One of the finest tracks in the entire country, located on the University of Nevada Las Vegas Campus. Opened in 1998 this 400 m track is the best I’ve ever run on. I don’t run very often, it’s hard on the knees but when I visit my friend in Vegas we do laps everyday on this track. It’s a rubberized surface which is designed for all weather. Your feet and legs just lightly bounce with each step so there’s not much trauma. It’s open to the public usually after 7 am when organized practices are not taking place. Fit for an Olympic trainer it’s a great way to burn off a Vegas gamblers hangover. Best part is it’s nearly ALWAYS sunny with no humidity in Vegas so it’s great to be outdoors.
