Tantastic

This is one of the best salons I’ve been to in MD. Its definitely the cleanest. (And booooy I could name some dirty ones.) I use the same nail tech and eyebrow «waxer» everytime I go. I never wait long, with or without an appointment, and my nails and toes are done just how I like them.
I even commend my nail tech for not just throwing acrylic on top of my damaged nails when I wasnt sure if I needed to let them grow a little more. That right there earned my business forever! The shop I just left a little over a year ago would have surely ignored my concerns and did what made them the most money.
They keep it professional and treat customers with respect. My only suggestion would be to get some matte polish! (lol!)

This place does excellent eyebrow waxing! Every single time my eyebrows have been waxed and shaped perfectly.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. They treat u like u are apart of the family. Everything is always perfect. My hubby only let Vivian touch his feet.

Had been their neighbouring business for over 9 years and a customer for over 6 years. Got eyebrows shaped on Aug 6^th and didn’t have tie for pedi/​Mani, so made an appt to come next day. Eyebrows were done by nice older vietnamese lady but next day another young rude vietnamese? girl «did» mani/​pedicure while constantly arguing loudly with another male worker there and the owners seemed to be away.
She hardly looked at the feet that she was working on and when I tried to bring her attention by interrupting her chattering with the other worker, she seemed to neither understand English or care and continued her «conversation» with th other equally chattering male worker.
After their heated conversation, she just pointed me to chair and walked away with him still immersed in her ongoing debate with him.
When she started doing manicure, she didn’t seem interested at all and was overly rough to the point where i had to say loudly ouches few times but it didn’t seem to bother her at all.
By end of manicure my fingers & feet looked worse than when I came to the store.
But as she didn’t speak english and I was too upset to take the matter further. I paid (with very little tip) and left.
I had to catch a flight that night to Canada to see my ailing sister-​in-​law.
After 2 days my cuticles were bleeding and there was some swelling too. I didn’t want to go to doctor there as I might not have medical coverage there, but my brother took lots of pics of my finger & cuticles & I applied bandages on them, so they don;t sting when I bathe or wash my hands.
After I came back I called and talked to Brian at Tantastic, asking for the manager. First he told me that the managers & owners are away but he can probably help me as he is responsible for customer complaints. After told him the the whole story, he told me to come to the store.
I asked him if I could get the email for the manager or owner, so I could write to them and send them the pics to see. But he just won’t do that or give me their names either. He asked me if I wanted the refund. I said that should be the least the store could do.
So I got in the care and drove for 30 mins from silver spring to show him my fingers & the pics on my cell phone. But there he suddenly became irrational and tried to justify bleeding by many other ways.
It turned out that he is the owner, as I thought he was for last 10 years, but lied through his teeth.
He went back to his words about refunding and never gave me a cent back.
HORRIBLESTAFF & ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS SERVICE.

Atmosphere is nothing special but everyone who works there is very friendly and easy to communicate with. I went for a pedicure and gel polish manicure. I felt as though my technician really took the time to double check everything and fix things if she didn’t think it was up to par. My nails looked fantastic when she was done. While we were waiting for my nails under the UV light once, she noticed I was stretching out me neck and so she hoped up and gave me a short, two-​minute neck massage! Now that’s service for you! We just moved to Laurel a few months ago and I’m happy to have found a nail salon that does a good job, has good prices, and is so close to home.

This has been my go to place for pedicures since moving to MD. I can have a different technician and NEVER have a problem with my service. I always come during the week because they can’t get REAL busy on the weekends!
I do wish you could tip using credit cards though. As much as I come I still forget to bring cash and I always have to go to Target to get some!

I went with a friend who frequents the place. We specifically went for the gel manicures (AKA shellac) for $ 30. The people working there were very friendly and I didn’t get the «talking about me in a foreign language» vibe. I’m not sure if it’s family run, but if it is, then it was the older dad who did my nails. They had a good selection of gel nail colors, and he did a nice job applying mine. I’m happy with the result and my experience.

I wrote another review and it was filtered. I have been going to Tantastic for over a year. I have also been to many other Laurel nail salons and this has the best service and consistent performance. I have had the best pedicures here! Owners are very nice people.

Great business. Like previous person said, it’s very easy to communicate with the staff. I go every couple of weeks to get my eyebrows waxed and nails done. They do a great job on my nails no matter who I have do them. They listen to what I want and prices are reasonable. I haven’t done the tanning there, but it appears to always have people on that end as well!

Best place for eyebrows! Often people want to know where I got my eyebrows done! Also, nails always come out perfect.

I really like it here. Not fancy but they do a really good job. It is very easy
to communicate with everyone in this salon, and they really try to satisfy your needs. I have been a client for about 5 years and they are very nice. I always love my nails and toes when I leave. I would recommend to anyone.
