O Face Doughnuts

Glad that I got a chance to visit before they closed. The donuts were pretty good but the location was small and a bit hard to find. The staff seemed rushed and not very friendly even though it wasn’t too busy during our visit. I got the maple and bacon donut with a nice creamy filling. It was pretty good and I would have liked to return to try something else. Oh well…

Hated to be the group of people that walks in to a restaurant right before they close but with how cold it was after dinner, my friend and I decided to grab a dessert and a warm drink before heading home.
Walking in with the cleared out display area for donuts, there were only 2 donuts left. Without having much choice, we grabbed a donut to share and took a coconut milk hot chocolate.
Being lactose intolerant, I decided to go with the coconut milk to help save my stomach any trouble and I am very glad I did. Can’t go wrong with mixing my two favorite things: coconut milk and chocolate.
As for the donut, nothing impressive about it. I will definitely come back another time when they have their full offerings but nothing special with their donut. Just very sweet/​sugary. So for now, a ⁴⁄₅.

I don’t live in Vegas, but was lucky enough to stumble upon O Face Doughnuts via Groupon. I didn’t purchase the Groupon but vowed to get donuts at this spot before heading out of town. I bought two dozen assorted donuts to share amongst 16 people. We were all so incredibly impressed! Fantastic flavors, wonderful balance, and pure joy for the taste buds! I’m so sorry to hear that O Face is closing. So many people will be missing out.
UPDATE: I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT THESE DOUGHNUTS! They were the BEST doughnuts ever. Hands down. No comparison. I am really hoping this place reopens in another location or that the creators of these wonderful jems let us know where they have gone so that we can follow them to enlightenment elsewhere…

I’m surprised I didn’t write a review! I’m so sorry… I thought I did a while back. And I’m sorry to see it close this week. :(sad face.
So I’ll write a farewell and hope to see you soon in another location or another doughnut lifetime type of review.
I was a doughnut fan before my personal choice to choose a healthier lifestyle as I come from a diabetic family and found out I am borderline diabetic.
Anyways, I remember my first time here… it was a spontaneous foodie adventure with one of my favorite Unilocalers, Melissa V! Our foodie adventure and staying healthy intentions was to check out Grass Roots, but as we were walking around the Carson building we said, «F-​it! Lets go to OFace!» We couldn’t resist. I’m so glad we did. My belly and taste buds were so grateful. And by serendipity, we had an amazing photo shoot with my favorite doughnut. Happy Day.
I loved interior design of O Face. Everything from the warm orange hues, the stone wall, the clock & stools were fun, bold, inviting and playful.
My favorite doughnut was the Mayan! Yes, the Mayan (not the Mexican doughnut.) It’s a little different than the Mexican doughnut. It was a dark chocolate doughnut filled with chocolate ganache and covered with chocolate ganache. Mayan, I will miss you. You were my holy grail doughnut. Before I found you (or you found me), I was on the hunt for a chocolate doughnut filled with chocolate and covered with chocolate. You were my dream doughnut, and I’m grateful that we got to experience life together. I’ll never forget you.
This place offered creative and unique donuts that were flavorful and dreamy. I prefer O Face over the other specialty doughnut shop that seems to be popping up all over the Vegas Valley. I wish, if they do decide to open up again in another location, they’ll choose somewhere in Henderson or the Southwest area.
I don’t know if Chef Crystal will read this, but… you did an amazing job. a job well done. Creative. Innovative. To me, your doughnuts stood out from the rest. There is no comparison. Thank you for blessing us with your amazing creations. I wish you the best, and hope to see your creations again.

Really fun and unique donuts — my type of spot! During my recent visit, I tried the Rose Water Pistachio, Pumpkin Cream (Seasonal), and Lemon Poppy Seed. I love the consistency of their donuts — soft, slightly dense, and flavorful! I also love the unique offerings or unique combinations.
The Pumpkin Cream was my favorite; it was filled with pumpkin mascarpone, glazed with caramel, and topped with pepita brittle. Delicious and fun! The Lemon Poppy Seed had more of a crumbly cake texture, which I still enjoyed, but the white chocolate basil cream cheese was a bit much. Easily solved by removing a chunk of the cream cheese and eating the donut by itself.
It’s also a neat spot to hang out and drink coffee as well. They’re currently offering a Horchata Latte that I need to try during my next visit!
It was sadly just announced today that they will be closing some time this month, so enjoy it while you can! I know I will!

