Specialties
DC MetroVet is a mobile veterinary practice that services Washington, DC & the DC Metro area of Maryland.
Dr. JD Warford makes appointments in the comfort of your own home for:
*Routine examinations
*Vaccines
*Behavior consults
*Palliative/end-of life care
*Euthanasia
If your pet is anxious about visits to the clinic, has mobility issues, or you have mobility issues, a busy schedule, or just hate fighting with getting the kitty into the carrier, we can make everything a bit easier.
We do not provide emergency services & depending on your pet’s health situation may have to refer you to a full service hospital for further/more extensive care. Dr. Warford has great relationships with many local clinics (emergency, specialty & regular care), and regularly teams with them for complete patient care.
Our Facebook page for more info about us & info about DC area emergency clinics (in «notes» section), is easily found under username: DCMetroVet
Remember: Sit! Stay! We come to you!
History
Established in 2009.
DC MetroVet started as a very small and limited house call practice under the name No Problem Pets in 2009, which served the DC Metro area of Maryland. Dr. JD Warford focused mainly on behavior consults during that time.
We have since expanded to include Washington, DC, and offer a full array of services including sick exams (NOT emergencies), well exams, vaccines, geriatric consults, behavior consults, and palliative quality of life care and at home euthanasias.

Business Owner
Established in 2009.
J.D. Warford, DVM is the owner & operator. Dr. Warford has over 16 years of veterinary experience in small animal private practice, with a special interest in geriatric care, palliative end-of-life care, and behavior problems.
As Dr. Warford says:
I grew up in Louisiana, & graduated with my DVM from Louisiana State University in 1996. I’m a member of AVMA, AVSAB & LGVMA, CAGLCC & have practiced in rural Louisiana, North-Eastern beach towns, & in the metro area of our nation’s capitol; I’ve co-owned my own practice, worked for & volunteered for non-profits & animal shelters, served as an animal cruelty investigator, been active in competitive obedience and agility training, worked with Therapy Dogs International, & have worked for practices both full time as an associate & as a relief veterinarian.
My approach to general veterinary medicine is gentle and calm; one that takes both the pet AND the owner/family into consideration.
