I can’t believe the stupidity we have to put up with. I deposited checks through my mobile, and as I expected, I knew they weren’t available next day since I deposited them on a holiday. However I called the branch to ask when they would be. The answer I got, after she looked at the account, was: «it depends if they are placed on hold or not». I pointed out they couldn’t because of the small amount (all under $ 1,000)… «It’s not about the amount, it’s based on the account RATINGS». what? So I called corporate support and they told me that holds are placed for checks above $ 5,000, certainly not because of «ratings»… and that checks should be available next day… why not telling people the right thing the first time? :-/

The worst customer service I have ever received at a bank. I was asking questions n the lady just turned and put her sign n walked away. I went in there to cash a check I got for my birthday is was only 100 dollars. I just moved out here and I only have a valid I’d card and about to forms or banks cards. Which any other bank takes to cash one of there own checks. They didn’t try n even help. Even a guy who banks there had trouble getting his money like me n him we lost are driver’s lic. I just honestly never had someone say no n not try n help. I took the bus there with the last bit of my money n since I couldn’t cash it. Thank fully I had someone deposit money into my bank card and I walked to use another banks atm. That asain lady was terrible I wish I got her name but I was so upset.

In this age of hurry up and go banking, I still really like the interaction with a person that’s handling my business. I enjoy my experience when I go inside. The tellers are always friendly and remember my name. Not a big thing but its nice.

I’ve been coming to NSB for years now. Very nice people work as tellers, at this location. Nevada State Bank itself, I’m starting not to care for. Unnesicary charges and fee’s started in early 2012, without warning. Other than that small ordeal, my overall experience w/​NSB has been pretty nice. Hense me banking w/​them now for 4+ years and counting…
