VERY VERY VERY POOR SERVICE!!! RIP OFF COMPANY!!! To their credit, tech found the problem and routed it to a capacitor. Ok typical. Trying to charge $ 450?! Ridiculous. That part is on Amazon for $ 20 and takes 15 min to replace. I’d do it myself if I had a ladder. Called another guy for $ 200 (mid-​summer THAT is a fair price not $ 450) where this company went wrong?! Peeling off the sticker so the other tech had difficulty figuring out which one to use! VERY shady company. Unfortunately it’s very hard to find a good honest fair company. Do yourself a favor and AVOID these people. Good luck!

We just had Polar Air conditioning replace 4 units in our home. We competitively bid for complete change out of the builder supplied, minimally efficient, units that had seen 13 years of service without a problem but, with a very expensive operating cost and poor air filtration.
The bids had a wide variation and Polar air was the most competitive by a material margin. Beyond that one of their Principals, Leo, was very informative. He is so personable and easy to communicate with it is scary. He can’t really be that personable, knowledgeable and competitive. There had to be a hitch. There wasn’t. He spent more time and did a more thorough Explanation of our options than the other two companies. He provided sound advice, not pushing to up sell and ultimately we chose Polar Air (middle of the road product).
Leo and his work crew were very professional. These guys have tough hot dirty work. They kept the place as clean and organized as one can expect and cleaned up afterward. Keep in mind that this is dirty work so it isn’t spic and span clean. But our home wasn’t left a disaster area either.
One other thing to note. They always showed up when they said they would. They always completed what they said they would each day. Leo was always available on his cell, was there at the start of each day and came back to check to make sure everything was good towards the end of day 1 and 2.
One of the best experiences we have ever had with a contractor of any kind (we renovated and built a several homes). Can’t say enough positive.
With respect to the competition I have to mention that Sierra Air was our incumbent service provider and they always provided quality service. However their prices are very high. We thought that is what you have to pay to get quality service. At this point we would recommend checking around before buying from them. The other local competitor I won’t mention because my comments aren’t very nice. While their price was competitive, they were very unprofessional. I wouldn’t trust the salesman for a second. If you meet them and start asking the right questions (do you guarantee this is the all in price? Will you put this in writing? What else could you find that would require extra charges? c, etc etc). The dodging less than forthcoming declarative statements that came out removed any trust I would ever place in him. With contractors you can trust, but you better verify. Sometimes you are better to not even trust at all because you can tell the verify is going to be bad. Trust your gut.

AC went out on a humid 110 degree day in vegas. Called up Polar Air after hours and they were able to fit me in the next day! Showed up when they said they would and fixed it very quickly. Very fairly priced. Polar air made a uncomfortable situation very pleasant. Highly recommended! Thank you Polar Air!

The vegas heat has been out of control. Polar air was on time, friendly, and fixed the problem in no time. I felt comfortable with the tech and it was all in all a great experience.

I had an issue with my furnace not working properly. It was early afternoon on a Friday and Precision Plumbing said they couldn’t make it out till the following Monday. I have two kids and needed to have it fixed as soon as possible. I called Leo at Polar Air told him my issue. He had John come out within an hour and a half. He was very professional, repaired my furnace and didn’t try to sell me a new one. Thanks Polar Air.

Avoid at all costs! They misdiagnosed my problem and charged me thousands for repairs I did not need. My ac still doesn’t work. These guys are scammers that take advantage of people. I hope you guys can sleep at night knowing you stole from a schoolteacher!

Terrible Terrible Terrible. 6 visits of the tech fiddling around with god knows what on my roof saying «it should be okay now» the cold I’ve had for the past two weeks because my apartment can’t get above fifty degrees says otherwise. They NEVER apologized for giving me the royal run around, and I’m quite sure other companies have the decency to drop off a space heater or two while their incompetence is rectified. NOPE. The 2 stars is for the receptionist Rachel who at least is nice and always called me back timely enough. The lack of 3 stars is for their TERRIBLE technicians.
Why not kick them to the curb, you ask? Because my landlord refuses to use another company… hmmmmmmmmm.
Also, as a side note, whats with the Jesus fish on their business card? What year is it?

It was 111 degrees out and our AC died. I called and Rachel was so friendly and was able to reroute their service man and he was here within 20 minutes and had our AC fixed and running in less than an hour! The service man was very polite and friendly… I will DEFINITELY call them again!
