I spend the winters in Florida and stop by Rick & Carol’s weekly. Among other things, they buy buy odd lots and close-outs from other stores, so some items come and go. I bought a nice couch there that makes a bed for the guests room. Off season, I have bought some items from their internet Ebay store as well.

I would not recommend this store! I purchased many«final sale» items from the store that no longer work/operate and it has been less than 24 hours! I purchased a nice tower fan that blew very cold air, it was nice. Overnight it stopped blowing air and now I can’t take it back or exchange it. Bought a nice looking iron, looked new but was used and still had water in it. Please do not waste money on electronics! The clothes purchased were nice especially the dress pants.

Wow is all I have to say. Only my friend Jeffrey Mack would have known about this place being the Bargain Hunter he is who told me this was the place to buy Beach chairs. I had no clue where I was going as my GPS guided me through back streets of Lauderhill Florida. As I was getting closer I was imagining that this place was going to be someone’s house with the garage door open selling stuff where I would back my car up and load up stuff. I wasn’t sure but I was up for the adventure to get a deal on Beach chairs for my summer vacation. I pulled into the parking lot in the front of the store and got out. Upon walking to the front door I shook My head laughing as I entered the store not know what to expect. There are a bunch of doors in the front. Use the one on the far right to enter. Got in and couldn’t believe how big this place was and started roaming the isles/back warehouse. All kinds of new stuff. Clothes, Electronics, furniture, whatever you need your likely to find a deal. I got my 2 Beach chairs and 2 nice outdoor pillows for my patio area outside. Same pillows I bought at Pier 1 Imports for $ 25.00 each for only $ 5.00 each. If you want to get out for a day of bargain hunting this is your spot. A majority of the items are major retail brands with minor issues, such as a ripped box, scuff or factory sticker removed. Minor issues but this is how they sell stuff so cheap. The chairs I bought are in excellent condition with the exception of a little dust from being in the open warehouse.

A novel discount store. Stuff is everywhere, tiny bit short of flea market. Like there’s not really a system where stuff is located, but if you go there enough you know where the stuff that you want is placed, unless they moved it… lol. But they seem they are organizing things better as time goes along. They have some of EVERYTHING from food stuffs to furniture, toys, clothes, shoes, towels, sheets, bug zappers, light bulbs, paper ware, fancy water bottles, car seat covers, blankets, aspirin, deodorant, dishes, electronics, watches, big TVs, paper shredders, wine coolers, generators, safes– those big cast iron ones that survive infernos — –I still left a ton of stuff off this list haha… be aware that scratch and ding and retaped boxes of repackaged stuff rule here. I go mainly because I’m intrigued every time I go. Its unsuspectingly located in a huge warehouse, a short business row. From the front, it is quite nondescript, next to a dental office. Once inside, it can be overwhelming. You can wander around inside for hours discovering items tucked away in nooks and crannies, inspecting goods for missing parts and defects, looking for that«steal deal». Most of the items look like Costco returns and overstock items. Lots of Kirkland around. I got this really cool 2 person Tommy Bahama beach tent that compacts down into a tiny shoulder bag for $ 15 – it scanned $ 60 on amazon price check, but I had to search through a bunch of them to piece part a complete one to take for myself. Also, some stuff, being a loyal Costco member myself, seemed really over priced for the not-great condition it may have been in. Check expiration dates! Customer service is usually pretty good, too. They get it that its controlled chaos, and they do their best to help you sort through it. In the winter, be prepared to be bulldozed in th aisles like you don’t exist by some lovely visitors who, I’ve witnessed, argue for hours with the cashiers about the clearly posted«no money back, all sales final» policies — -waiting in line, you see it on everyone else’s faces«it was a dollar, really? Unlike maybe, YOU, I’ve got to get back to work!» Workers have been awesome for me, though, with exchanges if you talk to them with decent respect and reasonableness. Gee. Fun.
