Sears Outlet

I purchased a washer and dryer, a stove, and a dishwasher here. The first dishwasher was caved in on the bottom not allowing the bottom spray arm to turn. Sears repair person said it was broken before I got it. Sears Outlet said they would exchange I picked out another one, upon delivery finding the top caved in as if someone had sat upon it. Also had a big dent in the side. The outlet again said they said I could exchange. At the store picked out another and seeing a dent by a seam, asked them to check the seam for leaks The salesman shined a light inside the dishwasher, the light came through the other side showing this unit defective also. They acted surprised that it was on the floor for sale and said they would remove it. I again called a Sears repairman. He took the panel apart finding the power source to the control panel unplugged. He plugged it back in and started the cycle. It seemed to work, he said it was fixed. I loaded the dishwasher and started the cycle, it stopped in the middle flashing a «LE» error signal, with the pump continuing to make sucking noises even with the door open. I tried to turn the unit off and it would repeatedly turn itself back on. I had to unplug the unit. I called Sears repairs again and they said it was a Samsung unit, Samsung had to repair it. They forwarded me to Samsung who told me the warranty had expired. They said I would have to mail proof of purchase before they would do anything. How? I had purchased the unit the day before! The many processing stickers on back of the unit showed the Outlet received the unit back in 2015, waiting many months for parts. It was NOT a scratch and dent unit, it was preowned and had been returned. All four of these units were seriously defective. I also ended up returning the washer as it would not clean the clothes. I replaced it with a front loader, and I called Sears repairs again as the new washer tub was banging so bad it looked like the machine was going to explode. One of the spider arms was totally loose. I feel the Outlet is a shady business. Sears should seriously reconsider any dealings with these people.

I am writing this at 3:15 am. After receiving the first dishwasher which I found did not wash dishes we started a repair. The repairman said the unit was dented at the seam and had to be replaced. We went back and picked out a second unit. The second unit is delivered crushed. After thoroughly inspecting the dish washer at the store where it was square it’s new reverse arch top was clearly an indicator of damage. So we load this up and pick out another dishwasher. Mind you the cost has increased with each trip as we are buying higher and higher end dishwashers. So we return and the store tries to trade for the same model. This one the seam is clearly busted and would have flooded my kitchen. So we upgrade again. I opt out of delivery which they refused to refund as the washing machine and dryer were delivered. By the way this is washing machine number 2 and the spider arm is clearly malfunctioning due to the loud banging noises. That’s another issue though, so back to dishwasher 3. Brought it home, went out to do some planned activities which installing a dishwasher wasn’t on the list, and returned this evening and began the install. Finished installing my discount 650 $ dishwasher and it doesn’t power on. It too is broken. Stay away from this place unless you want to spend days trying to repair your «discount». Aka broken appliances. So far 5 of 6 machines purchased have been non functional or malfunctioning. Heed my warning. Avoid this place at all costs. Go to Abc appliances off walnut, anywhere else, lowes, Best Buy. Save yourself from making the horrific mistake I made and doing business here.

I was looking for air purifiers due to the dry season. We found them for medium rooms for $ 80. Amazon had the same purifiers for $ 145. Walmart $ 215. I was so happy. We bought all 5. With the additional 20% off. Great deal.

My husband and I came in to purchase a washer and Michael was so very helpful and knowledgeable he made the entire process very enjoyable. The store had a very large selection of washers and he was able to quickly guide us to the type of washers that we were most interested in and help us reach a final decision.

Stopped in to check out their inventory, since we just got back from their San Diego location. Definitely more home-​goods and apparel items than I remember seeing in CA, but their dishwasher selection was lacking and prices were higher than the SD counterpart, surprisingly. There was a dishwasher labeled at a lower price, looked to be perhaps a used model, but nowhere anywhere did it state that it was used.
Same with refrigerators, though they did have more to choose from, we opened some and they had the «new fridge smell» but some had the «defrosted smell» yet they were all being sold the same, if only slightly reduced in price. I would definitely appreciate some labeling.
Anyone looking for washing machines — it seemed like endless supplies. Also, saw some outdoor lawnmowers, and some outdoor furniture, which might be a better purchase than mechanicals.
Overall, it was an enlightening visit, and I probably would have shopped longer in apparel and kitchenware if I’d come alone but we did choose to skip buying any appliances here due to reviews and experiences.

Bought a «dented» kenmore elite fridge for about $ 1,900 plus tax, without the $ 500 warranty they were really pushing, @ the location on lone mtn and decatur. Paid to have it delivered… ice maker worked for about a minute. 3 days later the entire unit crashed. Lost food and of course took it back which involves getting a friend with a truck, haggling with the manager, just overall inconvenienced.
Sears outlet totally misrepresented these appliances. Beware!!! They are used regardless of what they tell you or incredibly old. The coils on the unit we bought were covered in dust and gunk like it had been used. When we were guaranteed no one has ever used any of them.
Ended up going to RC Willey and bought a newer unit for $ 600 more and got a free gift! And RC Willey’s will price match so we started looking and see about $ 300 coming back.
Bottom line is you get what you pay for when it comes to electrical appliances! Not worth the hassle to try and save $ 100 in the end!
Shame on you Sears!!! You’re scamming consumers with this outlet!

