South Shore Beauty Salon & Barber Shop

I want to take a moment to write a review about Rhonda the manicurist South Shore beauty salon. Her prices are competitive. Rhonda does an excellent Joe manicure the best in town and she’s fast. And a great lady is well.

I have been going to Kathie for over 20 years. Great cut, great price.

I started going to this salon 12 years ago.
It sure has changed over the years.
Another this that has changed is the hairdressers themselves.
For many years it was always the same faces but over time they have mostly all gone.
I had a regular girl who did my hair every 8 – 10 weeks. She did a cut and color.
She started slacking after having kids and getting a more hectic life and the last time I let her do my hair I left with burns and skin chunking off my scalp :(
I stopped going there for about a year and just let my hair grow out as I was scared to go anywhere in fear my hair might fall out after a bad experience.
I decided to call the salon and find out if she was still working there so I could just let her know that honestly I wasn’t happy with the way she did my hair the last few times (especially the last) and see if there was someone else that could give it a try. They said she wasn’t working there anymore that they had to ask her to leave so *phew* I didn’t even have to be brave and tell her I wanted someone else to do it!
I asked the person who answered the phone (Barbara) if she could suggest someone who could cut really long hair and do it good. She did suggest a girl and when I went in for my appointment I took a pictures from a hair magazine to show her what I was wanting.
This girl did an amazing job and took as long as she needed to get it right.
I do recommend this salon because even when there have been mess ups they have been honest and corrected it the best way possible.
It is neat and clean and even though I haven’t had my nails done they do have another half of the salon dedicated for manicurists so it is nice if you want to get your hair and nails done in the same place.
