½ star not full. The staff that wasn’t doctor related and probably paid least were great. Cooks did a great job fancying up the lowest quality of food. If you like a prison atmosphere but with medication, this place maybe perfect for you! I’d still be stuck there if I didn’t give into taking their medications and give into their claims I was crazy. Also great for the homeless that volunteer that need a roof over their heads for a couple weeks with some fancy meds that help them sleep longer. All therapists say the same thing in group, state your name and tell me how your feeling besides something like «good». All just mindlessly read the same cheap photocopied papers. I felt like I was a better therapist than the ones hired cause I gave even the craziest person their a chance for a conversation to see how they were doing. There was one good therapists with brunette hair and glasses that worked in south wing. She didn’t just mindlessly read a paper and activated our brains… I now know what it’s like to lose your freedom and a taste of hell. This was my closest experience to prison I’ve had. The only way they would let me go outside is if I smoked their cigarettes and that way I had four 5 minute outside experiences a day. I hate cigarettes but at least I could go outside… Their selection of 5 books is very limited, and their limited coloring book options are boring are meant for a 3 year old. I had to ask multiple times for new copies of drawing outlines to color to not be bored off my ass. They feel like they’ve done their job if your sitting down dumbed down drooling… How hard is it to buy a new $ 10 coloring book that is for artists and make copies of that? The only people that cared about the patients seemed to be the staff that monitored the hallways and gave you snacks when you asked. Even though the snacks were terrible for you, and mostly chemicals and sugar (wasn’t their choice). I won’t be stepping foot in Nevada again, oh but burningmAn is there, damn it! I guess I will be back… Hope you take this feedback to make your business better to actually «treat» your patients. Drug abuse got most of them into the faucility and your solution is to give them drugs to make them better. You should give every client a joint instead of a cigarette and that would help them out more than anything. The nurses were good. Especially that guy with long Grey pony tail. He has a brain. The establishment sucks, and for crying out loud fix your heater in the south hall tv room for you sickest patients. The owners and main doctors are cruel in that case. Giving into their claims was my only escape, and my visit with a real doctor/​therapists will have my sickness debunked! Everyone goes crazy from time to time. Drugs and lockdown are the worst solution in my Opinion. Luckily the last 2 days of my 7 week hell they moved me to the nicer side, with heat and 2 tv rooms and around people that may have been in and out of prison, heroin and meth addicts and alcoholics but at least I had heat, 2 options of tv’s so I wasn’t stuck watching zombie movies the homeless guy wanted to watch, and play games and talk with decent people despite the label they may have been given…

While the staff are generally pleasant, their business practices are clearly focused solely on billing your insurance carrier rather than patient care. This is overwhelmingly made clear in how people are treated.
The therapists are all quite competent in their own fields but in a high turnover environment such as this, only so much can be accomplished in the time a patient is in their care. Whether motivated by the profit margin gained by billing your insurance or simply a fundamental lack of empathy, a patient is never really made to feel like they are where they need to be, nor aware of how long their stay will be, until the day before they leave.
The M.D. on staff was fantastic and took ample time to understand his patient’s needs and followed through on the appropriate care. This however is as far as concern for a patient is exhibited. From this point on the psychiatric staff decides your fate and whether by whim or fancy, they push their own agenda for care with a one size fits all mentality.
For those unfortunately here against their will, whether needed or due to an over zealous third party, you are simply stuck as nobody will care to hear the truth of what you are telling them. Remember, you have insurance and that is the reason you are there.
You are sized up, diagnosed, and put on medication immediately. Even though you may not need a particular medication, exhibit no symptoms to warrant a need for say as an anti-​depressant, you have little choice in the matter and your refusal to start this new regiment of pills will result in a confrontational approach to your care and the length of your stay will be increased.
For patients who know their rights, and the authority these Doctors have, you can expect a condescending conversation sprinkled with half truths in an effort to ensure you understand their demands are absolute.
The day is filled with group sessions straight out of the text book and the therapists do very well in disseminating the information. The cuisine is sub par, even more so when the billed amount is considered. You would be surprised how much powdered eggs are billed at. The accommodations are more suited for a halfway house rather than a treatment facility designed to make you feel human again and comfortable in your own skin.
Make no mistake, the facility is a business, a profitable one to be sure, and patients are a commodity. As such, you should not expect the moon when it comes to your care. Expecting that only what is needed to meet the legislatures operating requirements be performed for your care would be a better investment of your time.
To be clear, the nursing staff and patient care specialists in each ward are pleasant and respectful but I suspect the constraints, to which they are bound, prevent them from really exhibiting the level of care they wish to provide you
Can you be a patient here and get a level of care needed to pull you back from whatever brought you to their door, yes you can.
Can you look back on the experience and feel you got everything you paid for, and most importantly, everything you needed to be successful afterwards, from what I’ve seen, no you can’t.
Take my review and discard it as nonsense or consider it when deciding on where to seek out your treatment, either way I wish you success, strength, serenity, and sincerely hope you find what you need.

This is truly a profit making center for the company that owns the business, and not the least bit interested in the patient care side. I had the unfortunate experience of being employed there. I was written up for giving a «test caller» a schedule of groups offered on the unit. I was told by my supervisor and the director of the center that the schedule was only for Joint Commission purposes, and that the groups are not offered. Here is the quote from the write up: «We do not want to give the impression that these groups are offered on a regular basis they are not. In the future refer these callers to come in for an assessment, and they will then be admitted from that point.» Keep in mind I had been there one week at this point. Everything that has been commented on by others is true. It is a hospital ran by para professionals in order to keep costs down and the professional that are there are stretched thin and only waiting on their licenses. I wouldn’t send or refer anyone there ever. They are well known to overmedicate and not provide actual treatment at all.

This place makes me feel like the worst parent ever. I took my child here and I completely regret it. Someone in another post said the keep people so that they can collect the insurance, and in my case I think it is 100% true. I took my son in and was told it was a short term facility and that the stay would only be for 3 days. Now I am being told that I will not be able to get my child for an additional 3 days totaling 6 days not including the day my child was checked in. The reason being is because the doctor caring for my child is on «vacation». These people are very unprofessional they do not return calls, they are very unorganized, they do not communicate with the families, and sneaky. I was told I should have called to check in on him (which I did and never got my calls returned) I went to visit my child and he looked as if he had been drugged even after I declined having him take medication. If I were you I would strongly consider another facility for your loved one, this place needs to be shut down and investigated for insurance fraud. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE TO THIS PLACE!!!
