WII Play Games

Wow dude on phone was not nice! I just bought a couple of nes games yesterday and called to let them know one was not working! I live on the other side of town and let him know I just wanted help, he told me to use saliva on the game and was kinda of a dick about everything! I know how to do the tricks to make the games work was not born yesterday! Not only are they overpriced in general but dicks about everything too! I will not waste gas and time out of my day to shop at that poorly ran establishment! People save your money and time and look elsewhere!

A great place for buying, selling, and trading trading cards. A huge selection of trading cards for YuGiOh, Magic the Gathering, and Pokemon. There is a helpful staff that is very knowledgeable regarding the trading card games. Cards are priced reasonably. A great vibe for gamers and those who play trading cards. Worth a visit if you are into trading cards or video games.

good selection and most of the employees were very nice… one had a bit of a condescending attitude but i expect that from guy gamers… i’ve been gaming for probably 20 years longer than that kid has been alive so it’s no skin off my nose… i’ll continue gaming long after he’s over it… i love being able to shop for all systems, board games and gifts in one place… it’s pretty much nerd mecca, aside from not having many comics, but they are a game shop, not a comic shop so it’s all good…

This place is the worst video game store in town. Not only are they way more 2x more expensive then any other store and the thing that got me is they are selling fake games calling them hacks. No of a game is already made and being sold it’s not a hack it’s a bootleg and illegal. Don’t come hear they are just going to rip you off hard!
Go to gamers paradise.

This place is AMAZING. I seriously was like a kid at a candy store. Walked in looking for something for my nephews bday and one of the workers, David, was very helpful. He knew all the games I was looking for, what they had and what they didnt. He even told me that they can ship games via their website so that’s pretty cool. We also chatted it up about the store starting a Dungeons and Dragons thing. If I lived here, this place would be my mecca! Bring your nostalgia for video games or your geekiness for board games, card games or Magic the Gathering. They can pretty much fulfill all your needs. And as Wil Wheaton would said, «PLAY MORE GAMES!»

Very large and robust selection of video games and collectibles ranging from all sorts. Very difficult to NOT discover what youre seeking, I personally collect handheld hardware and software and services Wii Play Games is my go to spot since coming to the Vegas area, Dave who operates the portables department of the large store always provides knowledgeable info on items new and retro on point! Always leaving satisfied! Great shopping for any gaming collector!

I’ve been coming to this store regularly for the past 3 years and it has improved ALOT! There is a way bigger selection in games cards, hobby items and just overall everything! The Employees are friendly and very Very helpful. There’s one Employee David who’s helped me with a THE MAJORITY of my GAME collection and also has helped a lot of my friends find games they are looking for and has also introduced my friends and myself to many great games that don’t have the big recognition that they deserve. If your ever looking for an old game or console or just maybe wanting to expand your collection of hobby items, THIS PLACE is definitely where you want to BE! The SERVICE IS GREAT, the EMPLOYEES are what gives this place an identity always COMMUNICATING with the customers. THIS IS THE PLACE YOU NEED to be for all your NERDY NEEDS! GAME ON!

Not bad. Found the game I was looking for. Paper Mario for $ 50. The guy fixing game consoles was kind of a douche bag. Seemed annoyed at the questions my friend had. The guy who rang us up was distracted by my tank top, so ladies, don’t show cleavage. I wouldn’t go here expecting to make any friends. :(

Wii Play Games has really improved since I first started going there! They’ve re-​decorated and improved the organization and accessibility of all of their stock. They’ve also really expanded their table-​top games section with more stock and best yet, a bigger place to play games there with your friends. That’s big with me as one of the best things about a brick and mortar gaming store is being able to actually play games there.
It’s becoming a popular place to play the card games like Magic, Yu Gi Oh and Pokemon. They also have a few campaigns of role playing games going on there too. You can play there with your friends or do demo inviting strangers to play with you now and then for free. If you want to do a regularly scheduled thing, there is a small charge per person for that which helps them defray costs of keeping the play area open instead of filing it with store shelves. A space in a retail store that isn’t providing income to the store is wasted space you see.
They have a pretty wide variety of both video game and table top gaming stuff as well as an increasing variety of collectibles and t-​shirts, so you don’t have to go to Hot Topic or Zia Records for that stuff anymore. Pretty smart.
I can usually find at least one game for one of my systems that I really want to buy every time I go there. Check it out!

I checked this place out recently. The video game selection is really great probably the best in Las Vegas, and it looks like if you’re into Yu-​Gi-​Oh this is probably the best place in Las Vegas for that.
I was there for Magic: The Gathering singles. I was a little disappointing with their selection and pricing. They have plenty of Standard, Modern, and Commander staples in the cases in the back which, while neat to look at, doesn’t give me a great idea of what it’s priced at. I understand that card values fluctuate but it’s still tough and other stores in town manage to list these prices pretty easily.
When I asked, they claimed to use Star City games as a way of pricing their cards. Star City tends to be inflated because they have a gigantic reliable selection and great customer service. For a small store like this, I think that that’s a little high to ask. I would prefer TCG Player pricing like other shops in the area use, but for some cards it’s not unreasonable.
I submitted a list of cards to pull, and specified which edition I wanted for each card. I got the prices back for each card at first which was nice, but most the prices they listed did not reflect even the Star City prices. I ended up settling for only a couple cards off my list where the price was at least close to what was on Star City. I marked the ones I was interested in to pull.
It took about a half hour for them to pull about 10ish cards. Not unreasonable since I was a walk in. However, a few of the cards that I had specified the edition on were not what I had asked for. I didn’t realize this until they showed me the cards as I was checking out. When I asked about it, they said that they didn’t have it in the edition I asked for so they pulled the normal version. I wasn’t too happy that I had to «call them out» on that. I understand getting a random edition if I didn’t specify it, but to ring me up with cards that were not the same edition I asked for and had agreed upon price without telling me up front was not a good feeling.
Since Magic seems to be a bit outside their wheelhouse (especially on the day I was there which seemed to be a big Yu-​Gi-​Oh day) I can’t blame them for a couple mistakes here and there. However, I’d have to say that for Magic I would recommend other locations in Las Vegas.

