No 1 Boba Tea

Nasty Boba and mediocre tea. I thought it would be like my faves in California but I was so wrong. Not going back. Gaaag!

I am from LA, and I’ve had boba from a lot of places. I definitely thought that No 1 boba tea is the best boba place that I’ve tried. They use fresh fruit and it has been 18 years. But their location is inside of Chinatown mall, not so easy to find.
There are many varieties of drinks here, there are different kinds of milk teas, smoothies and slush, or you can mix any flavor you like. I always get taro coconut with boba, it amazing!
The service is great and fast, they are friendly and they hand you your beverage they ensure that they can fix it to your liking, if it isn’t already prepared properly. Keeps me coming back for more!

In four days we’ve tried a few boba places and all were good excepted this place. We ordered three drinks and all were ok. There are other boba places are better in town. First time and sorry will be the last.

OK when I first walked into the place I was like «what’s that horrible smell», then I saw durian on the menu. Well I can ignore that. They have some pretty interesting flavors. I tried pear ginger and I want to go back for more. Now the workers are not great communicators in English and barely said a word to me. I’m used to getting asked «Do you want boba?» at these places. I did want it and luckily they put it in even though I didn’t say to. There was enough and it had a good texture. A little softer than most, but I liked it. The slush itself was awesome if a little expensive — $ 6 for the giant size. The menu is a little confusing in that the large is really a medium. If you want a large you really need to say «giant».

Small boba tea stop inside the Chinatown mall, right side as you enter. They have a lot of flavors, mostly different kinds of fruit. They use fresh fruit which is nice, and also have a 32oz size. I got the black sesame milk tea with boba, which can be hard to find. It’s an acquired taste but they made it just as I remembered it — sweet with a nutty, earthy flavor and plenty of ground sesame seeds. Aside from the somewhat haphazard appearance of the shop inside, this is a great place to get boba tea. Definitely a must-​try if you’re craving fresh fruit boba slushes.

No 1 Boba Tea was awesome! I have to say that it was a little weird coming here at first being that I always go to Volcano Tea right next door but hey I had to see what the competition was offering and yes they nailed it! Came here with my co worker for our lunch break and just has the urge to try something different. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and even the cashier made some nice suggestions! Great customer service! I really love that they offer an XL size that actually is a better bang for your buck rather than at Volcano. So for two XL boba sizes was only a $ 12 damage! Very well worth it and I can see myself coming back for sure!

First place I know that serves green grass jelly. It is more like grass and authentic. Most tea places have only black grass jelly in big chunks.
Their black sesame drink and avocado alone is good. I feel like this place uses all natural ingredients straight from the fruits.

This is my favorite place to get a fresh fruit boba smoothie. I don’t come here for milk tea anymore because they charge the same for a fruit smoothie, so may as well come here for what they’re known for. My favorite smoothie is the Lychee/​Coconut as well as the Mango/​Passionfruit. Since it’s fresh fruit and it’s blended, it may take a while to get your order during the lunch rush. The place has been redesigned as well, and I feel that the consumer gets affected with higher priced smoothies.

I decided to go here after dinner with some friends since it was in the same plaza as Yu-​Yu and I really regretted that decision lol. I’ve been to the place on Eastern and already had bad thoughts about this place, but my friend convinced me to go because of the high overall rating. Kinda bummed that Unilocal let me down, so I hope readers would be wary about going to this place. I ordered the Taro flavored smoothie with boba and it was pretty bad. The smoothie tasted like super diluted taro with this weird after taste. The color was a pale purple which was already a red flag for me. The boba was also pretty bad and had a plasticy aftertaste. I pretty much spent $ 5 for something I wouldn’t even pay $ 1 for. I generally don’t like writing bad reviews, but some places really need to get their act together lol. I should have just done to Volcano tea which is also in the same plaza.
Do your wallet and tastebuds a favor and just go somewhere else.

They customize it any style you want, I got the Extra ginger (real)mint slush with boba. Super friendly w patient service.

