I am extremely disappointed in Woodlawn Cemetery staff today. First, I called to verify the burial time for my mother-in-law and the lady on the phone acted like I was bothering her. I explained to her the mortuary had set the time up with their on-call staff and we were told they would call us back Monday morning. Since it was now early afternoon I thought I would reach out to them to confirm. Her response to me was, «if you haven’t been in the office, how can you expect to have a time set up. Times around here go fast. «I bit my tongue and told her we would be right in. Then when we got there a lady in the front stated, «it is so hot in here» while another lady stated, «it must be because of all the bodies» then all three ladies started giggling. I was totally appalled at the unprofessionalism of the entire staff. I work in Las Vegas for a hospice company and am completely offended at how the staff at Woodlawn treated my husband and I during such a difficult time. The only reason I am spending time writing a review during such a horrible time is because I want others to check out the options in Las Vegas before choosing Woodlawn.

Yup, it’s a cemetary. My grandfather on my mom’s side is buried here, and as of 09 April 2011, my grandmother on my mom’s side is, also. I thought it would be humorous to review this place. 5 stars. Why? No reason to give it any less.
