I had a 10:30 appointment and was called back at 1030, a rare occurrence in this town. I was in and out fairly quickly. And as always, Dr. Lavergne was warm and friendly which made the awkward experience of the yearly exam a breeze.

I actually really liked my doctor and the visit, I have seen a few doctors at this location to get tests/​labs done and every doctor is always very nice and they have always explained things very clearly. The wait times are what I can’t stand, I have been here several times and can say at a minimum I have waited 45 minutes, but it usually is longer. The girls at the reception are always friendly it’s just their system is always so slow at checkout, when I want to pay my bill I really dont want it to take more than 10 minutes. Like I said the actual doctors are good, if you have a lot of problems, or need specialty care this is an amazing place for quality care, they have done so many tests to help me with my issues and it’s made life a little easier finally getting answers to questions other doctors couldnt help me with.

Worst customer service ever. Very rude and unprofessional personal. One star is a huge compliment for this office

Was referred to this location since Dr. Ceballos no longer accepts my insurance. Went in for first prenatal visit and the APN April Lavergne did not even bother to do an exam. All she did was come in the room and basically give me a packet and tell me not to drink alcohol (duh). All women 35 and over are considered high risk pregnancies and there was no mention of this during my two visits. I already knew this, but was waiting for a referral to perinatologist that never came. Also, my insurance covers 70% of genetic testing in women over 35 and the staff and the Banburry location wanted to argue that it wasnt even though I confirmed with insurance company. Tenaya office has much better staff, but I switched OBgyn completely due to the runaround I received.

READ! Never see the midwife Kathleen Menasche!!! She was the most unprofessional and rude provider I’ve ever met. I had two children delivered by Dr harter and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. My sister is pregnant and we went in today. When I asked a question she brushed me off and when on about her business. When asked if we could hear the babies heart beat she said she «doesn’t do that this early along (7 weeks). When I pressed further she stormed out to get the ultrasound machine and while plugging it in said, «I don’t like being bullied into doing SHIT!» She cursed at us. I couldn’t believe my ears. I am reporting her to licensing boards as well. She snapped at me multiple times in the appointment as well. I will NEVER see her again.

Unfortunately, this supposed healthcare center cares more about making a profit off patients and their insurance companies more than it does about women’s health. My family and I have trusted these healthcare practitioners for decades, yet recently they have put up a brick wall to climb to receive simple birth control. I have been on the same pill for years and yet they refused to refill my prescription until I succumb to a pap smear (which they have me on record for passing last year and which is required only ONCE every three years), and a pregnancy test (completely unnecessary for a birth control pill subscription I am already on). I have insurance, and they reassured me these things would be covered, but they were not. This policy is simply ridiculous. I have also been trying for over a year to get an IUD or Nexplanon, but have been given the ultimate run-​around. Luckily, my family has found another healthcare provider who actually provides me with healthcare options.

The worse treatment! First time here ! The office is hard to find it ! Call & answer machine will pick up ! Try to call for directions & when I got there no even good morning! How may I help u ! I say sorry I get lost & i have an appointment @ ! She say Cut $ Dry u are late ! I have to reschedule u ! I was What !!! Anyway lo waited for over an hour for the doctor to see me ! Bad customer service ! I will Never Ever will come back to this location!

After 2 appts at this location, I can only give it a two-​star review. I’m very understanding when it comes to businesses and doctors but I’ve had enough of this one.
Maybe I’ve caught her on off days, but Dr. Lavergne was impatient and sighed/​rolled her eyes when I asked a question. The staff is morose, monotone and unfriendly. They also are incompetent. The staff should be aware of what family planning procedures are covered by insurance and which ones aren’t or at least take the time to look/​ask instead of making me wait 2 months to find out.
I already found another practice that could answer my insurance question without me even being a patient yet, so I’m leaving to go there. Besides, if the staff at this office are that unhappy to be here, why should I want to be?

Dr. April LaVergne is excellent. She is caring and knowledgable. I highly recommend her.

I LOVE this place! The staff is friendly & Dr. April Lavergne is THE BEST!!! Lab tech is quick & as close to painless as possible when having blood drawn. Highly recommend this office!

I had a very unpleasant appointment with Dr. Kathleen Manasche. My previous OB/​GYN retired from this facility, and i needed a refill on an Rx. I was denied a refill when calling this facility, until i saw one of the other physicians at this facility and had gone around and around for over one month, about the importance of continuing my medication. After being told that i HAD to come in to see a physician before i could get a refill, i scheduled my appointment, and saw Dr. Manasche. She was very critical of why first of all, my prior OB/​GYN prescribed me something of that nature, then criticized how i should NOT have been off of that particular med for so long. Long story short, after she basically told me that she would not honor the refill, i was very upset, letting her know that my patient chart was at their facility so any of the questions that she asked me, could have been answered with simply reviewing my chart. I paid a $ 45 co pay, to hear that she was not going to refill my Rx. WELL, she finally agreed to refill my Rx, but jumped up out of her chair so abruptly, as if she was upset that i had an issue with her declining to refill it, which was of course, my entire reason for being there ONLY. I made that clear when i scheduled the appointment AND after the suggestion from the office, that i needed to come in, before obtaining the refill. I did not wish to see a physician at this facility for my annual, which seemed to bother her in my opinion. Her rude demeanor when she finally decided to refill my Rx, was just appalling. I would never go back to this facility ever again and happy that i only scheduled a consult. She was very rude. Introduced herself coming in, but practically broke the door down exiting without the courtesy of saying thank you, you’re welcome, etc. NEVER again. This type of behavior in physicians, should not be tolerated. I did let the staff know, and they appeared very concerned and were very apologetic, as i was obviously angry and shaken up by Dr. Manasche’s «attitude.»

