We are a comprehensive center of foot and ankle medicine. We offer both conservative and surgical treatments of many foot and ankle disorders. Dr. Bauer is trained in reconstructive foot/​ankle surgery, his interests are treating traumatic injuries with current and innovative techniques as well as diabetic limb preservation and amputation prevention. Your sports and «weekend warrior» injuries are welcome. Other services provided include but are not limited to the treatment of heel pain, chronic and acute sprains, bunions, hammertoes, flatfoot, tendinitis, skin and toenail infections, orthotics and bracing,

History

Established in 2014.

Dr. Bauer is a native of the Hudson Valley, NY. He graduated from Siena College with a Bachelor’s of Science, majoring in Biochemistry. From Siena he had moved to New York City where he obtained his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed four years of training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx NY which is a level I trauma center. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Bauer had returned to the capital district to provide a valuable service to the community. He is affiliated with St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany Memorial Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and Samaritan Hospital.
