When it comes to hospitality and gaming, though we are based in Las Vegas, we are essentially an international firm. We serve casino resorts and other gaming industry related clients throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and as far away as Cairo, Egypt. Government and not-​for-​profit, construction and real estate, and valuation and litigation services are among our other practice concentrations.

History

Established in 1990.

Piercy Bowler Taylor & Kern was formed in late 1990, the successor to the Las Vegas office of a large national firm. The Firm quickly rose to prominence among local firms, competing head-​to-​head with national firms under the direction of L. Ralph Piercy, Richard H. Bowler, Revelle Taylor, and Michael Kern, the firm’s founders. We’ve grown from the four founders and 12 associates to over 80 full-​time employees.

Ask Ralph Piercy about his days on the UNLV basketball and tennis teams, the desk in his office that looks surprisingly like a baccarat table, guitars and his next career as a singer /​songwriter, or his son on the PGA tour.

Ralph is the Firm’s gaming industry practice leader, a nationally and internationally recognized gaming consultant. In addition to managing audit engagements, he is often called upon to evaluate the feasibility of gaming and other hospitality ventures, the effectiveness of internal control, and the efficiency of operating procedures including scheduling, productivity and revenue management.
