Parkway Dental

I choose this place because it was close to my house AND I absolutely HATE gental dental. (I’ll save that for another review). Anyway, since I have Cigna Hmo, there ONLY a certain number of dentists that will take the insurance. So, I chose this dentist. It’s a small dental practice, and I THOUGHT that this place would be better… HECK NO!!! There’s no dental assistant, helping the dentist!!! His equipment is outdated to the max. When we came to this place I needed a filling done asap, so when he began the procedure, I thought that’s what he was doing. Of course not, he found two other teeth that had cavities and repaired those instead!!! Ughhhhhhh!!! What is with people and wanting what I asked for??? Geez. Good thing my friend is a dental assistant! Not only that, I had to go go back the next day because he didn’t smooth out the filling right the first time. Hence, his equipment… If I had better insurance, maybe I could have gone to a practice in Summerlin or Henderson.

My wife and I went to this joke of a dental office and the «dentist» (though we didn’t see any sort of certification on the wall) left the room a number of times with his gloves on and touched a bunch of stuff and then tried to go back in my wife’s mouth with the dirty gloves! She asked him to change his gloves and he took off the dirty gloves and placed them on top of the dental instruments he was about to use on my wife! Then he tried to put on the same dirty gloves after my wife asked him to use another set of instruments! We left at that point. We will be reporting them to the Nevada Dental Association and if could give them negative stars we would!

I like this office they are so nice and no long wait plus open on Saturday. I had an emergency where my wisdom tooth and jaw was throbbing. I called several offices close to my home with no luck because I have medicaid. I called Park Dental and explained my emergency. I was told to come in and Dr. Ronrico Mangapit would see me in between patients. The receptionist was very nice and compassionate to my discomfort. I filled out the paperwork and in about 10 minutes I was getting my x-​rays. Not more than 10 minutes after that the doctor came in to discuss my problem. He was very nice and let me explain my problem plus give him dental history. I appreciated the fact that he didn’t try to sale/​scare me on getting other services done like some offices. He explained what he saw and told me what steps he needed to take to resolve my pain. Because of that I will let him do my teeth cleaning which is only $ 49. He also give me a card stating what procedures are free under Medicaid in English and Spanish. The office was clean and cozy. They have a TV in the room and in the waiting area. This has been one of the most pleasant dental visits. I would recommend this office to anyone. It is a few blocks down from the bus stop in a pretty quiet and clean neighborhood. It is located about 5 blocks north of Charleston. The doctor is a gentle man, there was no discomfort during the examination. I will definitely go back to this office. Also it is not a very large office like some but it has a homey atmosphere. I am glad I found this office. I will take pictures on my next visit.
