Prance Around and Chrissy took care of our dog, Zoey, for more than a year. They offered great peace of mind for us knowing Chrissy would be taking care of our girl while we were gone for long workdays. Joelyne was very responsive, flexible, and accommodating of our needs and changing schedules. Unfortunately we’re no longer in their service area, but I highly recommend Prance Around to those looking for a trustworthy and dependable dog walker/​sitter in the Laurel area!

Josh and I trust them with our much loved dog trigger. They are very accommodating, flexible, and trust worthy. Happy to have found them! I do not give 5 stars easily on reviews but they do deserve them.

I am a frequent traveler and don’t always have much notice before trips. Prance Around is always there for me: even if I have to email them on the way to the airport. It’s great to know that my cats will get excellent care. I highly recommend Prance Around Pet Services!

We’ve used Prance Around twice so far to feed our kitty when we left town and they’re terrific! Not only did they feed her and scooped her litter, they also texted us photos of her and left very thoughtful pet sitting reports :) It’s a relief to have such an excellent and reliable service available.

I’ve been using Prance Around Pet Services for a few months now. I sometimes have to work long hours, but it makes me feel so much better to know that my pup is being taken care of by such a great staff of people. Cricket, my sheltie, is a little shy around new people at first, and everyone went above and beyond to make sure that she was comfortable. I even had a nice 30 minute meet and greet with my walker, Victoria. I got photos, daily notes, and even a video and I could really tell that my girl was having a great time. Many times my schedule changed last minute, and they were very easy to work with, accommodating me every time. I have no complaints at all, I only hope after I move to Arizona I can find as good a dog walking service there! I would highly recommend Prance Around for anyone looking for a reliable dog walker.

They provided excellent care of our two dogs and two cats while we were out of town on a few occasions. There are not many people I trust to take care of my furry kids, but Prance Around Pet Services is certainly on that short list!

I trust Prance Around more than I trust my closest friends (dog people) to look after my cat while I’m out of town. Not only did Joelyne (owner/​our pet sitter) feed him and clean his litter, she made sure to wipe his tears, brush his long coat, and give him lots of attention! I’m pretty sure my cat was looking for her after I returned home from my trip…

We’ve been using Prance Around for dog walking services for almost a year and we absolutely love them! The owners Justin and Joelyne are so nice and communicative. We’ve had two regular walkers, KC and Erik, who have both been great. The walkers leave you a note each walk letting you know how things went, whether they went #1 and/​or #2 and any additional notes. They offer a range of services and lengths of walks so you can choose the service that fits your and your pet’s needs. We love the ease of scheduling services, viewing completed services and viewing our invoices through their online pet portal. We feel confident in trusting Prance Around with our little girl and will continue to use them for all of our dog walks.

When my partner and I decided to adopt two feral rescue kittens, our biggest worries weren’t about behavior (well, except maybe for litterbox training!) We mostly worried over what we would do on our frequent camping and kayaking adventures. A Friday to Sunday trip is one thing, but when we go for extended periods — as we did this past week — we knew we were going to have to look into pet sitting.
We chose Prance Around mostly because of their location and great Unilocal reviews, and felt certain we had made the right choice as soon as we met Justin at our introductory interview. We were not disappointed!
We will definitely be calling Prance Around again, probably even for just weekend trips, now… their rates are more than reasonable and we really liked the peace of mind that our girls were being watched after while we were away!

Phenomenal service! Prance Around has catered to my last minute and special needs on many occasions. I am a very protective mom to two dogs that are spoiled rotten. Prance around put (and kept) me at ease. I highly recommend their services.

We had lost our friend’s ability to come live at our house while we were away, and were looking to board our rescue Lab, Thomas, when I used Unilocal and came across Prance Around. The idea of leaving your pet in their natural environment and routines, rather than putting them in to a very different social setting in a boarding establishment intrigued us.
As you all probably do, the high Unilocal star rating catches the eye, but the number of ratings to us, as well as the text, reallly tells the story. This is true of Prance Around. The mandatory pre-​engagement interview is great– Joelyne came by, was very very polite and was especially gracious as we went through a couple of minor catastrophes preparing for our 5 day vacation sans our used dog. What I liked? She took down VERY careful notes on how much to feed, brand, where the items are located, what are the owner’s rules on «operating» their pets, (where we walk him, how far, what toys he’s allowed to tug on, etc). The occasional, unexpected text pic of your fur son or daughter having a grand time is really a great personal touch– I’d encourage you to allow them to send you that pic, as it eases your mind when you’re out of town.
As is often the case when you don’t have firm travel plans, Prance Around has been flexible on your arrival and departure dates; I’ve had to shift my return date twice, and they replied with «no problem!». The house just as we left it, the mail picked up, the dog amazingly happy AND settled when we come home. (It’s nice when your dog misses you while you’re gone, but it’s even better if he’s not crazy happy, because then you wonder if he’s been depressed while you’re gone).
We have always opted for 3 visits a day– that costs 50% more, but it’s kept our son happy as all get out, as he’s gotten more walks than when we were home!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by both humans and canines in our home!

