The OB-Gyn Center

Coming from Austin, TX, I was expecting the level of care I received from the Drs there, here.
My story is long. It’s painful. It’s disappointing. I will refrain from sharing my entire story on this site. I will only say that my experience here was mediocre, nonchalant and less then average. I will never return. I am sad that I had my baby delivered by Dr. Luh. I am sad that I chose this office. I will never recommend this office to anyone that I know.

No stars for them. I was denied an appointment because they don’t work with my insurance and at the same time they wouldn’t let me pay cash for it.
This is ridiculous! I’ve never heard of anything like this before.
Cecilia just doesn’t know how to talk to clients over the phone, her informal attitude with calling me «Hun» is not acceptable.

Dr. Luh is the shit! He delivered both my babies and was very accommodating to my wife’s needs. He is very informative and is quite funny. He reminds me of the guy from the hangover who I hear is also a OBGYN.
I took one star out cuz the office team is not the best. Usually the two front desk girls are very nice and polite but the ones in the back on your way out are not that professional.

So frustrating! I decided to book with Dr. Gondy after reading strong reviews. I called back in MARCH to make the appointment for JULY as that was the earliest available appointment. Then a week before my appointment for 7.8.15 I get a call saying that Dr. Gondy is not going to be in the office the day of my visit and that I will need to reschedule. While annoyed I was willing to reschedule, until I was told the next available appointment would be SEPTEMBER 16^th. I’m sorry, but that is just ridiculous and while Dr. Gondy might have good reviews I will now be looking for another obgyn and who is to say the soonest available appointment I will be able to find at this point.

Fantastic visit! I know, not something you usually say about an annual checkup. Needless to say, I wish I had found this center sooner.
Scheduling and checkin were a breeze (a great staff helps). New patients fill out their paperwork on an iPad, so everything is instantly digitized and filed appropriately. The waiting room was packed, but the wait itself was minimal — the staff move people through quickly. Dr. Luh was incredibly kind and efficient. He has a calm demeanor, which helps when asking questions or talking through current health. I can see why so many women prefer to see him.

I usually have a great experience with this office and I really like Dr Michaels. Recently I needed to get a thorough check up that required blood tests and ultrasounds so I agreed to see Dr. Gondi and it has and continues to be a horrible experience. My first two appointments have both been rescheduled. The first one, I was notified two days before and rescheduled for over a week later and the second I was called 2 hours before my appointment time! I was so angry. All I needed was an ultrasound performed not even an exam! This is so frustrating because myself and my boyfriend both had taken time off of work for each day! I understand that things come up, but you’re going to tell me you only have one employee who is capable of performing an ultrasound !?! And can’t get me in till again over a week from now?

Love this place Dr Luh saved my life, he is the greatest. I ony see him now, he is so nice, saved me

Love love love Dr. Luh. He delivered all of my childen, he’s a great doctor he’s very informative, he made me feel more like family, than a patient. Plus, I’ve heard incredible things about the other 2 doctors as well, from multiple sources. However, the office staff is a joke, a few of them are very nice. But some of them look like they should quit & not work with the general public. Scheduling appointments, they want you to use the online site, but if they actually reply it takes weeks. I call & leave messages never get any calls back. It makes me angry, that I can’t get to my amazing OBGYN because of the office staff.

Staff in the front office is unbelievably rude. I honestly think they need to check their reviews on Unilocal and solve this issues because it’s not just me going through it obviously.
I just got hung up on today by a RUDE staff. I called 2 times in a row on Tuesday March 17, getting answered but put on hold for the longest was 15 minutes. I gave up and decided I’d call later hoping someone would answer in the #2 department line for apt needs. I was concerned with a billing issue. Long story short, the first day I came in the desk lady failed to tell me I have to pay off $ 1000 within 24 weeks of pregnacy. I was able to pay $ 50 first visit not being informed I cannot make minimum payments like 50 again and that I would have to start paying 190. Even my fiancé was with me and listened to everything. She failed to tell me I’d be paying 190 for the next 5 Vists. Who has damn near 200 $ everytime to see a doctor? I called a day before my second apt asking if I was going to be able to pay 50 $ again or am I paying 190. She explained I’d be paying 190. Then I told her I was not able to make a payment until the 22. She further cut me off explained it again and then informed me that we have to pay off the 1000 within 24 weeks. After she repeated her self I told her were on two different pages because I understand. But I just told her I cannot make a payment tomorrow could I just resedchuel it. She further procided to accusing me of having a short fuse after the fact I just asked her if I was able to just resedchuel! That’s all I wanted! And had enough nerve to say I have a short fuse. I had no attitude at all I just wanted to resecduel and she kept repeating herself and me stopping her saying I understand but I cannot pay tomorrow so resecduel me is being short fused? Obviously you don’t want my business if you can’t even let your customers finishes a damn thing they say! Do not go here you will just end up being Un happy!

I was referred to Dr. Luh by my NP, so off I went. The office is right off of Smoke Ranch in a little center. Upon arrival you sign in if there is a patient already at the window… this is a little inconvenient because the sign in sheet is usually under said patients arm. If you are new here, like I was, then you’re kinda left in the dark because you don’t know if you’re supposed to go sit down or if the other window has a sign in sheet. I ended up waiting for the patient to finish then sign in. I advised the receptionist I had an appointment and she gave me a dirty look and told me to have a seat. a few minutes later she called me up and gave me the registration tablet (computerized, no more papers!) and I got to it.
Once I was done, I was called up fairly quickly, taken to triage and then back to my exam room. The rooms are older and roomy but nothing fancy. The MA came in and was super nice and helpful then Doc came in and did what he had to do. Doc was a very nice person who made sure I understood everything… the plus is that his hands were warm!

