Ugh. Birthday disaster. The staff were disorganized, a complete lack of communication and coordination, technical issues with advance online waivers not getting processed. Anyone of of these issues as a stand alone could have been overcome, but together compounded into an expensive birthday disaster, disappointed eight year old birthday girl and an entire class of 2^nd graders mostly bored. The kids did not start climbing until 45 minutes into our reserved tent rental time, which left about 15 minutes of climbing before the pizza and cake arrived, which we scrambled to ‘get through’ in a harried hour before being kicked out of the tent. I tried to communicate the issues to staff and management but met only with apathy. If you have ever attended a birthday party at Pump it Up, do not expect that same streamlined smooth headache-​free experience at ClimbZone. But plan to pay much more. My kid will never get that birthday experience back. Quote from one of the parents attending, «Climb zone was a small slice of hell».

My 2.5 and 4.5 year old boys absolutely loved this place. Although, I wish the price was a little cheaper (particularly for my two year old), it was still worth it. My 2.5 year old went up and down the bouncy slide until he was exhausted. And my 4.5 year old climbed the whole time and still didn’t want to leave after three hours. The eating area was a little small, but we still found a place to sit. Staff was very friendly. Can’t wait to take them again. My only complaint is that they NEVER answer the phone. I have to keep calling and calling. Only one time did someone actually answer. Other than that five stars. I thought it helped build confidence and instilled determination as well.

Before heading out to here save yourself some time and book a reservation. If you’re not able to book a reservation its most likely full and they have no spots for causal climbers which means you’ll end up waiting indefinitely.
Cool place with the lots of themed walls to climb. There’s three or four places inside for kids to place that are not climbing based when they are too tired to climb anymore.

I had my son’s birthday party here. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because they don’t have their birthday party flow down yet. They have 3 tents and 1 room to reserve for parties, but they only have two carts. My tent was not ready 15 minutes after the time I was supposed to be able to set up. Also, after the tent was ready, I had to wait on a cart — the parties before mine were using the cart. My suggestion is they extend the time between parties (as I liked not being herded out of the door). The staff was extremely apologetic and helped bring all of the stuff in. Once we got settled in, all was well.
Other than the party snafus, this place is great. Our party host was awesome and patient with the kids. He went over the harness instructions at least five times — several of the kids initially chickened out and then later decided to climb. We will definitely go back.

Something every little boy (or men) dream of! The pictures say it all. I thought indoor rock climbing was awesome, this takes it to a whole new level. This place has everything you as a child dreamt of climbing: Book shelves, the Eiffel Tower, and Lincoln memorial! While the place is filled with children, don’t be mistaken, adults can climb too! You pay for three hours, but really, your ability to grip anything goes away after a little over an hour. Fun!

Awesome place! So fun, great staff, very clean. Our family had a blast! You can bring your own food and drinks. Make a reservation. Full but never waited for a wall to climb. Really great place!

I Had my Sons 3^rd Birthday Party here and he loved it the staff here though young they are very efficient and well organized they made sure that everything ran smooth during the party and always made sure that i was okay during my time there and even though i booked the party for 10 kids and only 6 showed up they allowed me not to have to pay for those kids even though i had made the reservations After the party they help you with clean up and the even gave my so a free two climb session for a birthday gift i would recommend this place for any parent thats looking for something cheap and fun todo with the kids and did i mention that the facility itself is very large and also very clean keep up the good work so much better then pump it up

Fantastic place for little kids, big kids, and adults! Great for parties and individual play. I am impressed.

This is a great place for kids to use all there energy just wish they had food in house but it is plenty of space for adults and kids to equally enjoy themselves great idea

I want to give this place 5 stars SO bad but the price gets to me. There was 4 of us so it cost us $ 100. $ 25 gets you 3 hours, but after about 1 – 1.5 hours, you’ve pretty much had the chance to try all the climbs. We had a great time but I felt like $ 100 was just a little pricey for 1.5 hours of fun.

This place was amazing phenomenon. Words alone would not do it justice.
The staff is very friendly and professional, once the little ones had their instructions they were off on their own. I would highly recommended this place it will be worthwhile and the little ones will not be disappointed.

This was my families first visit. It was awesome. My kids are climbers so I knew they would love it. So many different walls to climb with little to no wait times. For my son who would rather jump than climb the day that we went he enjoyed the 3 bouncy houses. I love that you can bring or order your food there and they have a drinks and ice cream for purchase. We can’t wait to go back. It’s really a place the entire family can enjoy.

So awesome! We went at the perfect time when there were only 10 – 15 others around. The staff were super great! Michael and Maddie checked on us periodically and were so kind and encouraging to my 5 year old son. We had a blast! Of course now he thinks he can be on that obstacle television show! LoL Great price, clean place, and super fun for all ages. We even enjoyed the three bounce house/​slides. Highly recommend. I hope my review doesn’t make it too crowded for the next time and the many more times we plan on going!!!

