I was a little skeptical because of all the reviews but just like another reviewer I decided to take a chance. I’m so glad I did. I have no problem with it being next to a rehab. There’s also a bank in the area as well so that doesn’t mean much to me. I only had one problem. I was scheduled to have my mani/pedi with BeBe at 12pm. She accidentally got double booked and my time would have to be pushed to 1pm. I was 10 minutes late so I just went to the bank and finished up something and came back. I am so glad I did. BeBe was absolutely fabulous! I used the Groupon for $ 28 and the reg price was $ 50. My nails had taken a beating from previous acrylic nails and boy could you tell. But BeBe did a great job with my nails and my feet. I felt there feeling like I had got pampered and that I meet a good friend. I would definitely say go get your feet and nails done by BeBe.

I was offered by Nicole @ T.H. E salon, to come in and have my services redone, I considered giving these guys a second chance — but no one will return my call, or make good on their offer to have A Gel Mani /Pedi Redone. Which leaves me confused — why would they(Nicole) message me & offer it to me if they didn’t want me to give this place a 2nd chance!

I unfortunately can’t tell you about the service. The lack of professionalism and communication is astounding. I have been rescheduled twice then when I show up for my appointment the salon is open and no one is there! No receptionist not a soul! They need to be careful about leaving this place completely unattended. I would not recommend nor will I ever be back

I came here yesterday for a regular mani and spa pedi. The groupon was $ 28 reg price $ 50. The venue is kind of hidden so make sure you don’t drive by. There is a rehab place and Music 4Life on the same building. There is a cozy feel about the inside. There is a waiting area, the manicure & hair cut is in another room and the pedicure section is in another area. My nail tech Janice is efficient and friendly. I forget how great it is to get some hand massage and foot massage as she does the mani/pedi. She does gel polish as well but not acrylic. She told me if I come back, it would be $ 35 which is a great price. Look for her when you decide to try this place.

So after buying the groupon, I saw many negative reviews about this ‘rehab’ place. I wasn’t paying much attention on the rehab part though. And today afternoon was the time my appointment scheduled so it’s been more than a month since I looked at the rehab reviews. It’s true that the location wasn’t easy to be found, but I was impressed by the nail technician(Mandy). She was professional and very patient to my requests. Eventually we’d talked about the rehab part. I was even more impressed by the ‘rehab place founder”s passion. The whole facility, including the nail/hair salon, coffee shop, gym, etc, are helping people who have gone through the rehab process(so you won’t see any rehab ‘resident’ to be there, and, come on, they are humans, too!). They could be the technicians or the trainer, or they are simply the customers who want to go back and show appreciation to the facility. I never write review on Unilocal or any places, but I feel the need to clarify this to people who fear about anything relates to ‘rehab’ ;)

This was typed on my phone on November 12, 2014… But I just found it and figured I should spare someone else; So I walk into t.h.e. Salon(which took 20 minutes to find thanks to the rehab reigning supreme on the signage) park like you’re going to the bank of the west and just walk around… Tip* I, like most of the other naieve souls around the review boards bought the groupon/amazon deal. So… That was a good idea until I realized that the shop and everyone in and around it smell like cigarette smoke. I sat in a shoddy chair just like everyone else. At least the soak smelled pleasant. But the chair turned on and off every 20 minutes… This is when I realized the assistant, receptionist… was going to be my nail technician. Hooray for me! Greeted by a confused smile as to where my real tech must’ve gone I sat down. No nail colors were offered… I then after listening to the booming tunes of Sarah brightman blaring from the set of speakers near The Lord of the rings waterfall they also had in the suite«or so they lead guests to believe» I asked, since I don’t want Gel on my feet and my husband and I are going on our honeymoon for a Disney resort tomorrow can you do a design on my nails instead? You know… Like a Mickey Mouse head? She responds… «No…I used to do nails at the four seasons I don’t do nail art, people never asked for it. I have work in an art gallery in California… I do real art if that counts» While that was helpful… It didn’t help the customer wrap her head around the fact she dropped 40 $ and asked for 3 black polka dots on her nails and was told no. Was given Walmart lotion and a holy towel to pamper my toes with ungloved hands… And while I genuinely wanted a Disney manicure for this trip, I didn’t want to contract any illnesses for beauty that I wasn’t even offered. I pray to God that I don’t end up with anything. She grabbed my toes like a gorilla opens a banana and she handled my hands like captain crunch mangles your mouth. I found this as an old note in my phone… So this review does get better at this point. About two months after my beyond horrible experience the owner or someone who manages THE salon contacted me via text and asked me if I wanted to come back… For a refund I was hoping but I explained my frustration and my beyond horrible experience(I hope that nail tech doesn’t work there anymore and if you do, I’d like you to know I went to the four seasons about 3 months ago and they put polka dots on my toes) Anywho, to make good on my first experience she promised if I booked an appointment I would get a free gel manicure to make up for the bad time and I sat in a woman’s chair who was AMAZING put pink and glitter sparkles all over my hands, had sweet hospitality skills, we chatted about her kids and for the life of me I wish I remembered her name because I would go back to her if it wasn’t out of my way. She got a fat tip to match her amazing nail job. But as for the rest of the salon, be aware. If you don’t get the thin brunette with the two kids and I believe her son is about middle school aged? You may be doomed.

