Lathrop Police Dept

I to have a complaint against the Lathrop Police Dept. I was traveling down Lathrop Rd from Harland toward 5^th St. when a motorcycle hiding in the trees at the park across the street from 5^th st. when he pulled me over he said I was doing 55 in a 35 zone, Now I know I was not doing highway speed, then he said he was cutting me a break and wrote the ticket for 45 in a 35 zone They had just changed the speed limit with in the last year, I had just moved to Manteca, and knew nothing of the change, I was in Lathrop to attend an art show committee meeting. I grew up in Lathrop and Lathrop Rd was always 50mph, I guess 3 homes that face Lathrop Rd complained, and the city council changed it .Boy the must be someone important to get a speed limit changed just like that. I haven’t had a ticket since I was 17 and I’m 51, That officer should have given me a warning. And to boot at my meeting I was telling someone about it, and this lady said“Oh was that you? that motorcycle officer went over a double yellow line and almost made a Comcast van and myself collide when he was going after you” I have decided to stop all my volunteer work for Lathrop and also pull all my assets from the city. Now this is what really got me, last week a friend told me that he had got pulled over with no seat belt and the officer just gave him a warning, how fair is that. I’m wondering how meany people leaving that bar he has pulled over, or over looked. I’ll be back with my court results. I’m sure it’s going to be expensive, after all Lathrop needs all the money they can get since they don’t know how to run a city. New high school with no sewer, New park, built, then torn down due to no levee reinforcement first, JUST SAY’IN

So last night after leaving Bible study, I head on to my next destination.
Since Lathrop Police do not have the issues of crime like Oakland does, they have nothing better to do when they are on patrol, but to ILLEGALLY park on the wrong side of the Street and JACK people by pulling them over. Is there really a quota that police officers have to make? Because every morning in front of Mossdale Elementary you will find a parent dropping there kid off and after the kid has exited the vehicle the police lights go on, the school parking lot will have someone getting jacked by the police. Or you can head anywhere along Louise Ave and find someone getting jacked. If they are not jacking anyone they are sitting there nothing better to do asses at Denny’s with the engines running and lights on while there inside eating.
So because I have already been stopped and ticketed 2 times for the same ass shit, (supposedly not stopping at the stop sign), I make it my point to not give there a reason to fuck with me. So lastnight became my 3^rd time stopped.
So last night as I finally had a witness in the car with me. I am approaching a stop sign I STOP. There is a fence on the right side and the right side of the road is INTENTIONALLY closed OFF to through traffic. So as I am passing the stop sign way back in the cut is LPD. So I look at my witness who is my B.D.D.A.D. (My baby daddy’s dramatic ass daughter) and she is like… «That is a shame!»
Me: You seen I stopped at the stop sign right?
B.D.D.A.D: Yeah
Me: OK…
than them F-​in lights go on…
Me: What the _____B.D.D.A.D. You seen I stopped at that stop sign.
B.D.D.A.D.: Yea Momma
Me: I can’t beliece this shit.
Officer: Can I see your license and registration
Me: Why did you pull me over officer?
Officer: Because you didn’t stop at the stop sign!
Me: I stopped at that stop sign.
Officer: License and registration.
so Bddad passes me my envelope full of papers, and I start looking.
Officer: well I have my camera on so…
(I’m still looking for correct registration)
Officer: just give me the registration right there!
Me: That is old! it’s somewhere in here.
Officer: that’s ok. just give me that…
so he steps away with my stuff, and goes back to car and does the normal dispatch routine, and I make phone call…
Me: «GIRL, I just got stopped by LPD, and I stopped at the stop sign!»
caller: WHAT???
Me: yeah, I can’t believe this shit.
caller: dang they ain’t playing they are pulling everybody over.
Me: I STOPPED AT THE STOP SIGN!
so officer comes back,
Officer: Ok here you go, we have been getting a lot of phone calls about people speeding in the area, and we are just trying to warn people to drive better. So make sure you stop at the sign and wait 2 seconds!
WTF!!! two seconds… I DID, and wouldn’t 2 seconds be a incomplete stop…
LPD if you want to have a more fulfilling job that will not be the same boring ass routine of parking illegally and jacking people for unnecessary ass shit than go to the city of Oakland, and help contribute in making Oakland be the change that you want to see in this world. I noticed since Monday that Oakland has put the same billboard of great paying of 70k in Manteca on 5. .
While you guys are jacking the community for unnecessary tickets, you guys can’t even avoid the crime of vandalism to a skate park that is right next door to the station. Now the skate park is closed due to the 5 cops Lathrop not having a better enforcement right next door. I mean, Come ON?
I am so ready to start a petition on illegal tickets given, so that we can all have a class action suit. I mean 2 SECONDS!
