The Range 702

This range has to be the best in Vegas, from the way it’s set up, the inventory and the friendly staff. I was greeted by Gabe and explained what I was looking for in my first pistol. Unfortunately I only had time to shoot one because of other errands I had to run. But he did not disappoint with his recommendation. I can’t wait until my day off so I can shoot some of his other recommendations, and check out the rest of what this place has to offer. I believe I saw a VIP room and from what I saw it looks like an awesome spot for my next company get together!

Visiting from Texas and had to see what the Vegas range was like! AJ was our range officer and he made it a blast and was very helpful and informative! The package info was explained great and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

Went in for the CCW course (1÷19÷16). The course instructor Stephen McMinn did a really good job of keeping it relaxed, informative, and easy going for the entire 8 hours. No doubt it’s a long day of class time. But it really flew by.
The new facilities are GREAT! The showroom floor was well organized and laid out. The range it’s self was clean and VERY organized.
I would defiantly recommend the Range and the CCW course to any one looking.

Great place to go shoot some rounds off and enjoy a nice few hours. Very smart staff very helpfull espicially James T. And Kayla go see them, even if you dont gave a gun great rental prices

This was my first time at the new Range 702 location since getting my CCW with them. I had been impressed with the original, and was pleased to see that the same standards are maintained at the new location. Namely Safety, which is the most important thing at a range, and Service, the next most important thing to me as a consumer.
As a reference point, I have refused to go back to ranges that were sloppy on safety. I take it seriously, especially when you have mixes of novices and experienced shooters. The lanes are «double doored» as you expect for noise, but the primary door is locked and must be opened by a safety officer. The safety officer on duty is walking discreetly behind the lanes, and I thought they were all doing a good job of watching.
The entire staff was good, but the real star on this trip was Layla. I noted her name, she was that good. This particular trip was to let my friend try a few different frame sizes to see what she felt best with before making a purchase. Layla was extremely helpful, showing several models, patiently, and introducing my friend to the different features.
All the general stuff is what you expect for a range catering to Vegas tourists. Overall great. Clean store area. Lane equipment in good shape with very good positive ventilation. Rental guns were in good condition, which impressed me, as I have never used a rental pistol before, and for the price, probably worth it to not clean my own pistols later. We got locals pricing, but I expect the pricing is good for everyone.

I gave a 2 star review at their old location and now a 4 star review. The Range 702 stepped up their game. Been in there twice since they moved and the staff is super friendly now.
This location is a lot smaller than the old location. Gone is the snack bar (which I never used anyway) and the retail store is smaller too.
Range fees for locals are still $ 20 but they now offer half price fees on Wednesday and free range passes if you go with a lady on Tuesdays.
The HVAC system is now top notch and solely for this reason alone, I would be returning.
Gun prices in the retail store are average and they tend to stock a lot of Glocks, Smith & Wessons, and well as Sig Saur’s.

it would be nice if you offered one free target with the purchase of a range fee. Green Valley Range offerers free targets as well as free snacks. Something for you to consider.

I heard of this class by radio and I think it’s a great intro to firearms or supplemental formal info to someone who has shot before.
I am not new to firearms. My boyfriend has carried CCW for 7 years now and competes IDPA. He has been my teacher (and I’m glad to know that he covered fundamentals well) but I wanted to «empty my cup» and take a formal class. This was the best opportunity — and it was FREE.
I’ve shot rifles, shotgun, and semiauto 9 mm, .45acp, and .40S&W. But I’ve never shot a revolver. Holding one, loading, unloading it were all new to me. I could take apart 9 mm pistols… I was not familiar with a .22 pistol which slide doesn’t «slide» traditionally or a magazine that has a lever for reloading. My point is that there is always something to learn. This class is hands on so you get a feel for both and pick your preference. You learn safety handling for both types in class and while on the range, storage, parts of the gun, ammunition, stance, gripping, trigger safety, sight alignment, and more. For someone absolutely foreign to guns, besides media coverage, it’s a lot of information, but it’s safety focused throughout. It covered topics efficiently and James T., the instructor, was personable and knowledgable. Funny guy.

