Sundance Helicopters

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and she got me a limo ride and a flight here at Sundance and I knew it was pricey, but most definitely worth the experience. She works in the aviation field and gets to fly often in helicopters, but even she enjoyed the view of all she said. I got window seat in the front and absolutely everything was breath taking. The dam and lake at a birds eye view was quite a sight. I’m glad I got to knock this off my bucket list and hope to fly again. I also want to mention our awesome pilot who was an amazing tour guide! I want to say his name was Kyle, but I’m not too sure. Whomever it was, great job! My wife and I spent some of our special day here and loved it.

Took the City lights tour with a limo ride. Had it planned out for my wife’s Birthday, called and begged to be up front with the Pilot numerous times. Of course they said they couldn’t guarantee it because of weight balancing and we ended up not being able to, was a little mad about that but what got me most mad was they said after the ride we can take pictures in front of the Helicopter as we seen some worker take a picture for a couple with their cellphone so I asked when we got off but they were full of excuses then they told me to ask some guy name Chris who was being rude. I asked politely if he could take a picture of us in front of a helicopter he said he couldn’t with our cellphone only with his camera but right now is a bad time but the Couple that gone right before us they were able to do so. These guys seem nice once you pay and get on but once your off the Ride they seem not to care, I will never fly Sundance again nor recommend it to friends and family. Other then that the Helicopter ride was quick and smooth.

My husband and I did the Grand Canyon Picnic Tour a few weeks ago. It was my first time in a helicopter, and my first time to the Grand Canyon. What an amazing experience! Our pilot, Erika, was fantastic! She was very sweet, and very friendly. The ride was beautiful, and very smooth. I had the vegetarian lunch and it was delicious! They take your photo before you get on the helicopter, and I never purchase these. Well, this was the exception! The photo was beautiful, and mounted on a lovely little plaque. I just had to have it! All in all, a fantastic experience, and I would recommend it to anyone! Don’t miss out on this! Perfection in every way!

There are no words to properly capture how you will feel during and after this trip. You must experience it for yourself. We have a memory we will never forget. Take lots of pictures and video and make sure your phone or camera is charged because you will take a ton of both

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about this experience. I was on hold a while to book but booked the same night as the flight and had no problems. The woman on the phone was super kind and helpful. We did the limo pickup with the night strip tour and it was amazing. Our pilot and was great and laughed a lot. They had music on the headphones while you weren’t talking, so it was fun to see the night lights and rock out to «Viva Las Vegas» at the same time. The limo service there was excellent and the gentleman behind the desk was great. It was worth every single penny and my husband and I just can’t stop talking about how fun our first helicopter ride was. Can’t wait to do it again. I highly recommend this company. On our next trip, we will do a longer tour.

What an awesome experience! Go big! My hubby upgraded for the limo pickup and luxury helicopter. It was a beautiful trip to the Grand Canyon. Chris, our pilot, got us there safely while being friendly and informative. A special acknowledgement to Troy who went out of his way to make my 40^th bday special! He comped a bottle of delicious champagne and a beautiful souvenir photo. Thanks Troy!

If I could rate my experience with Sundance Helicopters with 100 stars I would! It was perfect from start to finish from the limo that picked us up at the hotel, to the friendly staff in the lobby. Our pilot Elijah was awesome! Funny and attentive as we flew out to the Grand Canyon. When we landed he did admit we do not get a lot of time there, and gave us tips to maximize our time. They gave us a cute little lunch while we were there and I never felt rushed. Upon Returning to the airport, they had a nice gift shop where they had printed up pictures of us for purchase. Thank you guys for making this trip special for my husband and I! We will definitely be back, next time with our kids :)

I wish I had read some of the reviews before my friends and I booked the Twilight Tour. We did get picked up in a limo but there were people in the limo too. So it is not the same experience. We arrived at the airport and had to wait for almost 45 minutes before we even got into the helicopter. I have to say the ride was very smooth. The views spectacular! It was amazing. The view of the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead were beautiful. Unfortunately we did not see the sunset as stated in the brochure. It was really dusk. The other problem is that unless you sit in the front or behind the pilot you do not get a good view of the lights on the Vegas Strip. It would not have taken the pilot a lot of time to take another turn so the other side could enjoy the same view. I was disappointed that I had to lean over to try to get a glimpse. I could not get a photo of the view. I paid the same amount as everyone else ($ 237.00) but did not have the same opportunity because I sat on the far right. This also applied to my friend who sat in the middle. Once we landed the drivers were getting upset if you tried to leave to find your ride back and then they cramped as many people as they could into the limo which made for an uncomfortable ride! I certainly did not find this to be a luxury limo ride. Oh and the kicker — we never got our champagne! Bummer!