Dr luh Henry is awesome. He is an amazing doctor during my 2^nd pregnancy/​c section. I absolutely love dr luh

If I could give it no stars I would. I had scheduled an appointment for my pregnancy on Monday, and we had a miscarriage Friday, so I called to see what they wanted me to do and they wanted me to come in for an appointment for an ultrasound and when I got there before my appointment, they wouldn’t even see me because they couldn’t get a hold of my insurance because they had closed already and were telling me to go to the ER. They do not care about you and or your health or unborn child, so I definitely recommend going elsewhere. Terrible terrible service. I don’t think I have had such terrible service in my entire life with an OB-​GYN.

I highly recommend Dr. Henry Luh as an OB-​GYN. I’m full of anxiety and he was patient enough to educate me, answer my (neurotic) questions, and provide stellar medical care. My healthy baby boy and I thank him. He’s also pretty funny in my opinion. I’m so glad he was my Dr.
I actually like the staff at OB-​Gyn Center despite all the negative reviews I read on here. The only difficulty I encountered at first is when you call the phone number, you the majority of the time you don’t talk to a live body. It’s hard to talk to a live body when you call the number. But I promise you if you leave a message they call you back shortly! I was frustrated the first time but I got used to the process… and their process works just fine.

The women who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional. I am a cash patient was in need of an appointment first off I asked if they where accepting new patients, she spoke so fast I could not understand her… Then she tells me she can barely here me and that I must be on a cell phone with a tone that was just rude! So I politely apologized to her and move to another location… She then says well I can here you a little better, she then asks me if I have insurance I told her that I do not and then asked how much it would be for an appointment. She put me on hold with out telling me she was doing so and kept picking up asking me if I was being helped??? Who does that??? I kept saying I think so? She then comes back on the phone 5 mins later and says ohhh your holding for the cash question right? Yes! She then told me it would be $ 2600 for the first visit and I would have to bring $ 1000 WTH I hung up on her… She treated me as if I was a horrible person because I pay cash for my appointments my job doesn’t offer health benefits and I can not afford them on my own nor can I get state assistance because I make to much? Catch 22 for me but I am healthy and haven’t been bothered by this before today this was such a terrible experience that I had to write this review I would not recommend calling this place let alone give then my cash. I do hope that they send that women to some type of training or that they hire someone else because she will drive your business away regardless if they are cash patients or insured…

I absolutely love Dr. Michaels. Sometimes there is a wait but it is well worth it. She is great, answered all my questions and truly offers the best medical attention. I went to Women’s Speciality Care for a year a literally came running back once I saw they were on my new insurance. I will NEVER go anywhere else again.

I adore Dr. Gondy. I am a new patient, but have been there several times in the past month. doing preliminary testing for (hopefully) a uterine ablation. Her wait time is so so… but what do you expect from an OB office. The ladies behind the desk are pretty nice… definitely business-​like. Not super friendly, but that’s OK. It is a well-​oiled machine for sure.
Dr. Gondy is the real treat. I sincerely mean that. She is thorough, personable, and professional. I have lived in Las Vegas for 10 years now and have only been in for an «annual» twice in that 10 years. The providers I have tried have been impersonal and almost rude. She is the opposite. I will look forward to seeing her every year.
One more thing… the ladies in the back who work with Dr. Gondy are fantastic… lots nicer than her front desk staff. Not that the front desk is mean or rude… but the medical assistants are exceptional.

Never been happier with an OBGYN! Dr. Luh is amazing, very smart and always takes as much time as you need to listen and figure out what the issues are. It is hard to find good doctors in this town. They are usually on time as far as appointments go and the staff is very nice and will always squeeze you in if you are in need.

I was referred here by my cousin who ranted and raved about how amazing Dr. Gondi is. I reviewed her credetials and bio, I was impressed and she sounded exactly what I’ve been looking for:
That’s who I tried to get in to see, however, since she’s so awesome she’s booked waaaaaaaaaaay far into the distant galaxy. I settled for Dr. MIchaels, I figured that since she was in the same office that she must be awesome too. Well, my experience was sub-​par. She talked sooooooooooooooo flippin’ fast, English is my first language, I’m not slow & I consider myself above average intelligence in regard to the human anatomy and lady parts. I was boggled by what the eff she was saying to me. I couldn’t understand her, not because she spoke another langauge, but because she rattled off letters and sounds I asked her on mulitple occasions to repeat herself, she did and I still left feeling confused. I did my own research and now I understand, but seriously dude, really?
The check-​in nurse told me she didn’t have any other appointments for the day and this chick still made me wait 45 minutes.
I will DEFINITELY WAIT to see Dr. Gondi next time and make my yearly appointment a year in advance.

I just delivered my 2^nd son with the help of Dr. Michaels at the OB-​Gyn Center a few weeks ago and I was there today for my follow up appointment. I can’t recommend them enough. When I’m in the office for appointments the staff is great — they seem to actually care about my time and even though they can’t avoid all delays, when they do happen they deal with them well.
Every appointment I’ve had there — and as a pregnant woman there were a lot — was enjoyable and almost all of them were quick.
Dr. Michaels is an amazing doctor: knowledgable, straightforward and direct. She took great care of me and my baby.
If you’re looking for a new OB in the area, definitely give them a try.
