One year I endured paying $ 1200 for the thinnest walls on this side of the world. I could hear the neighbors breathing, kids crying on the first floor(I’m on the 6th floor), and sirens all day! I exaggerated on the first two, but in all seriousness if you’re going to rent from building 4222 don’t let them charge you $ 1200 for a two bedroom when others in the same building are charging $ 1000 for the same floor plan. The paper thin walls comment was serious, and sirens are heard all the time, not to mention traffic on the adjacent street. If you can hear the cars passing by with the windows closed on the 6th floor then there’s a problem and this was some cheap construction job. Also, good luck finding a space for your second car! You better get here before 6pm to find a close GUEST space. If not you will find yourself driving your housemate to the other side of this complex(which is pretty damn far) to leave their car there and come right back. This was a pretty bad experience for me, especially thinking that it would be nicer for us coming from Miami. We found a HOUSE for rent in Hollywood for $ 1150/month. Do your research and don’t come here if you value your sleep and noises bother you. Lastly, be mindful of associations. They dictate EVERYTHING. I’m about to move out and it has to be on specific days and times. I was badgered by the building manager for walking my two dogs without a leash(under 20lbs each dog), yet people walk around with gigantic dogs without a leash all the time. Maybe I just had bad experiences and they’ve left a sour taste in my mouth. Just do your research and don’t let someone overcharge you when you could be paying more in a quieter, nicer, and more convenient place.
