We provide comprehensive dental care for infants, children, and adolescents. Dr. Alice is a board certified pediatric specialist who couples warmth and care with excellent clinical expertise in her interactions with patients. In addition to general behavior management we also offer nitrous oxide laughing gas, in-​office oral sedation, and hospital dentistry if your child is fearful of going to the dentist.

History

Established in 2010.

After working as an associate in various pediatric dental offices, Dr. Alice started her own practice in 2010 in Las Vegas Summerlin area.

Dr. Alice P. Chen grew up in Northern California. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA then graduated Cum Laude from Boston University. Dr. Alice is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a recognition that is only given to an elite group of pediatric dentists.

As a resident of the local community, Dr. Alice enjoys going to the park and hiking with her family. She and her husband Matthew have a toddler daughter and they are expecting another child in Summer, 2012.

Professional, competent and extremely child friendly — from the receptionist to dental hygienist to Dr Chen herself, we have always had the best experience.
Our 2 year-​old daughter looks forward to going to RRKD, and mentions Dr Chen’s name every couple of weeks! Plus when our daughter had developed sores on her tongue, Dr Chen called us back in her personal time to assure us that it’s probably geographic tongue and nothing serious (our pediatrician subsequently confirmed this).
Dr Chen is very thorough with her work, and is patient with explaining things to a first time parent in an easy to understand way.
Dr Chen seems to genuinely care about my child’s happiness and well-​being, as I had observed that she does with her other little patients too. I could not be a happier parent to bring my little one to RRKD, and I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Chen to anyone looking for a dentist for their little ones.

Referred to me by my neighbor. We have been visiting RRKD for a few years and like the rest of the reviews, all is great except for our last visit. I had rescheduled the week before and due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to reschedule again. I called the day before the appointment as they were closed on Monday but was told they were fully booked solid for the next 2 weeks. I had no choice but to keep the appointment. When I was in the office that day, I clearly heard Judy giving someone on the phone 3 open dates to schedule an appointment for the following week!!! Too bad! I was just about to recommend a friend with 3 kids, one who needs major dental work to this practice but decided against it as they might need a practice who has a flexible schedule that could accommodate to their busy lifestyle.

I was very impressed by how caring and patient Dr Chen was with my 5 year old who needed some fillings. She is really great with kids and puts in the extra time and energy needed to keep them as comfortable and calm as possible. The staff is also very nice and the office and waiting room were very clean & kid friendly.

I was referred to Dr. Alice Chen for my 20 month old son. And what a great referral it was! She is so gentle, caring, and even her voice is soothing. Those are very important qualities when dealing with terrified children. The staff, like the office is very warm and welcoming. The waiting area is filled with kid-​sized chairs, books, toys, and a TV playing a children’s movie. The exam rooms have overhead movies to watch during cleanings.
Dr. Chen is very knowledgable, answered all my questions, and since she is a mother herself– she not only understands how to deal with the children– but with anxious moms too!
