Southwest Bimmers

SW Bimmers is the best BMW repair shop the the valley. I have been their customer for 3 years and they always delivered excellent service with reasonable prices. I have 2 high mileage BMWs at 101,000 and 139,000 and they always do a great job in keeping these cars in great shape. I have also learned good DIY tips from Devin and John. I highly recommend fellow Unilocalers to check them out. You will be extremely satisfied. Happy Bimming!

I was referred to Southwest Beamers by a friend and I have since referred others here.
I used to take my BWM for service at the dealership and they always tried to sell me other services, my repairs/​maintenance bills were $ 1500/​$ 2000. A friend referred me to John at Southwest Beamers and my bills are so much cheaper! They have excellent customer service, prices are way lower then the dealership. The staff is super friendly, John always explains what’s wrong with my car and gives me an accurate estimate. If they need to keep my car they offer you a ride home or a discount at a car rental place. I referred a friend and she was very happy with the service and prices too.

Ive had my car worked on here a few times with mixed results. Originally I liked these guys but the last experience my car was never actually fixed. After about 3 – 4 months it still had the same problem they charged me to fix. Also I called them and talked to a guy named John on 3 separate occasions about replacing a headlight. Was told on 3 different occasions that he would order it, but never called me back. I called back and was put off each time. This last time I was told on January 7^th «the holidays messed up his orders», and he would call me back. He never did. Im done being put off by these guys. I mean you seriously don’t have a headlight in stock, and cannot order one? I found a better place already closer to me. I wish them luck.

The guys at Southwest Bimmers are great. I had my brake pads and rotors replaced by them and — through no fault of Southwest Bimmers — the rotors were warped. After two months, my car started shaking when I braked so I brought it back in. They stand by their work so John and crew replaced the rotors, no questions asked. They had me up and running in a little over an hour. Exceptional customer service.

I will agree with most of the other reviews. Took my Mini in for a check engine light. John greeted me, and promptly checked out the car. It needs work, but he did not pressure me, was informative, and gave me a written estimate. Unlike most shops in town, including the Mini dealership, SW Bimmers will diagnose without charge, which used to be the standard in America. I feel I can trust this shop, which is hard to come by when it comes to auto repair anywhere. Since my problem is not urgent, I will most likely have this shop do the work. This was a rare pleasant experience, despite the work I need done.

New in town and my wife and I are BMW owners. Found this shop through Unilocal and it’s definitely a gem. After my oil change they informed me they cleared my error codes (I didn’t know I had to register a new battery), fixed my right rear blinker bulb (on the house), and provided me a list of things my vehicle needs serviced as well as sat down with me onto which needed the most attention and which could hold off for a couple months. Excellent customer service.

I cannot rave about this place enough. Devon the owner is an absolute lifesaver. I’ve had my 2007 bmw 328xi serviced here several times and every time I’m treated with the upmost respect and he always ensures me peace of mind when working on my baby. Like many, I was looking for an alternative to autonation’s bmw of las vegas who quote hundreds of dollars and never solve the problem. I found Southwest Bimmers on Unilocal and called Devon to check out my car’s Check engine light. The dealership quoted me $ 900 for a new coil. Devon took me in at the last minute switched one coil to the other and the light went off. Never charged me and told me to come back if the light comes back on. Light never came back on months later. The honesty and integrity of this shop should be noted.

So I’m in town visiting and suddenly my brake pedal becomes super hard to push. The infamous brake booster goes out on my X5. Not knowing who to call or any reputable repair facilities in Las Vegas except the STEALER Dealer, I googled BMW repair places in Las Vegas and this place pops up. I look at the website and it looks first class. I then call and speak to the owner Devin who reassured me that his shop is fair and honest and doesn’t try and upsell people. I took his word because of the pinch I was in and he could have taken me for a ride. Instead he explained to me what was wrong with the car and then fairly and honestly fixed the problem. Moreover he did a full vehicle inspection on the car since I was driving back to Orange County and discovered that due the rear camber the rear tire was worn to the tread and separating. His attention to detail was priceless and he treats the customer with respect as well. I would definitely look to take my care here again. Hell I might just drive out from SoCal to have my car fixed here because of the money I would save and I can use that for a mini getaway.

I have a 2005 545i
After paying 3 times as much at the dealership. I found southwest Bimmers. They rebuilt my engine, which had secondary emissions problem. They totally fixed everything for less than half of what the dealer wanted.
Since then they have done two other jobs always helpful and friendly. Usually for less than what they quoted. They are very honest and fair.