Took the CCW class as a first time firearm owner. Very knowledgable staff who made me feel completely comfortable. All questions were answered and I never felt stupid for asking anything. Courteous, professional and committed to providing a stellar experience. Locals need to check this place out as they have tons of deals for you.

My friend and I came here to take a break from the CES convention. I admit, I was a bit intimidated about entering a place like this, but to my surprise it was very warm and friendly from the beginning to the end. Honestly the service really stood out for me when I was there not to knock the shooting range itself, but it was great service whether you were a beginner or experienced or a different political party.
The range was very clean and organized. Our instructors gave us proper eye and ear protection, while showing us verbally, while gesturing how to handle the glock that we hand rented for that day. As we entered the area where the range was, the sound of gun shots was pretty loud even with ear goggles on. The AC was blaring which was a bit cold, but the adrenaline of being in that area definitely got the blood pumping. Our instructor always double/​triple checked that the weapon was unloaded at every opportunity. After further instruction, my friend went first and shot. MAN, that first shot was LOUD. I could feel the sound waves passing through my body… however we were told due to the confined space, the shot sounds louder indoors than outdoors… makes sense. My turn, I shot the targets and even shot the head a couple times, but even though I was on target, I was shooting up and to the left slightly. The bullets went by fast and each clip we shot was twice the length of a standard clip on that type of gun. I swear we must’ve been shooting for 2 min and done.
It would’ve been cool if we could’ve done something longer, but just shooting a glock was pretty cool. We ended up taking pics of us with our targets and returned our gear and left with smiles from the staff.
Will definitely come out here again and try a… MP5?

Went here a while back with my cousin and shot some different guns. We had help from Jeff Obrien. Who is now a gun smith. But I highly recommend coming here to shoot. Very clean. And very helpful and friendly. I learned a lot when I was there. He was a great instructor for sure. Can’t wait to go again!

Been here a few times before and was helped several times by James T, he is great. He was funny and very informative about the guns. The service is always good and the workers are always helpful. The new place is nice and clean, we will continue coming here to shoot.

Went The Range 702 because they offered a CCW class and others stated it was a good class with a nice reviews. I signed up online through the range 702 web site, it has a calendar of the classes offered and pay options as well. Descriptions was mostly accurate but was missing a couple of KEY Details, such as bring or wear a belt, holster recommended, and $ 10 range fee, cash; otherwise, everything else was okay, but the Class was way better than explained.
First off its taught by two excellent instructors, Sarge and Stephanie. They both take turns going over the formalities and lecture part of the class which makes it nice to have two different views, experiences, and options for understanding.
The class room is located inside The Range 702 and has a camera eye-​in-​the-​sky so all personal belongings are safe as well as the door is constantly on lock during the short breaks. Since the Range is open to the public during the class, there are times when someone rents a Sub-​Machine Gun and it can be heard even from the firing range, but its no big deal, just saying.
Since this is an 8 hour class, there is a lunch time break, but I advise on bringing some snacks, and water, or like I did, I packed two full lunches and drinks.
After lunch we headed out to the range where all safety hearing and eye protection must be worn. Once on the range we were guided and practiced various holster draws several times and magazine changing without ammo. Then instructed to load ammo, get targets (which are part of the course) and then we were off and shooting. Sarge gave very clear and easy instructions on when to shoot, holster and change magazines. Shooting was performed INSIDE the actual range and not behind the shooting counters. We were taught, shooting from the hip, strong arm shooting, and shooting while walking backwards from target while changing magazines!
It was certainly a great experience and more practical than just shooting from the counter. After we returned to class room and went over last information and completing the application for the CCW license.
I would certainly recommend this CCW course and visiting The Range 702. After class, I went back to the range to shoot. It takes a little time to get checked in and cleared to shoot on the range so be patient. Range fee is $ 20 if you go any time. The Range 702 also offers rental handguns and machine guns and purchasing of ammo. They are also a full dealer and sell many manufactures guns as well as accessories within the store.
Overall The Range 702 is good place in Las Vegas to shoot but again be patient as it can be busy from many tourists. The CCW class offered is certainly worth the money, time and experience. They also offer various other class so check there online schedule.

