Reverent Tattoo

This is now my favorite tattoo place. Every artist here is talented and the shop is chill. I got my tattoo done by Josh Etch. He gave me a beautiful clean tattoo. I recommend all my friends and family to check this place out.

Sent Josh an inspiration photo for a tattoo that I wanted and to him to make it his own. What I walked out with was so much more than I could have imagined. His lettering is fantastic and his creativity played out so beautifully in my piece. Thank you Josh for making it a super enjoyable experience! I appreciate you.

This tattoo shop is the best in town for sure. It’s a very mellow atmosphere and the owner Joseph is a fucking master. His wife and him are both extremely friendly and they make you comfortable and welcome. Their prices are all fair especially since they only put out high quality work. Definitely only getting tattooed here from now on.

Okay, El Pelon is awesome. My boyfriend and I went in for our anniversary, and were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he worked. We brought in examples of our ideas and he added touches to make them even more badass than we expected. The whole shop itself is super unique and the owners are great. We will definitely be back!

We came in as walk-​ins and Pelon hooked it up. We got simple tattoos, but he made them his own and blew our minds.

Young ladies & gents! Good tattoos, like all other great quality things in life, cost money.
So if you want an elaborate, highly-​detailed tattoo, prepare to save up for it.
It’s a labor of love type of art, and to me there’s no real price for that. «You can’t buy happiness»

Beyond the quality, it’s about the people too. Joey and Michelle rock! Very professional, Michelle is great with communicating and obviously Joey is amazing with his work. Don’t come to the shop trying to dictate what you want, come with ideas and an open mind and Joey will create a masterpiece. I witnessed a couple other tattoos being done from the other guys in the shop and everything looked incredible. Definitely recommend having a consultation in the shop with Michelle to find an artist and a design from these great professionals.

Both my wife and I have received some quality ink at Reverent Tattoo. I’ve had 2 cover ups done by the amazing Josh Etch and we all know Joey is the man! All the guys at the shop are super cool, nice and do super clean work. This will always be my Las Vegas tattoo shop! Thanks fellas!

I got my tattoo by Joseph and holy hell Im so in love with it! He was booked months in advance but it was so worth the wait! He was quick and so professional, and the tattoo was very easy to sit through.
To set up the appointment I went through his wife, Michelle who was so sweet and very attentive to my requests. She constantly kept me up to date.
The whole process was easy and I can’t wait to come back and get more ink by him.

Joseph is amazing! His work is unique and wonderful he did an awesome job on my tattoo he took a simple design and put his own Little twist on it and everybody is asking me where/​who I went to and I will always refer them to him. I’m definitely going to be going back for the rest of my tattoos

Josh was amazing! He took a tough spot on the body for ANY artist and rolled with the punches! I can dig a shop that busts balls with each other and their clients!
I was super impressed that even though it was a Sunday (when most, if not all studios are closed) but there were two artists doing work. One guy was in there for almost 8 hours I think getting a badass octopus with mandala and skull head. CRAZY!
This shop does some WORK! Way far away from where I live in town but worth the trip. Thanks guys! Can’t wait to plan the next one! :)

We knew Joseph as a customer at the coffee shop we work at and he started talking to my boyfriend about a design, well he’s so great that he’s booked at least 10 months out. I was trying to surprise my boyfriend with the down payment and Michelle (Joe’s wife) helped me get it all set up just over texting! They were so accommodating and just awesome. She’s the sweetest and so beautiful, and She should be an interior designer, the shop is so eclectic and the vibe is something else!
We started with a simple octopus design for a shoulder piece, and it turned into a whole chest and torso piece, but it’s sick and Giving Joe the reigns for designing the whole thing was the best decision ever. It’s amazing, as you can see.
You get what you pay for here, and the artists will take their time and make epic designs if you let them. They are professional and no bullshit, which you need in a tattoo business. They will work with you and figure out what you want and who would be best for it. Now that I’ve seen more of his designs I’m gonna be making my own appointment soon!!!

I wanted to wait until my tattoo was completely healed before I posted my review. So I had a word on my inner bicep and I loved the meaning behind it but it looked childish and didn’t do the «meaning» justice. So I came to Josh Etch at reverent to help me out. He traced what I had and I explained my vision to him.
I couldn’t have imagined a better tattoo! His drawing exceeded my expectations and I’m so in love with it. When I go shopping I keep trying to buy tank tops just so I can show it off, I get SO many compliments on it! If I get any more tattoos, I will 100% be back here with Josh!

I heard about this shop from mutual friends who have had tattoos done from the artists in the shop. I went into the shop about 8 months ago to schedule an appointment in advance with Joseph. I showed Michelle (who is the sweetest lady I have ever possibly met in my entire life), a picture of what I wanted and told her I trusted Joseph’s work & he could just flow and do what he wanted with the picture. He did an absolutely AMAZING job. He was super gentle with the needle and worked diligently and fast. Not to mention he is extremely easy to talk to, so the interaction was very pleasant for me. The tattoo is absolutely amazing and I’m in love with it. I honestly have no words to describe how awesome his work is. I can’t wait to come back for more work from him in the future!

I came in the shop wanting something totally different then what he drew up for me and I couldn’t be happier. Joseph did such an awesome job and it’s a sick piece. Michelle is the sweetest as well. Great shop, great vibes, and professional work! Love them!