I’ve been going here for a year now and it just gets better with every visit. Devin and John make a strong team and give me piece of mind with my X5d. They go above and beyond for me and I don’t even ask for it, it’s part of their way of work. They are the «ultimate BMW team» in Las Vegas. Don’t hesitate to bring in your bimmer to even just have Devin take a look at it. He’s a master mechanic so he will know what’s going on or if your all good– he’s honest. Took my car in expecting to spend $ 500 in parts and labor to fix. A quick fiddle under the hood and they fixed the problem! Total cost $ 0.
They could have taken my $ 500 and I wouldn’t have known any better.

If only every car repair provider can be this good. Used Unilocal for many years and this is my first review ever because I’m simply too lazy. So this means a lot. Trust me

I’m too busy to write reviews, and I especially dread writing negative ones! But, I feel the need to share/​warn others about our experiences with Southwest Bimmers. My hubby and I bought a used 2003 330i for our son 1 ½ year ago. (It started out as a great car, then had an oil leak, then it became a huge headache with problems after problems. We know to avoid BMW dealerships for any service/​repairs, so we went on Unilocal,entered our location, and Southwest Bimmers caught our eyes with their 5 star excellent rating). Without hesitation or doing further research, we called to make an appointment to bring our car in to have it checked out. We dealt with Devin, the owner, and he seemed really nice and cool and made us feel at ease (we immediately felt that we would be in good hands). We became regular, loyal customers :’(and brought our car there for any/​all issues. Usually John «took care» of us. We thought all along, without a doubt, these guys did business with integrity. Boy! We were so foolishly wrong!
I got really annoyed twice:
1.) Uggh! They left the headlights on over night, so when we picked up our car in the morning, we didn’t know the headlights had been left on which caused the battery to drain, so when we tried to start the car again later, the car wouldn’t start. We had to get our car towed at our expense to Southwest Bimmers, so they can charge the battery :(!! Barely got an apology from John for their mistake and negligence-​inconveniencing us was no big deal to them.
2.) Then the following week, the right taillight blew out. We replaced the bulb, but it still wasn’t working, so we had John look at it. John said he would have to order the kit ($ 600-​$ 700+labor) :(. I was shocked and devastated!!! An hour passed, and I got a call from John telling me «good news» he can get the kit for around $ 380+labor. And it will take a few days to get the kit. It was still very hard for me to swallow, and I still felt very uneasy even though the new price is about half of the original quote :(. I then prayed about it, researched on Unilocal and came across a business called BMW Only who also has excellent ratings. I called (and spoke to Victor, the owner) and asked if it was «necessary» to get the kit in order to repair the taillight and asked how much it would cost to get it repaired. Victor broke it down, «Around $ 75 for the kit, tax, since it’s an „easy“ fix only $ 20 for labor so $ 103 TOTAL.» My jaw dropped, and I started feeling sick to my stomach that this whole time we thought we were in good hands, instead, we’ve been taken advantage of by John and Southwest Bimmers!!!
When I called John, he said he was happy to hear from me and stated, «The kit just got delivered.» I then told him off and told him I’m so disgusted and disappointed, and felt so betrayed! I also told him I’m soooo glad and thank God I didn’t go through him/​them cuz another mechanic place that specializes in BMWs is only charging me $ 103 TOTAL for parts and labor to fix what he was going to charge me $ 380+labor for! John was speechless cuz he was put in his place! Another lesson learned!!! From here, we’ve been loyal customers of BMW Only since August!
Take your money and business to BMW Only or elsewhere, cuz Southwest Bimmers is a RIP OFF! YOU WILL BE GLAD !

