Wendy Vaughn, a Las Vegas native of 35 years, started shooting portraits at the young age of seventeen. She loves her work more than words can express and making long lasting memories for people has become a strong passion for her! She started out with a Pentax K1000 camera and a dark room. To keep up with the demands of what is needed to be a professional, she has worked her way up through film to digital learning every aspect. In this saturated market of photographers in Las Vegas, she stands apart from the rest with her upbeat personality and willingness to go above and beyond for her customers.

About the photographer…

My name is Wendy Vaughn and I am the owner and operator of Vegas Vaughn Photography.

I started out shooting as a senior in high school but didn’t really get into it too much until after I had my first son. I started with a Pentax K1000. I was a mom at nearly 18 and after I saw that beautiful face, I never put the camera down again. He is almost 18 now himself. I waitressed all through my twenties and got a Nikon D50 as my first digital camera. I took a small class at the Community College of Southern Nevada but never even finished it because I felt so overwhelmed with working nights, being a single mom and with school.

Everything I have learned, I’ve learned on my own with lots of trial and error, books, and the internet. Although I will come to you to shoot indoors, I absolutely prefer natural light, especially for kids.