I just want to start by saying that all the body art I’ve seen come out of this shop have been incredible. During the 7 ½ hours I was there I got to see a couple beautiful pieces being done.
I got my first large piece done by Joseph Haefs two weeks ago and I am soooo beyond in love with my thigh piece, and falling more in love everyday. I also absolutely loved the energy in this shop, everyone was so friendly and positive. They definitely made sure you felt comfortable and stayed hydrated/​energized throughout the session, which was super appreciated and kind of them. I would 100% recommend Joseph Haefs for your next tattoo. Everything he creates is beautiful.

If you do want the top 2 artists there, make sure to schedule appointments as they don’t do walk-​ins since they are constantly booked. Joseph and Austin provide amazing artwork and I highly recommend getting one of the two.
The shop itself is very clean and sanitary. Everything they use is disposable and nothing is used twice. If you want a tattoo, you will go through consulting and meet with the artist beforehand. Definitely bring photos and ideas of what you want so the artist gets a better idea of your vision. There is a $ 100 deposit to schedule and lock in your next tattoo appointment, but that $ 100 goes towards your tattoo cost.
The cost they charge is well worth it. You get what you pay for! Don’t be cheap on something that is going to be permanently altered on your body. These artists take hours off the clock just to do your sketch and really work hard to making sure it matches what you want.

So, a little preface; our 17 year old daughter really wanted to get a couple tattoos during an upcoming trip to Las Vegas. Since she is very picky about most everything in her life regarding its quality, style, artistic merit etc. she had been researching local (California) ink artists and found a shop that had several artists that produced the style of her desired artwork. Problem was, in California minors less than 18 yrs. cannot legally be tattooed — even with parental consent. Sure, there are shops that will do it but not the reputable establishments and those were the waters my daughter’s choice of artists swam in…
Nevada, on the other hand, does allow 17 year olds with parental consent to get tattooed. So, after Unilocaling, Facebooking and instagramming shop after shop and finding that even in Nevada some shops, by choice, refrain from tattooing minors; we found Reverent Tattoo.
However, Reverent Tattoo is mostly appointment service and we were down to a couple days before the Las Vegas trip. I texted Reverent Tattoo and began conversing with Michelle about an appointment. My daughter liked two Reverent Tattoo artist’s work she checked out online. One artist was out of town while we were going to be there. The other artist was Joseph — the proprietor, who runs Reverent Tattoo with Michelle, his wife. Joseph is in high demand. I fully understand why, now that I have met him, watched him work and viewed the results. But I’m getting ahead of myself…
Another problem: Michelle said Joseph was booked up until April, 2016! She asked to see the proposed artwork as there was a slight chance we could be squeezed into Joseph’s schedule the Saturday afternoon of our arrival in Las Vegas. After Michelle [and Joseph] checked out the artwork, they felt it would be less than a two-​hour session. So Michelle squeezed my daughter in for an appointment.
When we arrived that Saturday, my wife, daughter and I were greeted by Michelle and found Joseph working on the stencil for the tattoo. We gathered around the table and everyone began talking and getting to know each other. Immediately, we were all comfortable with Joseph and Michelle’s personalities and dispositions. Our daughter was worried about the discomfort during and after the work especially with it occurring on the front-​end of our 4-​day stay in Las Vegas. She was reassured that everything would be fine.
When Joseph finished his variation on the artwork my daughter wanted; to say he made an improvement on it would be an understatement. Joseph re-​imagined it. He added beauty, depth and complex intricacies that enhanced the overall effect! WOW! We were all blown away. Also, the speed at which Joseph actually produced the tattoo was astonishing! This was despite him saying he purposely made an extra effort by using three needles to really produce razor sharp detail in the design! Our daughter easily handled the first tattoo on her forearm so she went ahead with the small Latin script she wanted on her side. That work was done so quickly and cleanly that we were, once again, amazed by Joseph’s skill and artistry!
So, if you are considering some ink and are in Las Vegas; do yourself a favor and try to get an appointment at Reverent Tattoo. Joseph, who I can personally vouch for, is amazing (if available) but, judging by their work; Austin, Josh and Pelon are all extremely capable artists and wouldn’t be there if they weren’t top-​notch! Joseph has been on the local scene for many years and it shows. His shop and staff are all personable and friendly. There’s nothing intimidating or offensive so it’s an appropriate establishment for everyone from every walk of life or belief system. Oh, I forgot to mention, my daughter is vegan and all Reverent Tattoo ink is vegetable-​based and vegan!
Sidebar: I asked Joseph about tattooing minors and I didn’t expect to hear what he came back with. Simply, Joseph offers services to minors with parental consent because in his experience, if a minor can’t get a legitimate artist to do the work, they often times end up with a friend or some «hobbyist» doing the work. The result is less than desirable and since it’s permanent it’s a real shame to look at that work later and see someone so unhappy. At best they end up having to do a cover-​up to minimize the damage done. By agreeing to legally work on minors, the result is world class and appreciated by all for a lifetime! No regrets…

In closing there’s one last thing to remember: The brief high you may get from an inexpensive tattoo will be long gone when compared to the lifetime of regret you’ll experience by having to look at it forever. You get what you pay for.
