Wow! So much fun. We took our kids so ages 53,52,24,21. All of us had a fantastic time!!! Penn & Teller are such a joy to see & be a part of. When you can make 1,500 people all feel & be part of the show you are doing something great! The perfect birthday present for my wife! Infinite # of stars if possible. They are fantastic!!!

Very funny, well executed and better than Copperfield’s show. I also liked the fact that they are down to earth, approachable.

My husband and I really enjoyed our evening at the Rio and Penn & Teller’s show. It was funny, witty, full of magic and really fun — genuinely worth the money and as we found out, Vegas doesn’t have a lot of things like that.
During our show, they had everyone go up on stage and sign and envelope, as well as pick four cards and a cup for their love ritual which was a trick that included the whole audience. I really liked how they had a lot of audience participation. They had like four or five tricks that got a lot of people involved which was fantastic. My husband actually got to go up on stage for their ‘disappearing elephant’ trick and I’m sure he’ll never forget that!
All of their tricks were more than decent, and we were in awe and delight the entire time we were there. I believe that we paid just over $ 200 for amphitheater seating, row C, right side. That’s not too bad considering what the better Cirque shows costs, or Dreams over at Wynn. We’d definitely go again — I’m giving four stars for excellence. I only wish the show had been a little longer!

I’ve watched every episode of their BS show, and loved their Fool Us show as well, so when my boyfriend and I visited Vegas, the first thing we did was make sure we had tickets to see them live, as we never had before. They are true performers with the gift of a gut busting sense of humor, and nearly incomparable magic-​show talents. We were blown away by the performance and agreed that it was the highlight of our trip. If we ever get the chance to see them again, we will absolutely buy tickets.

Nothing magical about my rating – our group thought Penn & Teller were amazing and worth every penny. We are still trying to deconstruct some of their tricks. Sat in the forefront of the mezzanine, with a clear view of the entire stage. BF was very relieved not to sit in a lower floor seat as he did not want to be tapped to perform, although Penn & Teller actually included every patron in their act. The entire audience was invited to come on stage before showtime to sign a card and also to participate by performing their own card trick midway through the show. Unfortunately, while trying to fold my cards, I lost control of them as they projected onto the people in front of us. Made me appreciate their card trick even more.
Doors open at 8 pm and their musical director plays jazz tunes while keeping the audience informed. Don’t be late, as the show starts on time and is off like a shot! After the show, both Penn and Teller greet guests and are available for photos.
As is true with most shows in Vegas, prices and seating or ticket pick up terms vary significantly, based on the site you use, so do your research. We found the best prices by just going to the Rio site and being redirected to Ticketmaster.

The theater was a little cold, so you may want a sweater. The tricks were pretty amazing and for the most part funny. I know I could have lived without the libertarian politics.

Penn & Teller put on a great show. It’s witty and cynical and everything you expect, plus magic! They are also great with the audience, involving many in their illusions and tricks and letting them keep props as souvenirs. Case in point, one person in our group became an involuntary participant when one of the props used ended up under his seat. It was just mind-​boggling how it ended up there. Trap-​door? Sneaky stagehand?
Some tricks may be familiar if you’ve watched Fool Us or Bullsh*t…but it’s still pretty cool to see live. Additionally, it was much appreciated that they spent a large portion of the aftershow signing autographs and taking photos with guests.
If you ever wanted to hear Teller talk, that’s your opening. It was weird, haha!

These guys are great. While they’re not the showmen/​flashy sort of magicians, their simplicity makes them fabulous. Their style, filled with lots of dialogue, sarcasm and satire, might not be everyone’s favorite, but it’s right up my alley. I love how they poke fun at the «famous Vegas magician» Criss Angel during their show!
We were lucky enough to have front row seats when we saw them in January 2016. I still have no idea how they did any of their tricks. I assumed I would notice some of their tricks since I was sitting so close, but I did not. (Where does the real live rabbit come from?!? And how did Teller switch bodies with the guest sitting on stage?!?)
I thought the price ($ 95/​ticket) for the front row was quite reasonable. I can’t comment on the drinks at the theater since I didn’t order any. The show itself was just the right length — it was not too long, but it wasn’t short. I’d say we definitely got our money’s worth.
The two meet with show guests in the lobby after the show. We thanked both of them for doing that. What a great duo to give time to their fans every night!

If you’ve seen «Fool Us» you’ve seen most of the tricks but it was great to see them live. They are a one of a kind duo. Seating was comfortable, acoustics good, actors A+++.
We love them and their politics and it was super cool to see them outside the auditorium.
Teller actually spoke to us! & Penn took the photo himself — shuttering all the way down to his tongue so that when I looked back later I saw a wondrerful image of his open mouth.

The doors open at 8pm, an hour before the show to get drinks. There is a separate line for beers and wine to the right. The drinks, in my opinion were overpriced but they give you a free souvenir glass. I had a non alcoholic ‘magic’ drink they had listed… But it was very sweet and I only drank half of it.
The show itself was excellent. I love how Penn & Teller explain how other magicians do tricks and then take their trick to the next level. The show was quite humorous as well.
I works absolutely recommend the show.