This is my ultimate boba spot in town. I’ve been to so many different places that offer boba unlike the rest n.1 tea boba is my fave. They even have a punch card so every 10^th visit you’ll receive a free medium sized boba. I love their milk tea as well, and my friends go here for their Taro. Thai tea is my favorite of all time, some other favorites are coconut, almond, and mango.
Just a heads up you need a minimum of $ 5 to use any credit or debit card. I love their double boba for just 50 more cents. The green monster power juice is my favorite drink when I need to get energized for work. I highly recommend this place to any boba anticipants as me.

My most recent Vegas trip led me to explore a few new places and this just happened to be on my list since I noticed from Nadine’s check in that they use fresh fruits for their smoothies.
I showed up on ¹¹⁄₂₂ around noon after we had finished our early lunch, since we couldn’t check into our room until 3 PM… might as well kill some time.
Much to my excitement, the drinks didn’t really live up to our expectation. We each ordered a smoothie and it seemed like they must have left it in the blender too long because the drinks came out half warm. I hate when my smoothies are warm because it defeats the whole purpose of ordering an ice blended drink.
The fresh fruit concept is definitely a saving grace for their drinks because I probably won’t plan on returning, unfortunately…

Located inside the Las Vegas Chinatown Plaza on Spring Mountain Road, this location is convenient when I bring family and friends who want to shop for Chinese trinkets, t-​shirts, and other goods. There’s free parking and many shops for browsing. When you enter the door of the mall, the shop is on the right.
No. 1 Boba uses fresh fruit and all flavors so far have been consistently good! Different flavor combinations are available. You can get your drink in 3 sizes — with or without boba. You can get juice with different toppings or additions such as chia seeds or grass jelly. There’s also coffee, milk tea, snow fluff, macaron ice cream sandwiches and preserved fruits (Li hing mui).
There are 2 other locations at Target Center and Smith Center. This location had 2 tables with 4 chairs each if you want to dine in. Service is efficient and helpful. Try it for a quick and healthy snack!

Freakin refreshing and good. Not to sweet just the way I like my Green Apple Green Tea with Mango jelly!
The Strawberry Mango smoothie was made with FRESH fruits! Not frozen, good job.
And the Fluff Ice was on point. Everything was good. I can now see why they have high ratings on Unilocal!On top of that the servers are super nice and friendly!

I now found my new Boba spot in Vegas!

No1 boba is always my go to for my boba cravings because they uses fresh fruits and I can tell if its real fruits or fruit flavored powder. You can see how they prepare it so there’s no surprise there. Place is always clean. The ladies are always so nice. I usually get the mango with boba. Classic!
I also get my «kiamoy» here. Its the dried red plum.
They offer macaron ice cream sandwich now. Wow! I will always come here for boba. Also. free wifi!

I go to No.1 Boba Tea about once a year (this is what happens when there are too many choices) and I was pleasantly surprised by my visit today. Located inside the main Chinatown mall, go to the right as you enter the doors.
SERVICE
Service here is what mainly impressed me today. I have always gotten the ladies as my servers and they always work here as if it is the last day on Earth. Smile, joy, happiness and everything else is long gone from their eyes.
Walked in today expecting to deal with depressing servers with a side of attitude, only to be greeted warmly by a young gentleman with a beanie. He kindly explained the menu to me as my indecisive self can never makeup my mind. I had an extremely bad experience over at another boba shop prior to coming here so I appreciated that this gentleman took the time to go over the menu with me and was actually nice. Thank you, thank you… your kindness is much appreciated.
DRINKS
As stated above, I only come here about once a year. I have tried their original milk tea, matcha slush and hokkaido milk tea over the years. What sets this place apart from other shops is that they used real fruits for their slushes. In addition, they have 3 different sizes for their drinks. 16oz for a quick boba fix, 24oz for a boba fix after a long day and 32oz if you are looking to consume enough sugar for the month.
Matcha slush has a very authentic, rich green tea taste. I remember it was blended perfectly and was super creamy. ⁵⁄₅
Original milk tea is not powdery at all, bit on the sweeter side but still good. Closest thing to the milk tea from Fresh Cup. ⁴⁄₅
Hokkaido milk tea is one of their popular item and is also called the green milk tea. Personally not a fan of hokkaido milk tea because of how milky and sweet it is. No.1 definitely has one of the better rendition of hokkaido milk tea compare to other places. ⁴⁄₅
Boba is solid. Wish it had more flavor though…
CONCLUSION
Although No.1 is not my No.1 spot for boba, I will visit here more. Maybe twice a year.

