If you want amazing hair see Brooke Grose! I previously had black, then very vibrant red hair, then back to my natural brown which was much too boring so I wanted to lighten it with bayalage. I knew this was not easy by any means, you need an expert. My sister in law went from dark hair to a beautiful healthy looking blonde so I had to know where she went and that’s when she told me about Brooke.
Her studio is adorable. It’s not your standard salon where you hear everyone’s drama and are in a group scene. Each artist has their own private room and you feel at home the second you step in to Brooke’s. (At least I did) I showed her some pictures of hair she had done from her IG (follow her!!) that I wanted and she was very honest that we may not get exactly there (we had talked about the dye already on my hair) I loved her honesty. No false promises.
Cut to the foils off, hair dried, and styled. Oh my god amazing! This girl got my hair so much lighter then I expected it to lift. All while such a fun, comfortable environment (I’m a bit of a introvert and felt like I knew her for years) I have gotten so many compliments on my hair. I lovvveeeee it!!! I cannot wait until my next appointment. Thank you Brooke!

Hi, as I’m doing my hair tonight, getting ready to work, I realized how much I love my hair, thanks to Stella, at Sola Salon. She put something called Oliplex in it, and it is soooo soft, and even my husband says it looks so much healthier, and that I should get that done all the time. Stella was very sweet and knowledgeable, and I love my new cut and the color is fantastic! I really think she did one of the best jobs on my hair, I’ve ever had, & I’ve been getting highlights for a long time. Great to find her here on Unilocal,as I’ve just moved here and it is hard to trust someone new to something that’s important to me like my hair. Thanks Stella!

Gina Atkinson is THE best. I was totally against having my hair dyed as I have been dye free for over 7 years. I finally broke down and called Gina and her work was absolutely amazing. I was blown away by how she really listened to what I wanted and was able to pull off the look I asked for. Gina is also super patient and offers the best suggestions. I’m very indecisive at times and can be a hairstylists worst nightmare. However, Gina is always so calm and mellow and instantly puts me at ease. Love my hairstylist! Thank-​you Gina for being so awesome!

Gina Atkinson is freaking amazing. I have DREAMED of having my hair like this for years. Make sure to book your appointment in advance. You have to send photos of your hair, and then inspiration photos. Get to your appointment on time, and magic… Gina made my hair appoinment super fun. She’s so humble and so full of life. I am so happy with my hair color. Love it!!!

Brooke Grose and Bre Morgan are the best stylist I have even used if you need you hair done call and ask for either one you will not be disappointed I promise you that. There is nothing they can’t do I also checked them out on Instagram first lots of pic of there work ! I’ll put up a pic of mine

I just got my hair cut by Gina Atkinson today and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better outcome! She is very patient when I stumble through my explanation of how I want my hair cut. She offers ideas that work with my hair type and face! She makes sure to check with me before she cuts to make sure I know what I’m getting into (I cut off about a foot of hair). She is always pleasant to talk to and can talk and cut at the same time, which is an amazing talent! I would never go to anyone else! It’s hard to find someone you trust, and I feel like I could trust Gina blindfolded!

You only need to know one name… Brooke Grose. She was positively wonderful! I had been going to the same stylist for years and was very nervous about the switch. I had my eye on Brooke’s work for months when I finally made the connection. I couldn’t be happier with my results. She is a true gem! Not only does she do stellar work but she was a blast to hang out with while my hair was processing. She’s a perfectionist and won’t let you leave with anything less than perfect.
I HIGHLY recommend her! She also has an IG public page so you can see why she’s such a rockstar at what she does. (

The only name you should know to get your hair done. For years I’ve gone to literally all the salons you can think of & wasted so much money on my hair and still never got the EXACT look I wanted. My younger sister recommended me to her and I decided to give it another try.
A really cool thing with contacting Gina, you actually get to message her directly :) You can email or text her inspiration pictures and let her know exactly what you want.
My end results were amazing! I told her exactly what hairstyle & color I was looking for (although I need to visit her again to get my color perfected) and I’m not kidding when I say I have NEVER been so happy with my hair :) I’m so glad to have met her! She’s so sweet & down to earth, AND GORG BTW!

We go to Jimmy the Barber inside of Sola Salon. He’s gives an amazing haircut every time. He’s really busy so try to book a week in advance. You will never leave disappointed!

I went to Brooke for my balayage hairdo! And boy is she awesome! I had gotten her number from a good friend of mine, so I had already trusted her — my friend would not recommend someone to me if they weren’t worthy haha I hadn’t gotten my hair done by a «professional» in awhile so I was a little nervous.
I texted her introducing myself and showed her pictures of what I wanted. She immediately texted me back and was super duper friendly. I immediately made an appointment and was super stoked.
The night before my appointment, she texted me to make sure we were still on and to confirm what time and where she was located. I had some last minute questions and she was once again super friendly in answering anything I was curious about.
When I arrived that day, she introduced herself and walked me to her cute little studio within the salon. She made sure we went over what I wanted just to make sure one last time we were on the same page. After the first set of balayage highlights, I thought my hair wasn’t as light I thought it would be. She immediately asked me what she could do to make me 100% happy with my hair. I told her lighter would be better so that’s what she did and my hair cane out so great! I have been getting lots of compliments and would definitely come back again!
It took a total of four hours or so for everything to be done but the time went by so fast! Brooke is adorable and you will chit chat away so the time passes quickly. You will have a lot of fun while doing your hair because she makes the atmosphere like so.

Brooke is amazing!!! Went to lighten my hair in the summer and back to dark this winter. She gave me exactly what I wanted. I have lots of thick Asian hair, and she tamed my mane perfectly even cleaned up my mid length bob. She’s not only a hair whisperer, but she’s super sweet and has great customer service! I highly recommend her. Visit her at Primp Hair Studio in Sola Salon.

Sydney D is the best! Her salon is towards the back. Go to her website and book an appointment with her. She takes walk ins also. She absolutely fixed my botched blond hair from a different salon. Shes fantastic at color and her prices are super fair!

If you don’t know her. Google her, Instagram her, and Facebook her. You won’t be disappointed when you look at her work. She’s the master of ombré and the fairy godmother if you’re trying to go blonde.
She’s located in Studio 5. Go on her website to get her contact number to set up an appointment. She travels a lot and has a large client base so you’ll need to set something up in order to see her. Her salon is fairly small and she shares it with someone else, but it doesn’t take away from the amazing service she’ll provide you.
I’ve been wanting to go blonde for the longest time, but I was ALWAYS scared. She made it happen. I’ve had bad experiences when it comes to thinning my hair out. I’ve got thick Filipino hair and she was able to do magic in a matter of minutes. I’m definitely coming back to her. I actually have an appointment set up to get some extra highlights in.

I love Sola Salon! I go to Tammy at the Grotto Salon. She does a great job and I have been going to her since I moved her three years ago. The latest time I went for an ombré look with red and blonde. Although my hair wasn’t able to go very blonde because my hair is so dark we were able to lighten in a lot and I love love love it! I’m glad I wasn’t able to go blonde because I love how the ends turned out. She also styled and curled it so I was ready to go out to dinner that night! I recommend the Grotto at Sola Salons to anyone who needs a haircut, up-​do or dye job. Tammy is awesome! :)

So if there is ever anybody you’d need a clone of, it would be your hair stylists so that they can be there at your home and just do your hair all the time. That is what i’d love, is to just have a clone of Josh in my house at all times :)