I wondered if this was worth it and I looked at a lot of companies before deciding with this one… It was not a disappointment! We did he champagne lunch helicopter tour and everything was fabulous! Priced accordingly and we got amazing photos on the canyon floor! Loved it highly recommend!

Awesome trip out to see the Grand Canyon!!! We loved this trip — Zeus was an awesome pilot, the helicopters were amazing and the landing spot was great. We had 6 in our chopper and the views were incredible from every spot. Flying back past the strip was awesome. We booked on Viator which was cheap upfront but we had to pay $ 50 each on arrival (not Sundance’s fault apparently — Viator’s business model) — still worked out cheapest, about $ 450 each. Defo worth the money — probably best thing we did in Vegas.

What a great experience. We did the morning tour of the Grand Canyon. You get picked up super early by a limo with other customers and driven to Sundance where you are assigned a pilot. I believe ours was Victor and he was awesome! I had never been in a Helicopter before and I could not believe how smooth take off and landing was.
We saw Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam, the Vegas Strip, but most importantly — the Grand Canyon, which is spectacular. The helicopter actually lands in the Canyon and the pilot sets up a quick breakfast or lunch while you take in the views. The ride there is about 45 minutes and you have about 30 minutes in the Canyon to get your pictures in and head back out.
It was an expensive experience but well worth it in my opinion.

We chose to do a helicopter ride the night of our wedding ceremony. The limo picked us up on time and we were off to our ride. Once there, it was a smooth process. The ride was amazing! I would recommend this to anyone. The view of the Las Vegas strip will be forever engraved in our minds. The pilot was nice and very informative. The only reason why this review is not five stars is because when you come in you have to leave your items with the customer service representative. I left my things with him and when I came back I did not have everything. A piece of my wedding cake was missing which I did not have a chance to try at the dinner. Sad that I didn’t get it back and was not able to try it so I wouldn’t recommend you bringing anything of value to have them hold behind the desk. But other than that, we enjoyed it!

I’m not going to go in and write a long blown out review. This was an amazing experience. Our pilot, Alex, did a great job. If you haven’t been, this is the way to see the Grand Canyon and Sundance Helicopters nailed the whole experience.

I booked Sundance’s the «all american» Grand Canyon landing tour. My partner and I wanted to visit the canyon, but knowing it would be over 100 degrees out we knew we wouldn’t last long outside. I read dozens of reviews on this tour (from multiple sites) and knew exactly what to expect. We didn’t book for the lunch or champagne — we booked for the opportunity to land in the canyon and experience aerial views of Lake Mead, Hoover dam and (of course) the Canyon. What my partner didn’t know, I was seeking the perfect proposal location.
I received a confirmation call the day before our booked tour. The woman on the phone let us know what time and where the limo would pick us up and enforced to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking around the rocky canyon floor. The limo was waiting for us, promptly at the scheduled time. We did share the 12 passenger Lincoln stretch with 8 other people. No complaints there and it was expected. Upon arrival to Sundance, we were checked in, weighed and given our «boarding pass» which was a name tag including your chopper number and pilot’s name. The facility is beautiful with a small gift shop, several waiting areas and Native American crafts.
Our pilot, Kyle, rounded up our group (6 travelers total). Brought us out to our helicopter where a picture is taken with you and your companion. Kyle then explained the seat belts, floatation packs and other safety essentials. Once loaded up he fired up the chopper and off we went. There was music in our headsets (a well chosen mix that does accompany each area you fly over) and prerecorded guide to provide history and info along the way. When we got to the Hoover Dam he positioned us on several angles to get pictures. Kyle also provided his own knowledge and pointed out other areas not included on the recording (a nice personal touch). Upon landing Kyle pointed out a good spot for pictures and exploring and let us know to be back at the covered tables for lunch in about 10 minutes. Our lunch was a sandwich, pasta salad, apples, water and champagne… sodas were also an option. We were given a few more minutes after for Kyle to pack up the picnic then instructed to meet at the helicopter for additional pictures. As Kyle was about to take pictures of my partner and I in front of the helicopter, I interrupted to grab the ring and take a knee… This was not prearranged with Sundance so I surprised him nearly as much as my partner. Kyle was awesome and took many photos of the moment and then posed us for more pictures. I think this delayed our time by a minute or two but he certainly didn’t mention it — THANK YOU! We loaded back in the helicopter (by now, super sweaty from the triple degree temps). On the way back we flew over Fremont and the Strip.
When we returned to Sundance, the photo we took before departure was printed and placed in a souvenir plaque… This was an optional purchase and of course we had to have it. We were then returned to our hotel by the same limo driver who picked us up.
We could not have asked for a better experience. My fiancé will even admit that even without the proposal, it was a perfect tour. Thank you Sundance and especially, thank you Kyle!