I was looking for a gel mani/pedi deal in groupon but most salons through them were booked. I was lucky enough when I called T.H.E. Salon and they were able to squeeze me in the following day. The salon it self is right next to a rehab place, and I found that that kinda weird. I was booked with Janice but when I got there she told me she didn’t do nail art so I was transferred over to Mandy. I liked the fact that Janice was honest and preferred to send me over to someone who was better qualified to provide me with better service rather than taking. Mandy was wonderful! She was able to copy the design that I wanted and also advised me on how to make it better. She’s very friendly and upbeat. On top of that, the price is superb! $ 70 for gel mani and pedi with nail art. Just don’t come on Mondays because they provide service to the rehab patients.

Made an appointment yesterday. No one was there for it today. Waited 10 minutes without being acknowledged. Had to walk around to find someone to talk to. Place was being remodeled and was cluttered and dirty looking. No thanks!

Maria was the most amazing, caring, sweetest woman who did an amazing mani/pedi. She really does it with her heart and cares. She doesn’t rush through clients like I’ve seen others do. She gives such relaxing hand and leg massages too! Highly recommend Maria if you go!!! She is the best!

Bought the groupon while I was in cast, for the anticipation of luxury I missed the whole time. Finally got to cash in today, now that the cast is gone and physical therapy is almost up, and I can move my damn thumb without pain. Venue: I’ll say the location is strange; I almost drove past it. Also, it shares a building and hallways with some sort of meeting space. The waiting and servicing chairs are really comfy. It’s small in the main area, and a lot of mirrors and a big flatscreen for your viewing pleasure; today I caught Samantha Brown in HI again… miss watching her, but I digress. The pedicure chairs are in another area, a little more secluded, which I appreciate; I can get self conscious of people watching me get my legs massaged and toes clipped. Value: The price with/without the groupon is great, better than anywhere I’ve been so far, so that was exciting. I was thrilled it included a spa pedi; needed that scrub: D Color selection could step up a little, but I had no trouble selecting one. I didn’t get anything fancy, like French tips or anything, so I can’t comment on that. Tech: Oh, so my nail tech Janice is awesome. I often struggle with trying to talk with nail techs for a few reasons: I don’t care for small talk ATALL, I do like to hear about their lives, and I can’t stand most pop culture. Janice and I just seemed to click. With her beautiful Scottish accent, we talked about life, our art scene in town, etc. I made a new friend: D Outcome: She did pre-warn that the color I chose was about to die, but we tried it anyway, and it’s beautiful. The length and symmetry of my toes and nails are perfect. The paint job is gorgeous. It appears I got knicked, but I must not have felt it, because I didn’t see it until way later. Whatever, doesn’t ruin my day, lol they look a hell of a lot better than when I first came in! The TL;DR(too long, didn’t read) version: I’d definitely be back, mostly for the price, Janice, and open SATURDAYS!

Update: it’s been about a week and not one nail has chipped! Pedicure is still perfect and nails are not chipping, lifting, etc.

After the reviews, I was a little nervous. I thought the service was great. I walked in and was immediately sat down and felt welcomed. I didnt really pay attention to the color selection because i saw what i wanted almost immediately. Maria was my tech. She was great. Very personable and great at what she does. We laughed and talked during the mani. She let me relax during the pedi. One of the nicer mani and pedis I’ve had. I will def be back to see Maria.

1. Waited 1 hour before my «scheduled» appointment began. While I waited, no offering of a drink, or explanation or apology… 2. Technician took smoke breaks«during» my treatment. My massage time was sacrificed it seemed. One leg was done, not the other. 3. She cut my toe… lots of blood. Used bloody water to wash my legs after scrub. 4. Lady was being almost confrontational. Seemed to want to hurt me. Guess because I’m a guy, so it was fun for her to watch me squirm. 5. Bizarre use of their lobby, sharing it with another business, creating a very distracting environment with people walking in and out who were there for AN meetings. Yes… the customers in this business are comprised of 50% recovering addicts and 50% people getting beauty treatments. Now is the part where I feel compelled to apologize and make excuses for myself of why that shouldn’t be an issue and this is where you agree, but still… I have to say, I don’t like writing a negative review, BUT this was so bad. My hope is that the owner learns and tries to fix what’s going on.

Had an awesome experience here. I bought a groupon for a gel manicure & pedicure and it turned out great and for the price of the groupon I was extremely happy! Janice & Nicole were so nice. I will be going back to THE Salon again for sure!

The other day someone from THE Salon texted and inquired if I would like to schedule another mani-pedi. I declined, letting the person know that I was not happy with my previous experience. They texted again, apologizing and asking who my nail technician was. I did not tell them, because as stated in my original review, she was a very nice woman who was distracted by running the shop alone. The person then offered me a free mani-pedi. I declined again because I am still very unhappy, plus I remembered the poor selection of gel colors. I hope the owners read the posts here on Unilocal to help them improve.

So I bought the groupon for gel mani-pedi. It was a steal as for 40 bucks you get both mani-pedi. First of all it’s pretty hard to get appointment for the group. I had to wait for a week to get the appointment. On the day of my appointment I was running late and they were pretty nice about rescheduling me to a later time. I have to say my nail stylist did give me a lot of attention. I am super happy with my pedicure. I got red glittery polish which looks very cute. I got French manicure but it’s not the best work I have seen. The lines are a little uneven. There are also not a lot of colors to choose from for hands. Also the salon itself is not very stylish. Lot of chairs are broken and you can see the place looks a little run down. All said and done, it’s still a steal for 40 dollars if you can see past the salon décor. I am going back again for my 2nd groupon.

I bought the groupon for my set of gels mani & pedi, it was $ 40 collectively! Everything was done in a timely manner. Cute and smaller salon! Make sure to make an appointment. Also make sure to leave a message if your call isn’t answered. My nail artist did not do acrylics but did a great job on my gels! I got exactly what I wanted!
