I recently purchased a pair of Thierry Lasry sunglasses at this Optica location in the Aria hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. My friend and I both bought a pair of these very expensive sunglasses. We returned the next day to return our purchases as we no longer were interested in the item, only to learn the store did not offer refunds. This policy was not outlined for us at all other than in fine print on the receipt, but with such an abnormal policy as this one I would have expected that to be made clear upon purchasing our items. I understand that this is the store policy, and that most probably the company is interested in taking advantage of the inebriated patrons that frequent the store, which I would argue is bordering on unethical. Howeve there was no precedent for my friend and I to inquire about a return policy, as most all stores offer a reasonable return policy when you are dissatisfied with a purchase, and most especially at high end retailers where customers are spending hundreds of dollars on their purchases. Obviously I am extremely dissatisfied and would not recommend investing your dollars at this particular sunglass shop.

As someone that is legally blind and has been wearing glasses and corrective lenses since the age of 7, I have been to countless optometrists/optical stores throughout my 30 years on this earth. At first glance, Optica appears to be a fine establishment with a variety of frames/brands to choose from. However I think I need to get my eyes checked again, because that is far from the truth. I went in there with my girlfriend, who wanted to look at several different frames. The employee that was helping us had an attitude about her wanting to look at several different frames, as if it annoyed him to have to actually do his job and unlock more than one display case. Sending his vexation, she apologized several times to him as he opened up different cases– he didn’t reply to her, and just kept silently handing her different frames, which made it very awkward. We politely asked the employee to put a few frames on hold so we could shop around some more before making a decision. My girlfriend was upset and felt insulted by the poor service. We decided to go to LensCrafters instead, and ended up getting a better deal. I’m not one for supporting big brands/corporations like LensCrafters and try to support smaller businesses like this one, but opted out in this case as their professionalism was sub par and the employees seemed to hate their jobs/lives. We went in after we were done at LensCrafters, wanting to politely tell the employee that as a result of his attitude we didn’t buy the frames– and that hopefully he would improve on his salesperson skills as a result of our humble outcry. He wasn’t there(presumably taking a much anticipated lunch break). Instead, we told another employee that the customer service experience we received there was poor and that we were generally disappointed, to which he replied with a blank stare ‘I’m sorry to hear that’, followed by an awkward silence. Seeing that he generally didn’t care either, we walked out. It’s too bad Optica, we were prepared to buy more than one frame and potentially come back for more in the future. As a result of your lackluster staff, you’re losing out on thousands of dollars.

I will never spend another dollar here again in my life. In two years I purchased 7 pairs of Dita Sunglasses ranging from $ 450 up to $ 750. One pair of glasses lens started to look dull I went into this location and was told I spilled a chemical on my glasses. They then tried to charge me $ 180 for new lenses and when I said no way they tried to charge me $ 100 for what they called in houses lenses. So in a $ 700 pair of sunglasses they wanted to put there cheap in house made lenses. I couldn’t believe this. I left store after the rude service and called Lurxury Optical Holdings to speak with customer care. No answer and after three days no call back Dita. They were awesome and sent me lenses for free as a defective item. So Optica tried to charge me $ 180 for something that was completely free from the manufacturer.

I just picked up my new eyeglasses here after previously buying my last set of eyeglasses and two pairs of sunglasses at this location in the Fashion Show mall. Service has always been stellar, with much individual attention. The latest styles are always on display. And, prices are high but fair for the top designer eyewear being offered. Here you are not sold a product and then forgotten. I have regularly come in for free eyeglass or sunglass adjustment that has always been cheerfully provided. And, preparation of ordered eyewear has always been quick. I was promised my new TAGHeuer frames with prescription progressive and transition lenses within two weeks, and they were ready within one! I highly recommend this business for discerning nearsighted or farsighted shoppers who want to look their best but don’t have the patience for the hassle that accompanies dealing with contact lenses. Or, like me, would be inclined to constantly misplace and lose these tiny transparent discs.

Great thing is glasses can be made the same day for an easy script. I got good service here, attentive, helpful and good selection of designer prescription eyewear. I tried on several pair and saleswoman was very patient. Store is located on first level next to Nordstrom’s.
