Walked in to look at the dogs and the owner immediately started pressuring us to buy one, told him we couldn’t and that we would much rather adopt anyways, man working said «why do you need to break my balls so early in the morning? Go back to California and don’t come back here if you don’t like it» flat out rude and never going back again.

I walked in asking to see a puppy the associate was holding. I was never greeted nicely. She abruptly turned away from me and walked to the back of the store. I asked another associate to see the same puppy she said no she’s taking the puppy to the back you’ll have to come back later really nasty. I responded with fuck you I have money and plenty of places would love to take it. I know not nice but this douchebaggery of a place makes me truly question what’s going on with their puppies. Several of my friends have told me of bad experiences with the owner. When your asking to see a dog that’s being sold for thousands you’d think they’d treat you better. My question is if these low class and low rent people working and running this store think it’s ok to treat customers bad then how horrible do you think they treat these poor dogs. I have 4 dogs. One from a store 3 rescues. I should know better. Please ADOPT don’t SHOP. It is not ever a good experience and today it solidified it. My rescues are all healthy. The one I bought from a store like this has cost me thousands. Puppy mill pushers.

I HAD to go in this store and see if they actually had diamonds and REAL dogs! After about 30 seconds of thinking its really really cool, I felt horrible for the puppies. They are in bright colored boxed in cases without proper ventilation, soft padding or toys. I had to leave soon after because my heart was aching so bad and I felt disturbed.

Total SCAM! They say these are healthy small dogs and it is all a lie. I go in the store every now and then to check out the breeds. My sister got a dog here which was supposed to be 13−15lbs… He is now 23lbs not overweight and is only 7months!
Numerous times the dogs have had ear mites.
But the last time is what truly set them for failure in my books. I asked about a cavalier that they had supposedly from champion bloodlines *lies* with a not so desirable snout so I inquired about the parents. Guess what after waiting ours for a call back they say they don’t have a picture of the parents… Now… Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that if it is a true champion bloodline from a breeder you would have proper documentation and pictures to prove your claims… PUPPY MILL DOGS– def not from a breeder and not from champion bloodlines…

Only giving one star because zero is not an option.
The owner, Dom, refused to give me information over the phone regarding a dog they had on display. I asked where the dog came from and he said I was not able to have that information unless I paid at minimum $ 3000 for the dog– he then called me a douche bag. He actually called me a douche bag over the phone. I was floored. I’m not sure what kind of business would find it acceptable to call a customer with simple questions about their product a douche bag. Your product is a living animal, you douche.
This place is selling over priced puppy mill dogs and cheap jewelry to tourists. The owner Dom, should be thrown into a small cage and sold to tourists-he’s not benefitting the area otherwise.

I recently purchased a puppy English Bulldog. At purchase, I was told she was in perfect health conditions. Upon returning home and taking the puppy to a local veterinarian, I was told that the dog has major genetic hip issues. When speaking with the owner of Diamonds & Doggies, he refused to offer any immediate assistance, dismissing my concerns and asking for a second vet opinion. Naturally, the second veterinarian at a different hospital confirmed these same health findings. It has been days since any response from the store owner, who before hanging up on me, stated that the dog must have fallen, that his veterinarians did not find any issues with the dogs prior to my purchase of her, and that had he known, «he would have never accepted the dog from the breeder».
For those seeking to own a puppy, I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from Diamonds & Doggies and look elsewhere. YOU DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH THE OWNERS OF DIAMONDS & DOGGIES.
Save yourself the time and heartbreak. Take this from a genuine customer who wishes she was warned in advance.

PARVO one word ruined our family. I should have known by all other reviews this place was no good. My husband thought it would be great to by an expensive dog from this place and it ended breaking my kids hearts. Three days after being home the dog took a turn for the worse and I took her to the vet that they suggested using and it ended up the dog had PARVO. There was no remorse from Diamonds and Doggies owner either he says «Thats the life of a dog» I guy like this should not be selling dogs he has no respect for these innocent animals they are just a paycheck for him. I have to explain to my three kids why their precious puppy isn’t coming home and the owner here could careless.
The paper work on the dog was fudged also (so if you buy i puppy from here please… please…please look over to make sure dog was really checked) He has joined forces with Seiler Animal Hosiptal and the marked off dog was checked for everything by another vet… guess what there was no other vet… Dominick said it was Bayview but they never saw the dog. This puppy should have never been for sale and we would not be going through this.
Please stay away and do not give this guy any business…
They have no answers on his puppies because they are all puppy mill dogs… We learned the hard why PLEASE STAY AWAY…
He is a scammer along with Seiler Animal Hospital… Alot of Shady business between seller and animal hospital…

Passed by this store while visiting Lauderdale by the Sea and OMG the first thing that caught my eye was the cute little puppy in the window. I have NEVER seen a dog store like this before. Walked in and it was Paris Hilton’d out — bling everywhere, with pet couture and accessories that are to die for. TOO CUTE! I wasn’t going to buy a dog because the price was out of my budget (2500 for an adorable toy dog), but I got to hold and hug and play w/​the puppy without any pressure from the staff. The owner, Dominick was super friendly, and an expert in the business. I enjoyed my visit to the max.

The business concept is cool, but at face value. The «diamond» part is some pretty cheap looking jewelry. The doggies were adorable but looked unhappy and very tired. It was heartbreaking to see them In such conditions. The shop has pictures of celebrities who apparently have shopped or bought dogs there– but the photos looked fake. Who knows. it’s so much better to adopt animals from a shelter than to support potential puppy mills or irresponsible breeders anyway. If you want a dog, adopt from a shelter. If you want diamonds, check out Tiffany’s.