I’ve watched a lot of Penn and Teller’s «Fool Us» TV show, and I’ve seen some of their clips from other shows, so I was familiar with their personalities. They performed and acted exactly like how I see them on these video clips. Penn is the tall brash sounding guy, and Teller is the quiet shorter guy. But both perform spectacular magic.
This show occasionally makes use of the large screen TV, but I find that if you’re sitting further away, some of the tricks may be harder to see. For example, with the trick where Penn is playing guitar and Teller is doing ridiculous things with playing cards, it’s a bit hard to see what card exactly he’s flinging around (if Penn declares three of hearts, I just had to pretend I could see what Teller was holding).
But with that aside, I thought the show was very enjoyable. Penn talks quite a bit so sometimes the conversation can go over your head if you’re not paying attention, but the magic speaks for itself.
They don’t rely very heavily on showgirls or other assistants, which I like. Their tricks aren’t super flashy and blingy, but they still wow the audience.

Penn & Teller performs at Rio Hotel. We purchased our tickets at the box office. I wasn’t able to get any discount through being Total Rewards member.
The show was at 9pm but there’s a jazz show at 8pm and you can go up to the stage and sign the envelope for one of the give away.
Teller doesn’t speak through out the magic/​show only Penn does. Penn is the taller guy with glasses.
If you’re used to fast pace magic show, you may need to be flexible and adjust your expectation. Penn and Teller likes to reveal secret to magic tricks but still manage to trick you.
Penn tells you different perspective on magic tricks. I think he’s a realist. Their magic show isn’t setup like other shows. They pick fresh audience volunteers.
Penn & Teller does great deal of charity work which I appreciate. You can read about them near the gift shop.
It’s about an hour and half long. I did enjoy Penn & Teller.

Having been a fan of Penn & Teller: Bullshit, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, and Penn’s appearance on Celebrity Apprentice, I’ve been wanting to see them since the 90s.
BOX OFFICE
We could not find our tickets at will-​call and we did not have confirmation, so the night started off kinda bad, yet the agent was very nice, and eventually offered us half-​price tickets to get us in. Desperate he checked under misspellings of our name as found us under «Trekop» instead of «Prekop». So, shout out to the box office excellent customer service.
DRINKS
My two drinks cost $ 40, so the first trick I saw was seeing my dinner money disappear.
THEATER
The theater was not as tiny as I hoped, but not as large as I feared, so I was happy with our discounted $ 75 seats. Except for one particular trick involving a handheld camera and live feed (the most mind-​blowing), they don’t rely on a big screen, which they address by saying it’s impersonal, true because we all end up just «watching TV».
PRE-​SHOW
Before the show you are subjected to a pianist who most people find amazing, but while I am certain Penn & Teller find his loud, frenetic, and chaotic music a great appetizer for their entrée, it made me feel uneasy and anxious. Again, probably the desired effect.
TRICKS
As for the tricks, I was under the impression that the tricks they did on their series were «retired», and that I would be seeing all new tricks. That was not the case, as I have seen on TV the six tricks involving a cell phone (A), egg (C-​), rose (A), saw (B-​), balloon (A), and gospel song (C-​). The only «new» ones involved the handheld camera (A+), elephant (A-​), joke book (C+), nail gun (B+), rabbit ©, and guns (B).
STAGE PRESENCE
I think the enjoyment level will come down to stage presence. I find Penn to be a very compelling, articulate, poetic, intelligent, and naturally funny storyteller, so listening to him talk was pleasurable… though I admit that non-​fans might find his wordiness boring or his quick speech tiring.
POST-​SHOW
The duo stand in the lobby to meet and take pictures with fans. The lack of line is a bit chaotic, like trying to get a drink at a busy bar, but it made it more personal, as a mob surrounds each member for a chance to meet. In Penn’s case, he seemed to have a system as he selected people to meet (he was very gracious as I «fanned» out on him) and he himself took the selfie. That’s pretty damn cool.

I’ve seen Penn and Teller a few different occasions, but they never cease to amaze me. They do not have shows every night of the week, nor are they guaranteed to have a single show each week. This is because one show grosses enough revenue that they aren’t hurting for more money.
Last night, my boss treated us to some pretty decent seats as an early Christmas present. I avoided the bar area because beers were going for $ 12 a piece. However, this isn’t a review of the bar, so I will leave that part out of my rating. I arrived a bit early and had about 15 minutes of fun enjoying a smooth jazz pianist (Mike Jones) play his heart out! As we were entertained by the music, audience members that wanted to be a part of the act signed an envelope on stage.
I did not, but this certainly did not prevent me or anyone else from accidentally being a volunteer. During the act, we never had an issue hearing Penn or other guests from the speakers. Their microphones worked beautifully. The stage presence and comfortably Penn and Teller have with each other is truly phenomenal. But this is no surprise when you consider they’ve spent 40 years work with each other.
Let me summarize some of the great tricks you might see:
* Cold Readings in the form of Jokes
* Things disappearing
* Card tricks, ladies cut in half, rabbit pulled out of a hat … you know, the usual
* And likely ending the night with a «bang»
If you feel like I gave anything away, go to the show and you’ll see that my spoilers are quite small :).
After the show, if you are a serious fan, you will have the chance to take a picture with these legends. I would have, if I wasn’t so darn hungry!