The Henderson branch of the sears Outlet, went out of their way to fix our problem and fast once they heard. Big kudos to them. We’re hoping it works now. Than you though for getting us a fridge while our family was in town. Very appreciated.

I’m sure the prices here are lower than most places that can be found, however this review is for the customer service and knowledge I received from a certain employee. I was «helped» out by josh who knew absolutely nothing about the product nor about the Sears rewards or card policy as well. About a good ²⁄₃ of the facts he told me about my washer were false as I did research when I went home. He spent more time up selling me the Sears credit card so I can get rewards to buy the connecting hose for my washer than explaining the product. Then to top that off I find out later that I wasnt even able to use my reward points that day as josh said.

My gf and I just bought a house needed decently priced appliances and there stuff looked nice just a scratch here or there but when we got the frige and washer/​dryer home nothing worked at all the frige didnt get cold and the dryer didnt spin im never buying here again not worth the trouble

For a new home owner looking for some gently ‘bruised’ appliances at a great price– this is the place to go. Any type of large appliance that you would want and a wide range of brand names.
Customer service has improved each visit. They are not too pushy and don’t hover much. They are knowledgeable and friendly.
Watch for deals and and sales because you can pick up steal! Many items are not damaged and are still in the box so that’s another option.

I bought the same great appliances from sears and saved over $ 400.00 from the quote from rc Willey. Fast delivery. Nice salespeople. Would recommend to anyone!

We bought a «dent & scratch» refrigerator for almost 60% off retail! The one little dent on the stainless steel counter depth appliance will absolutely be covered up when I put all my magnets on it! This is a prime appliance and we are very pleased.
Michael, our associate, was so patient and gave us plenty of extra information about appliances that helped us in our decision.
We also bought a NEW gas range with convection oven and warming drawer for 45% off!
We will be returning to the store to find the over the range microwave. They get new deliveries twice a week.
Check it out and ask for Michael. He will tell you straight what is a deal and what to stay clear of.

BUYER BEWARE. This store does not honor the return/​exchange agreement, printed on receipts and their website. I purchased an item online, which a friend picked up for me in California because there were none local. The item turned out to be defective, but no biggie because I had my receipt and was within the 30 days for returns. I took it to this store and was told that I must return it 220 miles from home to the Sears Outlet where it was purchased. Policy states: You can return your item to the Sears Outlet Stores. I called customer service four times and it sounds like it will be resolved thru the Henderson store. It’s never worth this hassle and they will never see me again.
And by the way Sears Outlet, I’m pretty sure this is ILLEGAL!

Bought a Kenmore Elite refridgerator from same outlet store. Supposed to be new. After 2 wks, could not make produce water or ice. No kinks in line. Two days later it started working again, it’s a miracle. Another 2 wks and it stopped working again. Called the store, they offered money back or pick out another fridge no problem. They were very willing to give money back as if they do this all the time? Replaced first fridge with exact same model (new, on floor, supposed to have never been used or returned). After 3 days, could not produce ice, freezer could not go below 20 degrees. According to repair person from Sears, he believes it may have had work done because it was returned. So it appears they are re-​selling merchandise after corporate makes a quick fix. Don’t waste your time. They may all have been dropped off the truck. Nothing but problems and we are waiting for our money to be credited to our account after 5 days. What a surprise. STAY AWAY!!!

The Sears Outlet has a mix of items they carry in the store from clothing and accessories to housewares and large appliances. The vibe has a Savers/​Big Lots type feel, but the items are usually new. Some items may be «reconditioned» as there are open box/​floor displays, etc so they may have several pieces of the same item with one being cheaper than the others.
I didn’t really bother to browse the clothing area at all so I can’t comment on it. If you’re looking for a refrigerator, a stove, or a washer and dryer there is a wide variety of those appliances on the floor. Some of the prices on items were indeed good as I looked after the fact at some models online to compare and it was a few $ 500 – 900 cheaper on some of the models I liked of Kenmore Elite french doors.
If you have a Sears card, you can use it to do no interest for I believe 22 months and they deliver for $ 70, I believe.
We will probably be back to upgrade the kitchen sometime. I think it’s worth a stop if you bought a new house or upgrading. Plus there’s a Ace next and some pretty good falafel next door.

I think I liked this place better when it was a grocery store. At least there was a Starbucks inside. The layout is much the same as many thrift stores. I wasn’t looking for anything specific, so I just browsed around a bit. They did seem to have some decent prices on clothes and furniture. I didn’t price the refrigerators, but that seemed to be what they had the most of. The Mrs. found a nice set of glass storage bowls for twenty-​five bucks. The cashier was pleasant and friendly. I will be back, as you never know what kind of hidden treasure you might find. Put on your Sunday best kids, we’re going to Sears.
