I’ve tried here twice. I REALLY wanted to like the services provided because she is very nice, but it just does not work. I have had lashes several times before with others and my key issues here are that 1) the lashes rarely stay straight(or in) after 3 days. They twist around each other terribly. 2) The adhesive that is used is troublesome. It is almost like hair bonding glue which does not allow for a natural fall out but they almost need to be «pulled» off, which damages the lashes. I just wished so badly I could like this and I really hate to give a negative review, but I could not in good conscious not say anything because I found the salon as many other did, through Unilocal.I am sure, with time, it will get better though!

I went to Kimberly for semi-permanent lashes on Feb 26th. The first few days the lashes looked pretty. However, a week later the lashes begin to twist and turn. I discovered that the placement of many of the lashes were not isolated. Basically I had 2 or 3 lashes to 1 lash. This is not the appropriate way to apply lashes. By March 8th I had enough, so I went back to Kimberly and asked her to remove them. She stated that she would not be able remove them for another few weeks because the adhesive she use was so strong and that the stuff she uses to remove lashes would burn my eyes since the lashes were placed very close to my lids. I was dumbfounded. Why would she apply lashes that can’t be removed without my eyes burning? At any rate, I left her studio frustrated. While Kimberly is a nice lady, she is not an expert and needs more practice. She should also be more professional and explain the process of getting lashes. Well today I just could not take it no longer! I contacted Lash Moi in Bowie, MD and they charged me $ 30 to remove the lashes. Lash Moi is very upscale and professional lash salon. It took the lady(Daschia) no more than 20 minutes and I did not experience any pain or burning and she was able to save my own lashes. I know this is a long review but I feel that Kimberly is novice and needs more training. But again, she’s a very nice lady!

So while I have had strip lashes before, I thought I would try out some lash extensions because I received an email saying she was having a promotion. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. The process is a little long as expected but I was very comfortable and she moved along expertly. When she was done, I took a look and loved what I saw. I was so sure that I would become a regular of hers… until 3 days later. So many little lashes fell out I had to check to make sure there were any left. And what was left didn’t look so natural anymore because of clusters of extensions in certain spots. Was not happy at all and removed them before they damage my real lashes. I’ll definitely stick to mascara on my real lashes and the strips from here on out. Thank goodness I paid the cheaper promotion price.

I went to Kim the day before my daughter’s wedding for lash extentions. I had never had them before. I got nothing but compliments from strangers, family and friends. I am still getting compliments and its two months later. Kim did an amazing job. I will definitely use her again

Meh… Let me start with the fact that I have never worn anytime of false lash… Because I was new to the whole false lash thing I wanted to do strips that way if I didn’t like it it wasn’t a big commitment. When I went in to talk to Kimberly I feel like she was trying to talk me out of the strips which is a huge turn off for me… When they were done I felt like they were too long for my eyes then barely extended the width of my natural eyelash… Which then made it awkward as she still had to finish my nails. I ended up taking them off as soon as I got home… Let me say though she was doing individual lashes when I got there and thoses seem to be a strength for her as the girls lashes looked really good and natural. She was also super nice and did a pretty decent job with my Gel Polish manicure. Also she was located in a salon suite which wasnt noted anywhere on her website so naturally I drove around in circles before finding the place :(Salon suites also freak me out, but that’s my own personal issue)… UPDATE: a day later the gel polish started to peel up. I feel like I just threw my money out the window!