This place was a coincidental find on my way to Carson’s Kitchen. I randomly decided upon two donuts, as I wasn’t about to stuff my face prior to a good meal. This was gonna be my dessert.
The chocolate cream inside the SMORES donut was SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD. Man!!! I need to go back and get some more.
The maple bacon donut was also good, filled with custard cream. But I’ll pick the ‘smores over it any day, all day.

I’m going to make the bold statement… this is the best donut shop in town. I was blown away by this place. Maybe it’s a good thing that it’s a bit of a hike from home for me.
We visited here as part of the Nosh Food Tour. As part of the tour we tried the Maple Bacon, Pumpkin, Chocolate Cronut, and Caramel Cronut. I loved all of them. The Maple Bacon had a delicious cream on top with the sweet maple and smoky bacon. The Caramel Cronut was my favorite because the caramel was delicious and unique from most caramels. All of the donuts were doughy and flaky with rich flavors. I can see why they are called fork and knife donuts.
I also opted to order a S’more Latte. The coffee itself had a rich, full flavor. The fresh marshmallow on top was to die for.
We grabbed several donuts to enjoy at home as well. My favorite of the donuts we took home was the Apple Pie with Cheddar Crisp. The donut was so dense and in the middle was a delicious apple pie filling that had cinnamon notes. The little bit of cheddar crisp on top made for an interesting twist on the usual and was very tasty.

Decided to come here for the first time after having lunch at Le Thai since it’s really close by. Walking in, I stopped in front of their menu board and oh my goodness I wanted to try everything! I was thinking about grabbing a box, since it’s bulking season ;) lol but decided against it and just went with the Mexican Chocolate with Horchata filling since that’s what the guy behind the counter told me was his favorite and since I’ve heard many great things about this flavor as well. As for some of the other flavors that caught my eye: Fresh Berry Thyme, Apple Smoked Bacon Fritter, PB & J, and Rosewater Pistachio. My boyfriend decided just to order a Chai Tea Latte since one of our friends told us it’s the best he’s had.
Flavor: Okay so I was super excited to try this is Mexican Horchata doughnut but I was pretty disappointed. I picked it up with my hand and it was suuuper heavy. I thought there was just a lot of filling, which there was, but the donut was incredibly dense almost like cake but not in a good way. The flavor also just wasn’t there. The dough tasted kind of like unbaked flour and the filling wasn’t sweet or anything. I only tasted a slight hint of cinnamon. Overall, besides the chocolate on top, it was pretty flavorless. The Chai Tea Latte on the other hand was really good and had a nice tea flavor, maybe too much cinnamon but overall pretty good.
Service: I honestly felt like I was annoying the people here. We entered about 2 hours before closing and there was no one there besides a guy and girl working behind the counter so I didn’t really know what was bugging them. But when we entered, the guy came up to us and seemed really annoyed that we didn’t know what we wanted right away. The only question I asked was what his favorite was and then I just continued reading their little menu board. While we were doing that, a guy came in, went to the counter and ordered a coffee from the girl and started talking with her. Okay no problem. The guy «helping» us told the girl to make us a Chai Tea Latte twice since 5 minutes passed and she was still just talking with the guy. We decided to eat the doughnut while we waited. We finished the doughnut, still no latte. Mind you, we also sat right in front of the counter. We were sitting there just looking at her when finally I got annoyed and we both just stood next to the guy she was talking to. Finally she looked our way with an annoyed look as if we were bothering her and I said «Uh, our Chai Tea Latte?» and she said «Oh! Sorry!» giggled, made it really quick, basically shoved it into my hand and went right back to talking to the guy! Sheesh alright whatever.
Overall, I would have wanted to go back to try their other flavors since they sounded cool but since the doughnut we tried was so heavy and eh regarding flavor plus the service being really bad, I’ll pass.