All in all, I feel like my two hours were wasted, my money was wasted.
I bought three tickets for me and two friends. I feel sorry for invite them to see this show.
After see the illusion magic show by David and Jan, I came across this comedy magic show by Penn and Teller, did a little search on
and Unilocal,after see some good reviews, I decided to give it a try.
But at the end of the show, all three of us fall asleep, the show was so boring. The magic tricks they performed were so outdated and lack of creativity. The stage was simple, the music was bad, I don’t enjoy it at all.
The price was 90 per ticket, it was not cheap.
I don’t recommend this show at show. Go see magic show by David or Jan Rouven.

Quick Review™
I am a fan. Although — after attending four times — it just grew stale for me. The last time I went to Penn & Teller: I fell asleep. It was during their lone new magic trick, so it’s not like it was because I had seen what they were currently doing before. Still a Five-​stars show for first time-​goers. Not enough change in the show for repeat-​goers.

I love Penn Jillette. I like his attitude, his school of thought, his personableness. I love Teller’s character. The Tempest was outstanding.
The show evolved this way for me:
1^st time (balcony) — Five-​stars!
2^nd time (front orchestra) — Five-​stars!
3^rd time (front orchestra) — Four-​stars, I cannot believe they used my friend for the mobile trick!
4^th time (balcony) — Three-​stars, I cannot believe they keep the show 97% the same as the first time I came years ago.
5^th time (N/​A) — I allow the voucher for complimentary pair of balcony seats for donating blood to United Blood Services (

My least favourite is the new elephant trick since it literally put me to sleep.
This is just not a show which one attends more than twice without it immensely affecting one’s rating of it in an adverse manner.

Rating: Three-​stars, «A-​OK.» (Penn is still cool. The jazz opening is worth the price of admission.)

Fricken uh may zing! :) I don’t really know what else to say… It’s a magic show… a magic/​comedy show. We had awesome seats, I mean like fourth row floor, center stage. Great seats, incredible act. I guess because we were so close, we caught the slight of hand once. But that was it! Man friend got called up on stage to observe a shooting illusion naturally. He couldn’t figure how they’d done it… while on stage!
They’re funny and engaging. The show is in the Rio. The bartender about killed us with the drinks… not a complaint just an observation. You’ll only want one. The act was fantastic and it was great to see these old pros still at it and working together.
If in town, make this a go-​see. *look into my eyes… you are getting very, very sleepy! When I count to three, you will awake feeling refreshed and craving Penn & Teller* One. Two…Three

First off I’m a bit of a Penn and Teller fan.
I love that when you walk in you hear music being played by a two man band. One on the piano and one on the base. After you enter if you come in early enough you are invited to come on stage inspect a wooden box/​crate and sign an envelope. We got on stage and did just that. I sat back in my seat and watched the band and noticed the base player looked a lot like Penn. Then he left.
Show starts and you get to laugh and watch some cool tricks. If you are lucky you can get picked to be part of the show. I got picked to be on stage it was fun. If you buy tickets don’t bother getting the cheap ones if you want to participate the first floor is where you get to go up on stage.
Go see the show before they leave to be on Broadway again.

I was already fans of Penn and Teller, so I’m sure that helps. I fell in love with Penn since I saw him on Apprentice. He was just so smart, unpretentious, and grounded.
The show was funny and has a lot of audience participation. I love that they gave every audience member called on stage a piece of the act to keep as a souvenir. I was lucky enough to find one some ungrateful dude left behind. All mine now. :P
They had great tricks and even stuck around to take pics after the show for anyone willing to wait in line to get one. I was not, but it’s cool they do that. LOL!
Go see it! It was worth seeing the legends live.

The Penn & Teller magic show is located at the Rio, which is off the Strip. To get there I took the free shuttle to Rio from Bally’s which runs about every half hour.
Show time is at 9pm, but there is a pre-​show jazz pianist beginning at 8pm, or so they say, since the doors didn’t actually open till closer to 8:20pm the evening of my show. Another thing you get if you arrive prior to showtime is the opportunity to step up onto the stage and add your signature to an envelope that will later be part of the act, and check out a simple wooden box.
The show itself was great! If you’ve been to the show before, Teller told us that they pick and choose between a number of acts, so I’m sure you’ll see some new to you tricks.
Afterwards, I found both Penn and Teller standing separately in the hallway, available to sign autographs and to have their photo taken with you. So nice!
I had no trouble catching the first free shuttle back to the Rio.
And if you should arrive at the Rio even earlier than 8pm, you might want to consider heading over to the VooDoo Lounge elevator for a Charlie & the Glass Elevator type ride up for a terrific view of the Strip — only an option after 6pm. That’s also where they have a zipline for the adventurous, another option if you’re trying to spend some extra time before the theater opens for the pre-​show.