If I could, I would give Prance Around Pet Services 6 stars, but on Unilocal I can only give 5. I love their dedication to animals. They worry when they don’t see my cat (I have two — the youngest love to hide), and they do search for him. I love how they keep in touch by sending me pics no matter where I am in this world. And I love it that my Joey, who likes no one but my husband and I, loves the staff of Prance Around.
I did look around once to check out other pet sitting services, but then I decided I already had the best one in the entire state. I love them, my cats love them, and we’re all happy with them. They are my pet sitters for as long as I’m around. Any one who needs pet sitters can get a true and honest recommendation from me to go with Prance Around.

My apartment building provides «pet care» by their staff for free… hopefully it says a lot that I always turn down free service for Prance Around, because they are professional, caring, conscientious, and 100 other great adjectives.
I love Prance Around, for all the reasons stated by other reviewers. I hate leaving my sweet cat by himself, because he is very personable and likes hugs, kisses, and attention. KC has watched my Wiley twice, and when she leaves notes about his behavior I know she really cares and interacts with him while she’s there.

My husband and I have used the dog walking services here for 5 months. Our dog walker KC, is wonderful! Willa just loves her, and we certainly appreciated all the advice and notes that KC has left us as our 14 week old, 35 pound GSD has grown into a 7 month old 62 lb teen-​pup. The prices here are very fair, and the customer service is unbeatable. We leave them with two keys for our home, and communicate all visits (including cancellations) through email.
The nice thing about their customer service is how easy it is to schedule last minute walks, or cancel a walk on days when we are snowed in (my god we had a lot this year!). They charge an extra 10 dollars on holidays, and when schools in the county are closed, we know services are cancelled. They are very easy to work with, and super friendly and professional.
I cannot recommend this company enough for your four-​footed family members.

Honestly there isn’t enough happy things to say. My fur babies were so happy and healthy when I came home. We left them in Prance Around’s care during Thanksgiving break (4 days) and it was like I never left. I love to see my kitties pictures on their facebook page along with all the other happy critters they take care of. Super great people who know how to give the extra attention to detail and care.
Its great to be able to travel and know your animals are in good hands. The price is more than reasonable. I used to board my cats when I went away but that was always so stressful, its great to be able to leave them in the comfort of their home and be taken care of. Even our destruction plotting kitten was no match for Prance Around.
Will be recommending to everyone I know!

I love Prance Around! Cheryl in Germantown is wonderful. I no longer worry about my cat, Box, when I go out of town – Cheryl does a great job of coming by the house and making sure he is ok. And my neighbors are happy, too, because I don’t have to bug them them to «babysit.» I recommend Prance Around to anyone who loves their pets and needs a sitter. I trust them implicitly!

I’m kind of disappointed that we don’t travel more, because Prance Around is great! We have a unique situation with our cats and wanted to make sure they were well taken care of when we came across Prance Around.
Dealing with them was fantastic! They had no problem coming out during Thanksgiving when we were gone. The rates are reasonable and our cats were obviously well taken care of (and groomed!). In fact they were so well taken care of that all three of them didn’t even seem to care that we had returned home. Yay?
My favorite part was the note and an extra kitty toy we found when we returned. We’ve also gotten a Christmas card for our cats. Very personalized service, very friendly people, and great rates! I have absolutely no problem recommending Prance Around and I wish we could use them more often.

From our very first introduction with Joelyne, the extremely personable owner, to our most recent service we could not be happier. They are flexible, and the pet specific care is like no other. They leave daily notes letting us know how Tugboat did during his walk, and it is not uncommon to receive a text message with a fun picture.
Tugboat loves his mid-​day walks, and the extra special attention he receives from the staff. I am convinced they adore him as much as we do! I would not trust anyone else with our beloved pets.

I just returned home from a 10 day trip during which my mom watched my dog, and Prance Around came twice a day to take her out for walks. I could not be happier with the love and care they gave to my pup!
— They responded to my initial inquiry quickly, and were able to accommodate us with little notice.
— I trust very few people with my dog — she is aggressive towards other animals and I’m always concerned that people won’t be able to handle her. That fear dissipated by the time I was done with meeting Joelyne, the owner of Prance Around. They did a great job walking Osa, without incident!
— My pup is currently undergoing physical therapy and is on meds — they were meticulous about following the doctor’s orders for exercise and medication.
— They checked in with my mom consistently, to report any abnormalities (vomiting from medication), and to see if she needed help with the medication.