Been to O Face a few times now and can’t say I’m a big fan of their donuts because they’re just too hit or miss for me. They’re usually either too dry or do not taste like the flavor they claim to be.
I do enjoy their cold brew coffee and donut holes though, because the glazed donut holes taste a lot more flavorful and less dry than the glazed donuts. There’s also a cronut version that I discovered this past weekend! The cold brew coffee has good flavor but the $ 4.75 price for a 20 Oz is kinda steep when seeing that a majority of the cup is ice… They do have a stamp card for coffee though — buy 10 get 1 free.

This is a nice little stop for my mornings every now and again. I’ve become fond of the vegan vanilla donuts as they have a nice, fluffy texture and vegan items appeal to me in general.
I’ve also had their Thai style coffee (great in smaller sizes) and their Aztec Mocha (dark chocolate with a ‘bite’). They also have two amazing drinks I’ve found recently: Pumpkin Spice Latte and Nutella Latte.
Very friendly staff but if you’re in a hurry get there early — newer customers get overwhelmed with the choices and can take a bit of time. Also, if you want to get a savory doughnut (which is borderline life-​changing), make sure you have at least 10 extra minutes as they make them fresh.
If you frequent here, ask for a punch card. Buy 10, Get 1 Free for drinks.

This donut shop is a little away from the strip and old Vegas. There is plenty of street parking nearby. So much to look at and try. Staff was quick to help.
We ordered the Maple Bacon, New York Cheesecake, and some Dough nut holes. The donuts we took with us.
The holes were soft. Not overly doughy. Sugared just right. The holes were Not like the old dry stale ones elsewhere. Some of best I have had.
The maple bacon donut was saved for a few days. The bacon bits remained soft and crispy. The maple held steady. The dough had the warm softness found the first day.
The New York Cheese Cake was a good reminder of a classic dessert in donut form. Sweetness matched savory.
Best donut dough I have tried to date. Stayed at the same consistency days later. Flavor choices were good all around. I will visit again next time through.

I’d heard mixed reviews from very reliable sources. I’d gotten the Groupon since we were in the area and we decided to stop by. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful and we really loved the variety of interesting flavors. I had checked out the menu ahead of time so I could decide on what I really wanted. I got the coconut/​guava and the orange Boston cream. Both were really delicious and pretty fresh even though it was the middle of the afternoon. I will definitely be back!!!

Wow! Absolutely incredible donuts and coffee! Sadly a toss up on customer service. One day got friendly, nice service, next day got a grumpy terse young lady that reminded me of the crap I had to deal with in Seattle’s smug hipsters. Regardless, I’ll be back in four days and will certainly be back again for their spectacular donuts. I’ll make sure to ask for the manager and compliment the friendly staff. I gave up years ago complaining about junk service and found Unilocal keeps my blood pressure down, but never fail to ask for the manager. it usually is met with the expectation of a complaint, and ends up being a rewarding experience for me, the employee, manager, and whoever is with me. I’ve done it a couple dozen times.
as a former brick and mortar business owner, live compliments are rare. give it a try. save the grievances for here. live complaints are usually met with excuses and dismissals, let alone unpleasant for your guests. just my 2 cents.