We did a tour of the Grand Canyon in February. Our pilot was Drew — he was excellent! There were four in our group so we got a helicopter to ourselves. I can’t remember the name of the package we chose, but we were picked up by a limo at our hotel around 6 am. After all the admin and safety stuff we were off! First time in a helicopter and it was amazing! Drew pointed out a lot of interesting things and there was also a prerecorded narrated tour (which had really great music) for parts of the ride. We got to see the Hoover Dam on the way out.
When we arrived first we landed at the bottom of the canyon and went on a boat ride, then back in a helicopter for a short trip to the top. We landed at a welcome center sort of place where were given a map, the rundown on the bus routes, and the time to be back by for our trip back to the Strip. The bus had different stops. The first we went to was a sort of old west town/​ranch. We were pretty early so things weren’t really hopping yet, but it wasn’t crowded or hot so that made up for it. We chatted with the guys at the horse barn, stopped by the gift shop, talked to the band. One of the young men from the horse barn even gave us a short roping lesson — and let us try it out too!
We hopped back on the bus. The next stop had the skywalk, which we didn’t do. It was amazing enough without it, and we were able to walk right up to the edge of the canyon (or as close as we dared). No guardrails here!
Our next stop on the bus was where we had lunch (included in our helicopter package). To be honest I wasn’t expecting much. It turned out to be really tasty. We all went with the chicken (I can’t remember what the other choice was). It came with a salad, potatoes, veggies, and a cookie. We had a table close to the edge of the canyon. What a view for lunch!
After lunch we hopped on the bus back to the welcome centre and had time to wander around the gift shop before meeting up with Drew again to head back to the city.
Definitely feel it was worth the money to upgrade to the package we chose. It was a once in a lifetime thing (or not, we may end up doing it again in the future!) and I’m glad we didn’t feel rushed at all.

Wow! I have always vowed never to get on a helicopter, however I had also never seen the Hoover Dam, so I thought sod it, why not? Firstly, you get picked up from your hotel in a swanky pants limo. Then they gave us champagne, which was good as I needed a little Dutch courage.
I needn’t have worried. It was incredibly smooth and as the lady who greeted us said «it’s like riding a magic carpet». Well I haven’t actually been on a magic carpet, but now I don’t need to! We did the twilight tour over the Hoover Dam and the Las Vegas Strip. It was amazing! If you have never been in a helicopter, I thoroughly recommend it and I have to say Sundance Helicopters were brilliant in every way. Treat yourself next time you are in Vegas, you definitely won’t regret it.

Just wow! I’m a nervous flyer in general so was dubious but really wanted to see the Grand Canyon with limited time. The canyon was of course amazing but so was the helicopter! I loved it, such an amazing feeling to be flying over Las Vegas and over such beautiful mountains. If you’re considering booking, do it! The picnic was also a lovely touch. Many, many thanks to our calm and lovely pilot, Cameron, for this experience of a lifetime:)

I booked this trip as a surprise for my dad.
He is a 65 year old man who had never been in Vegas or seen the Grand Canyon.
You should have seen his face when he found out that we were taking a helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon!
First, let me tell you that I could do without the limo ride, I personally think that is a bit tacky and a waste of gas since my hotel was like 1 mile away, but whatever, it was included in the package, so…
I booked online at VIATOR, as I understand they subcontracted Sundance for this trip.
The limo was on time and the driver was very friendly, we were staying super close and he offered to give us a tour of the strip since we had time before we had to be at the location, that was very nice.
When we got there they make you watch a safety video and they have a little souvenir store (also be aware that on top of the cost of the tour, there is a $ 50 fee per person that you have to pay when you arrive)
We took off and the pilot was super friendly, they gave us an audio tour available in different languages.
The view was AMAZING, it was breath taking, I could see my dad just blown away. You will fly over The Strip first, then the Hoover Dam and then the Grand Canyon.
There is a little place where the helicopters land and they give you a few minutes to take pictures while they set up a picnic with sandwiches and champagne.
What is super funny to me is that they play a super cheesy soundtrack that includes music from Indiana Jones as you approach the Canyon and Star Wars Theme song as you land in it. I was cracking up!
It was an adventure definitely worth every penny.

Langer Sunset Helicopter Flug über Lake Mead, Hoover Damm mit Landung im Grand Canyon mit Picknick anschliessend Rückflug im Sonnenuntergang und Nachtflug über den Strip. Abholung und Rückfahrt pünktlich mit Schwarzer Stretchlimo am Hotel, war tolles Erlebnis. Man fliegt wirklich lange mit dem Heli, (2 Std)
Sehr freundliche Pilotin, sehr nett. Audio Sprache in Deutsch über Kopfhörer beim Flug. Sundance Helicopter immer wieder.