This place was absolutely amazing and made me feel like a teenager all over again. Dave was able to help me out and exceeded my expectations by far. He not only helped me get exactly what I was looking for but was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions I had and tested everything I was buying so that he could make sure that I was going to be happy with the products I was buying. It was my first time in the store and it most certainly will not be my last. Thanks again!

This is a must see for any gamers in Vegas, or Nevada in general. While the import gaming selection isn’t the best, they have thousands of domestic titles and consoles to buy. They even have a sampling of bootleg games too, which is pretty cool.

If you ever need to release your inner nerd, this is the place to do it. The rundown neighborhood doesn’t do the store justice. The store is massive and has plenty of tables for playing games. I was here before and they had just put in a new POP! collection. My boyfriend really wanted a Goku POP! but they only had the super saiyan one. The employee was super helpful even though they didn’t have what we wanted.
I came back a week later, lo and behold, they found the elusive Goku POP! we searched for. The same guy remembered us when we walked in and was happy to let us know about it. Definitely coming back when I have to shop for a birthday present. It’s hard to find these products in other stores.

My experience at Wii Play games was an awesome experience! A great selection of very rare games, games that are in near perfect condition, and accessories that are very hard to come by. I met the tech guy, Dave, very friendly and knowledgeable. When you buy a game, and if he has multiple copies, he will let you choose the one that looks the best to you. Also, if you’re an avid game collector like me, and you get a good amount of games, Dave will give you some cool discounts. He even stayed late for me when I was there, which was cool, because he never put any pressure on me to hurry up so he can close up shop.
Definitely an awesome place to visit when you are in Las Vegas, especially when you like old school games. You never know what you’ll find there.

Great store and selection for your gaming and trading card needs. Friendly and helpful staff. Even though it’s a bit of a drive it well worth it. All the comic/​game stores around our area has closed so happy to find a great new spot to go to. Let’s try and support our local businesses so they stick around.

Been here many times, always a good experience. Everyone is very nice and helpful. All my kids and step kids love this store. My step daughter was so happy after spending hours at the mall after Christmas looking for walking dead stuff. She came out defeated. On the way home I got hungry for China roll, while waiting for the food we came here. The day was made you had walking dead game she wanted very bad. Thank you cause I got brownie points :)

An essential establishment for the digital generation. I haven’t played a videogame since Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 on the Dreamcast, Sega’s last game system. To my surprise they actually had both the system the game & all accessories for it. There is a virtual museum of almost every game system for sale. I pick up gifts for my teenage bro here. It is a nostalgic stroll every time.
Not every game for every system can be found but you will find the essentials and many rarities or easter egg classics. Market priced of course. Toys are the classic comic book assortment here. Many Spawn X-​men and 1 off characters abound. Tons of animé hottie figurines, of course.
There is a whole section dedicated to what I think are Dungeons & Dragons type live play. You know those card deck games like Poke-​a-​man or Mind craft or something. I swear «comic book guy» from the Simpsons could be seen in that area. I embrace the inner nerd whenever possible yet this never was my cup-​o.
The staff is very knowledgeable and pleasant. Very cool store.

This is a great place
When you stop by you can’t help but to notice the huge storefront. Three big windows advertising their business with great designs. When you go inside it’s just huge with tons of stuff to choose from. They have display cases of vintage system that go as far as the beginning of video games. They have card games and board games too but that’s not why I went there.
I was greeted when I came in and I asked where the sega saturn and sega dreamcast stuff was and the owner directed me to them. They have gondolas full of them. I like that they have games with the original cases and instructions for the most part. They had imports on the bottom which was nice. I like that I could put my hands on them. I’ve learned that you have a better chance of selling an item if it’s in the persons hands.
I spoke to the owner for a a good 10 minutes before I made my purchase but he was talking about how he stopped selling his product online so he could give the locals a chance to buy this stuff which I am very appreciative of. He was talking about the competition. He was not knocking them at all but his beliefs brought it home for me about how he buys games and sells them.
Anyways the selection of games are absolutely amazing. I even told him that I was shocked by how much he had in the condition they were in. The prices are fair too.
I made my purchase, looked around and left. They have a arcade machine as well as a tournament area for their events. I like that its on the other side of the store so it doesn’t interfere with people who just want to go in and browse or shop.
I was very happy with the purchases I made here. Even though it’s a longer drive for me, it’s worth the drive because they had the right attitudes and made me feel welcomed.
I recommend this store to anybody who wants to build on their vintage gaming, or to anyone who plays magic and so forth.
