegan everywhere I go even if I just end up eating lettuce. Well after reading the menu and seeing absolutely nothing Vegan, I had a talk with the server and asked if he could just have the Chef make me a salad with every vegetable he had in the kitchen. The result was amazing! A beautifully prepared salad with a grilled bok choy lettuce(I think), avocado, tomatoes, onions and other things I can’t remember with their outstanding made from scratch balsamic vinaigrette. Hats off to the chef for being so accommodating and doing it so well! I wish I could tell you what I had so you can order it but it was made just for me! By the way, my coworkers all raved about the ribs and especially the brisket so I’d advise you to give those a try!

My family and I visited Wedge for the first time this weekend. We had a wonderful meal. My husband got the brisket with jalapeño cheese grits. I had the meatloaf. My nephew had the pulled pork nachos. The portions were so generous that we all ended up having to get to-go boxes. My only complaint is with regard to the seating. We were seated at a small table: Our table was really too small for 3 people, given the way side dishes are each plated separately. Once we added drinks and such, it felt a bit crowded. The small tables seem best suited for parties of two, unless you’re only having drinks or an appetizer.

In my previous review I critiqued that they did not have Tobasco, but only horrendous Texas Pete. Well, today I walk in and am greeted with Tobasco! Thanks, Drew! Have five stars! Thanks for listening!

Everything was great. Food was excellent, service wonderful, and beer selection outstanding. Well worth the out of the way trip to Silo’s golf course for this hidden gem. We will be going back!

Cannot rave enough. Fantastic service. Sunday brunch is tremendous. I had some sort of hash that was outstanding. The mini corn muffins were great too. For dinner, I’m not sure there is a bad choice. I’ve personally had the nachos, brisket, and apple pie. Get them all. Eat. Go. Now.

If you like lots of meat and fattening side dishes, this is the place for you. The menu is very limited(meat, cheesy, or fried) with no vegetarian choices. The atmosphere is nice and service is great. Nice wine and beer selection. But the menu is just too heavy with no lighter choices.

Brunswick stew. I spent the last year eating out in DC, Boston, and Newport, and this was one of the best dishes I’ve had in that time. Really, all the food was very good. I’ve never had duck drumsticks before! This place by far gave the best meal I’ve had in Huntington, and it was at a good price as well. Check out the s’mores for dessert. The service was incredible. Our server was there whenever we needed something. The night before we ate at Le Bistro where it took an hour and a half to get our food and we couldn’t even get our waters refilled. Here though, the server was incredibly engaging and attentive. The beer list here is an extensive selection of WV beers. Honestly when I was in Morgantown for three years, I thought I didn’t like any of the local WV breweries, but Wedge had some I’d never seen before. I’m guessing they’re new? My wife and I both found them to be excellent. I wish there was a cocktail list, but they put together a well balanced and strong Manhattan. If you like beer or whiskey, they know how to do it right. Finally the restaurant itself had a great atmosphere. It was laid back but you could definitely bring a date here, or family as I did. This place is a must in Huntington.

After calling ahead earlier in the week AND arriving early(as we were asked to do) our party, after waiting for over two hours to be seated, finally just left. We had a large group of 18 for my birthday so my wife, knowing I had been wanting to try The Wedge, made arrangements. We were told they had a room off to the side where they could seat large groups and if we arrived 30 minutes ahead of time, they could put us there. When we arrived, they said it would take about 45 minutes. That’s reasonable. After waiting the first hour we inquired and were told they did not have enough staff to service the room to the side and they were instead going to seat us at two large tables near the bar area. Not what we had planned upon but o.k., we’ll survive. At 90 minutes they said they were still waiting on another table. Two of our party became frustrated and left. At two hours we told them we were giving it another 10 minutes and then we were going to have to leave. The hostess would only say«I’m sorry.» over and over again. Yes, she was polite, as were we, but a solution rather that patronization would have been preferred. In ten minutes we left. Not once did anyone come out to us. Never did a manager come out to apologize. For the last 30 minutes of waiting, we were 16 of the 18 in the lobby yet zero communication to us. Imagine our disappointment. We went to the local Mexican restaurant and had a blast! We realize we had a large party but there is still no excuse for that level of poor service and for the complete absence of communication(let alone the incorrect communication). Had the manager simply told us they weren’t going to be able to accommodate us, we could have moved on two hours sooner. Edit: The owner has reached out to me personally and apologized. We will eventually give The Wedge another try and edit our review once we do. Fair is fair.

Great food and atmosphere. The pulled pork nachos were amazing. The filet was incredible as well. The only thing we didn’t get to try was the home made smores platter for dessert. They were out of their home made marshmallows at the time. Pricing was alot better than anticipated. The two of us eat for right around 80 – 85 dollars.