TL;DR: Dr. Scherm refused to see me without a urine sample after trying for close to 40 minutes. Seems to be lack of compassion/​bedside manner at office.
This review is for Dr. Scherm and her medical assistant. This was my first appointment with Women’s Specialty care in Summerlin (I used to go to the Spring Valley office). I was expecting a long wait because of my experience with Spring Valley, and so wasn’t surprised when that happened. However, once I was called back to see the doctor things got worse. I have what some might call a «shy bladder» and in the past when I’m unable to provide a urine sample after 5 – 10 minutes, other doctors have seen me for my exam and then gotten a sample after which isn’t hard because the pressure is off. This time, I tried to go for about 10 minutes and then went back to the room to see if we could do something else, but the medical assistant insisted that I try again and provide a sample because the doctor wouldn’t see me without it. She helpfully added I could «turn on the water» because yes, I’ve never tried that before. So I went back to the restroom and tried to go for another 30 minutes with no success and knowing I wouldn’t be able to go.
During this time, my husband and toddler son who had come to the appointment with me were being shuffled to different rooms. Finally I came back out and the medical assistant said we could wait in the waiting room or reschedule. There was no option to see the doctor and then get a sample after. I understand that doctors have procedures in place for a reason, but I was already at the end of my first trimester and had been rescheduled after my first appt with a different provider in the same group because of a delivery. The only appt available within 3 weeks in the entire medical group was with Dr. Scherm and then she refused to see me.
There was a serious lack of compassion, respect, and understanding there– I’m not sure if it was truly the doctor’s fault or the medical assistant but either way this is not an office with a culture of compassionate care. I left the appointment (after being there close to 2 hours total) and immediately found a different doctor with a different practice.

My initial appointment with Dr. LaVergne was fine. The doctor was friendly and the quality of care was standard. My 1-​star review is for the incompetent office staff and management; i would give 0 stars if I could.
When scheduling my follow-​up appointment (to receive my test results), I specifically asked if the date they were scheduling me for was enough time for lab results to be back. The check-​out lady assured me that 1 week was sufficient and that I would be notified if not. So I came to my follow-​up appointment to which the doctor was 20 minutes late. She was in the room for a total of 3 minutes to tell me everything was fine. I was perplexed as to why I needed a follow up appointment at all, but paid my co-​pay and left.
TWO DAYS LATER, I receive a call from the medical assistant that the rest of my results are in and that I must come in to receive the results. I told her I had just been there and asked why my follow up wasn’t rescheduled farther out so that I could have received all the results at once. The medical assistant stated «Well, we have a lot of patients so we can’t follow up on everyone.» She also stated that «The check out staff don’t really know anything» which was hardly reassuring. Furthermore, she refused to just give me the results over the phone.
So basically, this office is holding my test results hostage and having me come to TWO follow ups when one would have sufficed. Double the copays, double the time I have to take off work. Genius, really; they make double the profit off me.
I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism and such utter chaos at a doctor’s office before. I was promised a call from the office manager «if she had time,» which, of course, never materialized.
A tip for the staff at this Summerlin office– you are going to run yourselves like a business, please try to be at least a little competent in how you treat your customers (because that’s what we are, customers, not patients, right?). I will never return to this location again.

SUMMERLIN OFFICE — The worst place to go to. Please don’t waste your time. Scheduling staff is extremely inadequate and they have no respect for your time and schedule. I was given the wrong appointment time by the phone scheduler and when I showed up at the time I was told, they were not willing to accommodate me or fess up to give me the name of the phone scheduler, so I could lodge a formal complaint spotlighting the person’s inability to proper perform the job. This place is a massive disappointment! Especially if they get something simple right like basic scheduling. I am majorly disgusted with this group.

I was unhappy with Dr Kelley. He never introduced himself and wasn’t pleasant. I felt defensive immediately when there was not reason to. First thing he said was, «Why are you here?» in a manor like I had no business being there. I miss Dr Garg, Dr King and Dr Ivie. One concern I had was dismissed and he didn’t find it to be a postpartum problem. I will find another OB.

This is my second time here at this office and I can’t complain. I’ve only had my ultrasounds here as my primary dr is at a different location. But the ultrasound techs are so extremely friendly as well as the front desk staff!

This is the second visit I’ve had at Women’s Specialty Care.
Cons: Having to wait over an hour past my appointment time to be seen.
Granted, they were pretty efficient, but still… when I schedule two hours off work, I don’t like to only have 30 minutes to get all the way across town… especially when the actual appointment was only 5 minutes long.
Not being able to have a same day ultrasound done.
I’ve been having pain for a long time, and finally made the connection that it might be something to do with my cycle and my ovaries, and I have to go to another provider for an ultrasound… another day off work, another copay… why can’t they just do it in the office?
Pros:
The front desk staff was very patient, and very kind.
The nurse practitioner that I saw, April Lavergne (I may have spelled her last name wrong) is patient, and very nice. When I saw her last year for my annual, she was as gentle as possible, too, which is always important to me.
As far as doctor’s offices go, this one is A-​Ok. I’d prefer if they could stick closer to their appointment times, but only because its so hard to get time off for appointments.

I waited for over two hours to be seen by the rudest obgyn I have ever met. I went in complaining about being nauseous every day and in mass amounts of pain. Put in a complaint at the desk and requested to go see a different doctor. you can message me and I will give you the name. The manager called me to the back to talk to me about the situation and made me feel a lot more comfortable.
