Alpha Handwriting provides services for the development of handwriting skills in children of all ages and cognitive levels. We emphasize the importance of handwriting through our services using hands-​on, child-​friendly and engaging methods.

Handwriting is the primary mode of communication for children in schools and trouble translating ideas to paper may result in lower test scores. Furthermore, handwriting difficulties can hinder a child’s academic development and negatively impact their self-​esteem.

History

Established in 2012.

Alpha Handwriting Services was started to provide parents who have children who need help with improving their handwriting skills. The program used, Handwriting Without Tears ® is a engaging and exciting way to learn how to make letters numbers and sentences in the correct sequence of formation and ensure proper grasp. This will enhance your child’s school performance as well as their self esteem!

Our company allows a handwriting specialist to come to your home and help your child in a one on one or small group setting to provide maximum learning and progress.

I am a practicing occupational therapist, with a Master’s degree, who works primarily with pediatrics in a school based setting. I am a Handwriting Without Tears Level 1 Certified handwriting specialist. I provide handwriting evaluations use the Handwriting without Tears Print Tool, private tutoring, and group tutoring. Handwriting workshops and training are available for teachers, schools, parents, and community groups. have obtained the highest level Certification as a Handwriting Specialist through Handwriting Without Tears in order to be seen as one who is knowledgeable in assessing, correcting, and designing programs for handwriting difficulties and who is effective in training others in this handwriting protocol. I have state and federal background checks and have also been through a background check by the HWT certification process.