I’ve been bringing my 2004 330ci to SW Bimmers for about two years now, and even though I live about 35 miles away, I wouldn’t go anywhere else, under any circumstances. You have to trust your doctor; you have to trust your dentist; and you have to trust your car guys. And boy, do I trust them.
First, they tell you what’s wrong, and what it’s going to cost to fix it. Then they stick to what they say. My main computer went, and they went all over the world looking for a refurbished or second hand one (I’m one of those folks who own a BMW and is NOT rich). Finally, we sent my faulty computer off to Florida to have it refurbished as we couldn’t find one anywhere, and I just could not afford a new one. They had quoted me a price «out the door,» and I’d done enough computer searching myself to know that price was super good. But when they computer came back, my battery had gone bad, and failed to hold a charge. They put in a new battery, but still held to their original price. Not a penny more.
One of my first repairs with them was to replace the windshield spritzer, install new bushings, and have an oil change. I’d gotten a quote from the dealership (ouch!), and SW Bimmers did the work – same exact stuff, same BMW parts – for a smidge less than a THIRD of the dealership price. You read it right – not half price, not «a lot less,» but a THIRD of the dealership price. And in half the time!
I’d walk to their shop to do business with them. No, no fancy espresso machine in the waiting room, but darn good coffee and a smile on everyone’s face. The technician will actually come right out and explain what he did, and they let me know what repairs or work will be needed down the road and their cost so I can plan. However, I know they wouldn’t let me drive to the end of the block if they felt the car wasn’t 100% totally safe and absolutely road-​worthy.
I love these guys so much, I made them a cake – a real, totally from scratch cake, yellow with chocolate butter cream icing – and delivered it to them because they «always have my back» and I appreciate their honesty and integrity.

I can’t say enough about these guys! Called them on Monday morning at 8:15. John said give me an hour. Had a new battery and end links tightened up… Back at Luxor at 10:30. If you have a BMW and you are near Vegas you need to see these guys. First class.

Brought my 2010 X5 diesel in July, you’ll need to make an appointment few days ahead if you want to get in. I saved lots of time going here and it was personalize service I even got to hang out in their waiting room while they were working on it usually I have to drop off my car at a dealership for a whole day and maybe even get a car. I think I’ll become a regular here at Southwest Bimmers, the guys were great. Devon, the owner even suggested I bring my vehicle in in 5 to 10,000 miles just to get a good walk around look at the diesel. you can tell Devon really cares about the cars. John who works the office is as great too. Im a lifer at Southwest Bimmers! Thanks guys

I moved to Las Vegas a month ago. When I arrived, my wife’s car needed servicing, and mine conveniently needed a new starter. A friend recommended SW Bimmers. Man, I was not disappointed.
Service is the driving force here, and from the office manager, to the owner, they treat you like gold. If the Four Seasons was in the car repair business, this is how it would be. The shop is super clean, the reception area is not a luxury hotel, but clean, nice and comfortable. The bathroom is even clean! What a concept.
I highly recommend SW Bimmers. I’m a customer for life!

Devon, actually drove with me for a bit and hooked up the car to a computer to diagnose the issues BEFORE I paid a cent… A BMW dealership would NEVER do this, free… I drove away, and came back later to drop off my car… no credit card hold, no deposit. Fixed the issue and worked with my insurance. Perfect!
Just an honest man, running a top tier shop. Hands down great service. This is your place if you have a BMW!

These guys have fixed prices for everything which are same as the Stealership. What makes them different than the Stealership? Read below and decide.
I went there to get my BMW checked because I could smell gas outside the car. They put it on the lift and told me it’s the «Fuel Sender Unit» and gave me $ 500 price for part and Labor. I asked him for a breakdown (part cost, how many hours of labor and what’s their hourly labor rate) and the guy said «It’s Fixed Price and that’s how much we charge». Later I discovered that part was only $ 235 (original/​brand new at the dealership) so they were charging me $ 265 in labor for one hour. Dealership at Sahara quoted me about the same. Another import shop charged me $ 80 for labor and changed it in 30 mins. I wouldn’t mind paying $ 140 ish/​hr labor for premium car but $ 265 is outrageous.
Giving 2 starts only because the staff is very polite and helpful. They might do good custom work but stay away for general maintenance. There are plenty of places in town who can do basic maintenance for a lot less.

being a Euro car owner for over 20 years, I’ve had experiences between good, bad and ugly I must say that finding this shop was the best thing that could’ve happened to me (currently) owning a BMW. Being around the block a few times with these cars, I know a few things…
Devon (owner) is a hard working, honest guy who does his best for everyone, I have never been disappointed in the service, the pricing or the quality of workmanship from this shop. He has a sterling reputation and believe me, he deserves it.
Read the other reviews, you don’t get nailed and punished for owning a BMW by this shop. They are beyond reasonable, and treat you like an intelligent adult, not a dummy with an open checkbook.
Las Vegas has a big shortage of reputable repair shops… As long as I’m in LV and own a BMW, this is where it’s gonna go-​End of story.
Southwest Bimmers is building a good business around sound practices and excellent customer service, they deserve the highest possible ratings here.