Brought my son and his cousin here, my son is four, his cousin is ten. My nephew is a big sports kid, plays hockey, soccer, baseball, etc and is always one of the better players on his teams.
His eyes lit up when we walked in, he did the quick tutorial and climbed half the courses while we were there. He can’t wait to go back when he is in town again.
They are very safety focus which is great, one complaint is I need to continually tighten my sons harness, wish they could have a harness that stayed tight.
But overall this place is great, very clean and well maintained.

Fantastic, exhausting fun for kids and adults to do together. I was tired after an hour, but the pass is for 3 hours, so we kept climbing more walls. Look at the photos for an idea of how adorable these climbing walls are. The soccer balls wall was the easiest.

So much fun … The family enjoyed every second we were here. So many walls to choose from and different skills levels. I only gave it 4stars because I think the pricing could be a little different. It’s should be 10 and over for the higher price to come into play. It’s a little crazy to pay $ 25 for a 6−9yr old.

This place is simply awesome. My 12-​year old spent the full 3 hours here and was exhausted at the end — good for a cold winter day. Completely safe with several attendants on hand to help. It is fun for adults and kids — maybe I’ll try next time. One of the attendants said the owners had 3 in New Zealand and did some market research and determined Laurel was a good location for the DC area. Very ingenious ways of getting to the top. It is worth the price.

Holy moly this place is amazing! I was a little worried when we first signed up online and I saw the price… $ 40ish to entertain my two young kids, and I wasn’t even sure if they’d be able to do most of the things or like it? In this area, I’ve encountered many overpriced places that turned out to really not be worth it.
That said, this was worth every single penny! We were totally blown away from the minute we walked in. My kids– 3 and 6 years old– were fitted with harnesses and given a quick, but thorough (and kid-​friendly) rundown on how to clip in and out of the auto-​belay system. The lady that fitted them was super friendly, and very reassuring to my nervous 3-​year old. The equipment and walls seem to be in very, very good shaper and made of high quality materials. It’s obvious someone took a lot of time to pay close attention to every detail, down to the details in the painted climbing scenes.
Yes, it was crowded, but I wouldn’t say it was overcrowded at all, my older son never waited more than a few minutes to climb any of the sections, and most of the time there wasn’t a wait at all. I felt very safe about allowing my kids to climb up the various structures, and even go on the bouncy areas, because anytime I looked around, there was at least one staff member within 15 – 20 feet of me, watching and waiting to help anyone who should need it. Things got a little crowded on the taller inflatable slide, and a staff member came right over to keep an eye on all the kids. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and enthusiastic– SUCH a pleasant experience!
We also purchased a few snacks and drinks at the snack bar– I thought these were reasonably priced and there was a nice selection of options too.
Not only will we be back, but we’re coming tomorrow and bringing a friend! I think the value is totally worth it, but I would love to see a membership or punch pass available to purchase. We would definitely put it on the boys’ birthday wish lists for the grandparents. As it is, we’ll be back as often as we can– this was so much fun!

Awesome place for the kids and the adventurous parents ! Multi-​theme climbing walls, with very safe equipment that lets the kids glide back down slowly if they loose their grip or loose strength. Bring sneakers, everything else they have. Btw: the Latte is also good and the staff super friendly. Kudos to GM Liesl !!!

Wow. Just wow. This place is absolutely amazing!
It’s located in an industrial park in Laurel. GPS found it just fine.
When you walk in the door expect to be immediately amazed. The walls each contain their own theme. From Tetris, to Washington Monuments, to space, and a soccer ball field you won’t be disappointed. All the walls are uniquely created and amazingly hand painted! There are so many you can easily spend hours trying to climb all of them.
Staff was super nice and extremely helpful. The manager was amazing and walked around and chatted with us about all the walls and which ones were more difficult than others. He definitely made sure our experience was amazing!
The belaying system is all automatic so you can clip in yourself and don’t have to depend on a partner to give you slack or help you down. Took my 3 year old and he had an easy time climbing up the walls. His favorite part was of course letting go and falling down.
Price is around $ 26/​adult and I believe $ 15 for 2 and over (if climbing). The price includes 3 hours of climb time and use of the three bouncers they have available in the facility. No special shoes or harness fees.
The warehouse was equipped with multiple tables and chairs and cubbies to stick all of your stuff in. There were drinks (including espresso bar!) and snacks available for purchase but you can bring in your own food.
For the little guys who aren’t climbing they have a gated area with blocks and climbing pads so they can get some energy out too. And moms will appreciate that the bathrooms were family friendly and included a changing table as well as a nursing chair if you chose to use it.
I highly recommend visiting! Even without the kiddos, it’s a great date spot. The drive from DC is not bad and totally worth it. This place will definitely be in our rotation of fun family outings.
