I wasted a lot of time dealing with this car dealership. It all started with a phone call and text on Friday afternoon from James Jasper who works at the Manassas, VA Easterns car dealership. They set up an appointment with me to meet at the laurel location and promised to have the car moved over to Laurel for me by Saturday 3pm.
I arrived 3pm on Saturday and I didn’t see the truck in the parking lot so it raised some red flags. I went to speak with the manager Danny and he set me up with a sales Rep John. John was a nice guy he tried to start me off with some paperwork. (busy work/​waste time) Whats the point of doing paperwork if I can’t see the truck I want first… After about 15 minutes they told me the car was never delivered to this location and asked if I was interested in another vehicle. Bait and Switch tactic. I wasted 2 hours of my time and gas driving out to the location to see a car that was never delivered there. The worst part about all this is I had texted James to confirm the car was delivered and he told me yes.
I don’t even know if its this locations fault or not. I came with intention to purchase and had brought a driver with me.
Thanks for my very memorable attempt at purchasing a car from the place where job’s your credit. I’ve learned better stick to larger dealerships that don’t have gimmick pick up lines.

horrible experience. do not be fooled by the reviews on other sites, as they pay you to leave a good review for them via gas card. i have proof. stay clear of the spanish guy who is the finance manager he is a scammer. do not be lured by the fancy cars they have as most of them are trash and most likely will buckle under you. they throw in so many ridiculous fees and don’t even clean the car for you. dents and scratches appear when you wash your car because they were hidden to deceive customers. the young lady upstairs that does the paper work is a grouchy b***. they prey on people with bad credit and leave them with ridiculous apr’s. go to a reputable dealer like some of the ones on the same washington blvd as them. save your hard earned money and time. the bait and switch rumor is true. looked at a luxury car and liked the price. was told they could not finance me for that car but could another, even though the car they could «finance» me for was more expensive. funny!!!

Terrible exoerience. After talking with an Easterns rep earlier this week, I had an appointment earlier today (Saturday) to look at a truck. I got a confirming email from a Dustin Brown and received two confirming calls from a «Tim», who said he looked forward ti seeing us at 11 am. I have no idea if these people use their own names. I also called at 9:30 am and was told the truck was at the location as promised. We arrived and some sakesperson whose name I never did catch greeted us and initially didnt seem to know anyone named «Tim». He got us seated and then asked if we were interested in financing. I said we wanted to see the truck first. After about two minutes he came back to inform us that unfortunately the truck had been sold the night before in Baltimore. We both walked out, recognizing the old bait and switch. I then pulled up my email from Dustin and called him only to be told that he didnt work there anymore so then they really got a piece of my mind. Glad I really didnt need a car but feel sorry for those who are victimized by this dealer. The only thing I was out was time and gas. Wonder if the vehivle ever really existed to begin with.

I had a great experience today! Ricky and Danny were great and they make sure that you leave with a car you like and can afford without breaking your pockets!

I had the most patient caring salesman Ricky Kline. The manager and finance team made me feel like they had my best interest at heart. I have never had a car buying experience go so well.

I was contacted by Lauren Cody of Easterns automotive about a vehicle that I was interested in and was told that my business was valued. Sadly, I believed her and set aside time in my busy schedule to give her and her company a chance to earn a customer. As many of you with a household, career and an 8 month old child to take care of can attest to, you don’t have many hours in the day to waste. I lost money by taking off of work early and time dealing with these people.
I was promised by Lauren Cody that a reservation was set aside for me and that the car will be awaiting my arrival. We had prearranged that I would be able to take the car for an inspection by an official dealer before purchase. However, upon my arrival, the salesman and his manager had no idea about my arrival. This was an issue because I had already created an appointment with another dealer to provide me a private inspection.
The sales consultant wasn’t rude but he was very pushy when it came to financing. He didn’t bother to ask if I needed it and upon my realization of what he was attempting to fill out, I told him to stop. I had not even seen the car yet, although he insisted that he knew where it was, and I did not need their financing.
After 30 minutes, I finally got this guy to go get the car. Unsurprisingly he comes back and says that it isn’t even at the facility. This is after working with Lauren for two days and having this guy tell me that he knew where the vehicle was.
It was the classic bait and switch. And if you search other sites for reviews, you’ll see that this is common. Check out the following link for more information.