stopped by on a random whim, and glad I did! Wish I had gotten here a little earlier though, when I arrived around 3:30PM, they didn’t have as much of a selection as they would have had earlier in the day.
place is small but clean, counters with some seats to seat maybe 8 people. The line follows a glass counter where the doughnuts are. In the afternoon, the sun shines right into the store, so it’s kinda hot and I got that hazy «I wanna take a nap» feeling pretty quickly. Had I eaten my doughnut in the store, I’m pretty sure they would’ve had to prop my sugar induced afternoon nap/​coma body in a corner of their store.
I got the pumpkin pie doughnut and chocolate filled doughnut. Their doughnuts are the doughy kind (ie cake doughnuts, a la dunkin donuts, and not the air like doughnuts of krispy kreme. I’m a cake doughnut gal, so this was perfect). It was a glazed doughnut, filled with pumpkin pie filling, and topped with pumpkin seed brittle. The pumpkin pie doughnut was good, a tad dry, though. Each of the individual elements were delicious, but I wished the doughnut itself had some pumpkin flavor to it too. This might be the only time where I wish a doughnut was sweeter!
The second doughnut I got was the chocolate filled one, with chocolate glaze, and that was heaven… I put it in the microwave when I got home, and it was so deliciously gooey and oozing chocolate… yummm… Total for both doughnuts came out to $ 5, which is a great deal considering they were «speciality» doughnuts.
Also, they sell cold brew coffee in growlers! Next time I’m here, I’m definitely trying that!

Cool shop with unique favored donuts. Poppy seed donut with cream cheese filling and NY cheese cake donut were amazing. My husband loved the Mexican chocolate donut with horchata filling. All the fillings are light in texture and not too sweet. We almost finished four donuts at the shop.
We also like the location. A good place to walk around, get coffee and snacks. Parking was easy to find. Free parking right in front of the shop.

Get here early for the freshest doughnuts!
I’ve come here on multiple occasions and it can be hit or miss, mostly hit. O Face really makes an interesting batch of sweet treats for your nana and the hippest of doughnut lovers.
They make doughnuts fresh everyday and do tend run out quickly. I highly recommend getting here early and grabbing the Mexican Chocolate filled with Horchata Pudding, French Cruller, and the Maple Bacon. The Mexican Hot Chocolate is by far one of the best doughnuts here and tends to be one of the first ones to go from the case. Crunchy chocolate toppings, soft sweet bread and the pudding filling is amazing!
The French Cruller is a classic and O face pays homage to this classic, the Maple Bacon is great, but I feel it could use more bacon. I mean, its bacon make it rain! Nope, I’m still not over bacon. Also, if this is your first time here you have to try the cereal doughnuts. The flavors tend to change, but the Cap n’ Crunch and Fruity Pebbles are O Face staples and delicious.
O face turns out a very good product although I do wish this place was a little closer and cheaper, but you get what you pay for… a solid and tasty donut.

HEAVEN ON EARTH.
There’s not a lot else to say about this place. I am a donut freak and planned my day around coming here. When I arrived I drooled for about 5 minutes staring at all the beautiful donuts and quizzing the guy about the fillings and flavors of each one. I had to make JUST THE RIGHT CHOICES because obviously I was only here this one time and needed to make te most of it. I didn’t want to be excessive so I went with only 3 donuts. That’s normal for one girl, right? Right?
Anyways. I made the right choices, although I don’t think it would be possible to make the wrong choices. I got the Mexican chocolate with horchata pudding filling, the lemon poppyseed with cream cheese fillling, and mocha caramel with espresso cookie topping. They were all foodgasm worthy. I still dream about them. And I wish I would have gotten more. O faced is right, I had my O face on while I ate them.

Lots of vegan options! I asked to «give me one of each vegan donut» and she said that would be like 13 different flavors! The lady behind the counter wasn’t terribly patient but oh well.
We got: Chocolate sprinkle, rose water pistachio, vanilla coconut, Coconut creamer filled, blueberry thyme filled, apple fritter. My bf’s favorite was the rose water pastachio and mine was probably the vanilla coconut. They were good, for sure, don’t get me wrong but I’m still just biased and love Cinnamon Snail, Ronald’s and Dun-​Well. I’d go back for more, especially since it’s near other great vegan spots and Container Park. It was cute inside and reasonably priced. So I’d make a visit to downtown just for these but I’m not sure I’d go back. I’d rather just go to Chinatown and get Ronald’s.