Total blast. If you’re doing a shooting experience ask for Steve. He’s way cool and made it a great shoot.

We took the CCW course with «SARGE» Costello… what a great guy he is! I am a former Marine and did a stent as an armorer & trainer… I actually learned some things! He and his staff were awesome! I plan on taking more courses with them.
As far as the facility… it was definitely state of the art. Very clean! The only one thing I would say… speaking from experience of course {as I built shooting ranges as well}…the trap system is too loud. I find that a rubber trap system is much lower in decibels for the percussion… other wise very nice facility. I was impressed.

First time at the new location. Location is definitely smaller, but it was still spacious. I noticed there were less lanes than the previous location, maybe I’m wrong though.
I was greeting at the front door, and told to go to the retail desk to get a lane since I brought my own gun. I purchased two targets for $ 1 each. At the previous location they had a rack where you would just go up and grab them from — for free. Now the options are limited and the staff hands you them. Not a big deal, but I also noticed the range was noticeably louder than others I’ve been too.
Ughh I wish they were still at their old location. I’ll be back though.

Took a CWC course at this range. Sarge was the instructor… Stephanie taught part of the class as well. They teach you so much more than the other ranges they teach you how to shoot from the hip, how to shoot with left hand only, how to shoot backing up.
Really awesome course… My boyfriend went to at one of the other ranges and they just taught them pick up the gun, fire, put gun back down and then it was all classroom.

Use to go to the old location because I knew I could always get a lane when American Shooters didn’t have any avail (Am Shooters closer to home) and discovered that they recently moved further south to a new location. The new location is nice, smaller than the other but no complaints. No problems with the staff or attitudes you normally see at a gun range. The place is clean and well lit.
I deducted one star for several small reasons that somewhat add up. First reason, the lanes are by far the loudest noise that I’ve ever heard in a range. Possibly because the lanes are surrounded by Cinder Block walls which are pretty close on each side. Normally my ear plugs are sufficient but I would have also needed fully enclosed ear protection to be more comfortable. There was only one other shooter with me and my ears were ringing as I walked out to my car. Second, there were not benches or tables behind the shooting booth for your guests or to set targets on. My guess is that too many idiots cant follow typical range rules on loading mags at the shooting lane and NOT at the booths behind.
Third, not the best target selection. B27 targets background was black which is normally used outdoors so you can see where your rounds went. Difficult to see the holes on an indoor range. Finally, last reason is that there are no brooms to sweep your brass out of the way like other ranges. You have to wait for the range master to come in and sweep it.
Would I come back? Yep. I do really enjoy this place when I have extra time to travel to it.

We went to blow off some steam. The gentleman behind the desk was funny while letting you know his rules and you knew the rules had no bend. I appreciate that when shooting a firearm. I just purchased a new gun with a different grip then I’m used to they guy inside the room with us actually stopped what he was doing to come over and help me reposition my hand so I wouldn’t catch the top of my knuckle on my thumb again.
Easy atmosphere, attendants were nice, will definitely go back!

Very nice facility! The staff is very helpful and they have a wide selection of weapons to choose from. If you’re a local, check their website for their daily local specials. I went on a Wednesday and got 50% off lane rental.

We had a really good experience, would’ve been 5* except we had a really long wait — it was lunchtime on a holiday but still 1hr35 for 30 mins shooting wasn’t great. Hayley our instructor was really really good though — super safe, really helpful and very knowledgable about what we were doing. I’m sure usually a 5 star experience — we were unlucky. Thanks for a great time.