This is located inside the the main asian mall of the plaza. Once you go inside, towards the right and past a couple of the shops, you’ll see it on the right hand side.
I’m conflicted on how i feel about this boba spot. I ordered the Green Milk Tea and honestly I’m not even sure if its even Green Milk Tea. It kind of tasted like almond milk and a mix of something else. I was completely disappointed. But their Mango slush on the other hand was BOMB. They supposingly use fresh fruit for all their smoothies. It tasted like Haagendaz’s mango sherbet mixed in a nice refreshing drink.
They also sold some cute $ 3 ice cream macaroons here. You have to ask them to open the freezer with them in it because they keep the freezer locked. They’re a little small, but taste amazing! They have about 5 different flavors here.

Have you ever had boba tea? It’s a super fun drink that you can find at speciality boba shops and tea houses. You simply choose what flavor you’d like and add the boba balls (squishy tapioca balls). When you opt to try the tapioca/​boba balls— you drink your tea and then suck the tapioca/​boba balls up through a big fat straw– you then chew on them. Weird? Maybe. Delicious? You bet!
Las Vegas offers up a plethora of boba options. It’s fun, delicious and No. 1 boba is a great place to try boba out. My husband and I popped by here this past Sunday and we both truly enjoyed our yummy boba treat! They have an obscene amount of flavors to choose from and a lot of them are made with FRESH ingredients. The freshness makes a world of difference and the flavors truly pop.
I followed others Unilocalers’ recommendations on both of my visits. We order the Lychee Coconut Boba tea. It was so refreshing, creamy and had bits of lychee throughout the drink. It’s the best boba I’ve had to date! Yum yum in the tum tum. I will be back when a boba craving strikes.
Note: This spot is hidden away within the market and is really set up for grab and go.

A not-​so-​long awaited update on one of the perennial boba all-​stars of Las Vegas.
This is the original No. 1 Boba Tea on Spring Mountain, inside the Chinatown Mall. Don’t confuse this with the vastly inferior second location on Eastern, but do note that a new location on Flamingo and Fort Apache (Smith’s plaza) is in the works (forgot to ask when #3 would open, sorry). They always use fresh fruit in their delicious smoothies, of which I’ve now tasted mango, taro, avocado, and even durian. I would definitely get all of those again except durian. It’s actually not as foul-​tasting as it smells, but it wasn’t particularly captivating and costs extra.
Today, I finally decided to break that smoothie streak with a tea. I chose the green milk tea, which sounded appealing even without the note proclaiming a «new and improved» recipe (although photo evidence suggests that this recipe has been present since June 2014 if not longer). The milk and tea flavors were assertive and balanced, and the default sweetness level was lower than you might expect at some places. The boba isn’t the best in town, but it was chewy and not overdone. I would be happy with any place in any city that could sell me a milk tea with that flavor.
I never get the «regular» 16 oz size because an upgrade gives you a lot more value. At $ 3.95 for 24 oz smoothies or teas-that-aren’t-standard-milk-tea, a price that includes tax _​and_​pearls (can’t substitute a different topping, fyi), there’s really no point in settling for significantly less when it costs $ 3.50.
The great milk tea and smoothies that can’t be beat will keep me coming back, and they should draw you here if you haven’t had the pleasure yet.