Consistency is key, really, when it comes to me REALLY loving an establishment.
After Nate’s CYME event here last weekend, I was seriously considering leaving a review, since I bought a few things while I was there, but I wanted to be fair, and unbiased in my review.
So I went back yesterday, so that I could provide an unbiased review, based on actual service and quality of food, rather than what may or may not have been just for us Unilocalers the day of the event.
I walked in, and the girls were super helpful and friendly. The selection of doughnuts were still a little overwhelming for me, and I decided to go with what I was familiar with already: the Lox and cream cheese savory doughnut, and the rosewater and pistachio doughnut.
The lox and cream cheese was every bit as delicious as it was before: savory, in a doughnut that reminded me of a funnel cake dough: not sweet, but soft and delightful. The filling was plentiful: big pieces of smoked salmon, savory dill cream cheese and capers… SO good, and surprisingly not very greasy, for being freshly deep fried.
The rosewater and pistachio doughnut is a favorite of mine for two reasons: First, its aromatic flavor… its like breathing in rose petals while you eat! Second: Its a vegan doughnut! I have several friends who are vegan and tend to have a difficult time finding place that offer vegan options, but O Face has a few vegan and gluten free choices! I love that.
I also ordered another cold brew coffee. This might be the new great love of my life (other than my fella. A very close second to him though!) The coffee is flown in each week from Seattle, and brewed with cold water for 16 hours (or something close to that number.)
I can’t drink coffee black, I just can’t do it, but this, I could. Of course, I DID add a little cream and sugar, and for me, it just enhanced the amazing flavor.
O Face, you have proved yourself worthy of a 15 minute drive downtown, and a $ 1.00 for parking. (I still have to find the «free» parking I was told about last week… I was in a hurry yesterday though, and didn’t feel like searching.)
I can’t wait to bring my fella down with a book and the laptop to spend some time eating and chilling on the back patio.

After walking by when I went to Carson Kitchen months ago, I finally got to try O Face Doughnuts.
O Face is actually on Carson, right next to Carson Kitchen. The downtown street parking, $ 1/​hr for 4 hrs max, was convenient and plentiful on Saturday morning. You can sample one of the donuts depending on what the employees decide to cut up and place on top of the display case.
The donut menu today had 14 «in hand» options ($ 1.25) and 15 «fork & knife» options ($ 2.25), with some gluten-​free and vegan options for discerning customers. All the donuts that I tried seemed to be made from the same dough. I actually like the dough quite a bit. It’s a little chewy, a little airy, and not something very cakey like Donut Hut or too ephemeral like Krispy Kreme.
Mexican chocolate w/​horchata? (free sample, normally $ 2.25): it was tasty and not overly sweet. I’m not sure I’d say the chocolate is extra special, but it’s not your run-​of-​the-​mill chocolate donut. It was better than the glazed donut, but not interesting enough to warrant my order.
Rosewater pistachio ($ 1.25, but I think I owe Stefany V. for this sample): nice rosewater glaze with crunchy, salty chopped pistachios. Rosewater isn’t necessarily my thing, but this was a solid donut with a unique flavoring. Definitely try this one if you come here.
Maple bacon (free sample, normally $ 2.25): I was going to order it, but I saw it offered as a sample later in the day and took advantage. Nice crunch and saltiness from the bacon, but the surprising amount of mascarpone filling almost dwarfed everything else a little bit. It is not like a typical «maple» bacon at all.
Key lime pie ($ 2.25): now this one is really worth the visit. The key lime filling and blueberry topping were each balanced in tartness and sweetness. The cream was almost more of a whipped butter, and it added a nice layer of flavor. The graham dusting was a nice touch. I am also comfortable recommending this one. I have to confess that I didn’t use a fork and knife as advertised.
New York Cheesecake ($ 2.25): my last item of the day. Wow. I mean, wow. Very much flavored like a cheesecake, with contributions from both the frosting and the filling. Graham topping was like the key lime pie, dough was consistent with everything else that I ate. A must-​try for cheesecake lovers.
O Face isn’t nearly the best donut spot in town, but they capably fill a niche with more creative takes on the treat. You might even call it artisan.