I would rate this place 0 if possible! I brought my children in to pick out their new puppy. They wanted to see the French bulldog & were trying to pet it when the owner came over and told my 4 and 7r old to leave. I had words with him for being so rude & he called my innocent children who were trying to pick out a forever pet «Mutts». This horrible man had the audacity to speak about children in this way?! And expect to charge $ 2,000+ for a sickly puppy mill dog. I will save a dog from the animal shelter instead, lesson learned.

I am pretty sure this is a puppy mill. They take puppies away from their mom way too young and sell them to tourists… I hugged a puppy and whispered this in his ear and the lady in scrubs grabbed him out of my arms and kicked me out of the store… Don’t buy a puppy here. This place should be out of business.

Puppy mill pure breads, disco balls and tacky bling; yep — this place sums up the terribleness of every «Real Housewives» show.
Oh, and I let the Lauderdale-​By-​The-​Sea Chamber of Commerce know what I thought of the whimpering and no-​doubt dehydrated puppies staring at tourists from behind the same type of glass that also housed the tacky jewelry for sale at Diamonds & Doggies.

What an awesome combo, exquisite jewels and adorable puppies, the finest caring owners a block from the beach in lovely Lauderdale By The Sea! Dominique is so caring and accommodating, made sure that when I won my puppy at the auction of the Jessica June Foundation (helping kids with cancer) that I also won the basket that had everything I could possibly need for my new pup! Got all the breeder information about lineage too. Very pleased with my puppy and the caring attentive staff!

We got a puppy here a little while back. We were told it was a mix of two breeds, which was fine because his face was absolutely adorable. When we got him he was just under 4 pounds! Him being so small was exactly why I wanted him. I was told from one of the woman who works there that he would only get «1 – 2 pounds bigger», that is funny because my dog is now 14 pounds! Not only did he shed his original dark coat and is now a much much lighter color dog, he is also much larger than we anticipated. I love my dog and would not trade him in for the world, but I agree with the previous comment regarding them not having any knowledge what so ever regarding small breeds and that too leads me to wonder where my poor dog came from. I was told from many people to do a dog dna test to even confirm the breed I was told he was since nobody believes me when I tell him what he is. For the price we spent on this dog I would have atleast appreciated some true information. Again I love my dog but I would not recommend this place.

I walked in this store (after asking if it was OK to come in) with my friend and his dog with my dog that I rescued from the streets of Miami. I use a gentle leader for my dog which is a type of leash (look it up, it is an obedience tool used by trainers for both large and small dogs) The owner questioned the use of the gentle leader claiming it was abuse. I tried to respectfully and calmly explain what a gentle leader was (I was surprised that a man who cares and trains and sells dogs would have no knowledge of this) but was rudely interrupted. We were asked to leave the store but before we could even take a step, the owners friend, an off duty officer threatened to arrest my friend and I for animal abuse (which is a felony in Florida I believe). Naturally I have no interest in being arrested for doing nothing wrong and furthermore, no interest in being separated from my dog, so we promptly left the store. I was appalled by this very disrespectful shop owner’s ignorance and insulting behavior, and even more appalled by the embarrassing gross negligence of authority the off duty police officer displayed. We called later and spoke to the owner, who apologized, but received no apology from the police officer whose behavior I was truly disgusted with. A poor representation of the badge in my opinion. I have friends who are police officers who would never wave their badge as if they stood above the law and threaten for no reason. Bullies do not make good officers, and I seriously question the validity of this shop owner’s claim to care for the puppies he sells if he doesn’t have the proper knowledge or even the desire to learn more about the many different ways to care for dogs. I’ve been a dog owner my entire life and I am not one to start a fight or argue, but it truly saddens me to see ignorance combined with rage and an unwillingness to listen (especially over such a small issue) result in such an embarrassing situation for myself and my friend. It is very easy to apologize for one’s actions and hindsight is always 20/​20, but as a businessman myself, I recognize the importance of a level head and the need to check one’s emotions at the door when conducting business. Perhaps this will serve as an important lesson for this shop owner who will lose a few customers due to this incident.

First off– umm they’ve never sold dogs to actresses, the pictures look photo shopped! And second of all their dogs have to be puppy mill dogs, every time we asked about the breeder the response was «we are not at liberty to discuss that information» really?! Hmmm you want $ 2700 for a dog and you wont answer my questions??? The staff was very uneducated on small breed pups that was apparent! And further more the condition they keep the dogs is filthy!!! Piss and shit that’s what the poor dogs were sitting in! To the consumer: BEWARE

Diamonds and Doggies is a great concept! First, when walking by the bright colored walls with the shimmer of the back wall catch you eye and you just have to take a peak. I walked in and the staff is welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable of the dogs and which dog would be a fit for your family; allergies, size, with kids etc. When seeing the puppies they are happy and healthy. The store always has puppies playing in the back area and the staff keeps the cages as clean as can be.
Once you walk by the first half of the store on the other side are the BLING! They have gorgeous items for a reasonable price. This store is amazing and they definitely go with their slogan, «the only store of its kind!»

The dogs in this place are BEAUTIFUL! Some of the cutest things I’ve seen since I’ve been down here. Sure as hell beat all the lizards running around.
They are so adorable and all so tiny and cute. So girly. Pink, diamonds, all cute stuff going on in here.
This place is crazy. Dogs and jewelry? Man’s best friend and Woman’s?! Genius. I mean guys don’t typical like these itty bitty dogs but this place is brilliant.
