History

Established in 1996.

Kiddie Academy of Laurel’s preschool program and age-​specific curriculum provide a variety of developmentally appropriate programs for every age group, ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years.

Our instructors possess strong experience in infant, toddler and Pre-​K environments, and they care deeply about the well-​being of the children in their care.

At the academy, we encourage the integration of music and the arts in the classroom as much as we do arithmetic, reading, and writing. Spanish language education is also incorporated in our curriculum.

Kiddie Academy franchisee Margaret Harper opened her first Kiddie Academy franchise in Oxon Hill, Maryland in March, 1997. Then, in 2006, she purchased a second location in Laurel, Maryland. Margaret’s approach to her business can be summarized in one word… quality. A self-​proclaimed over-​achiever, Margaret strives to provide a positive experience for both the parents and the children who attend her Kiddie Academy locations.
