Mike hammer is a great magician whose Chicago style humor is just the kick in the pants this town needs. Be warned he doesn’t let you volunteer you are picked out of the crowd I have seen him a few times and he has a lot of class that a lot of magicians here in town don’t. His showroom is quite small but a great size to see this show which is somewhat kid friendly. He does charity events that are different and late at night. I respect him a lot and don’t write many review in Unilocal here but I do see a lot of shows

Mike is a very funny magician. I loved the show though it’s not as grand as Copperfield’s. Good entertainment for the ticket price.

Amazing to see anyone give Mikes show a bad review. His show is hilarious, and the magic is great. I think the problem is people are losing their sense of humor and looking for a reason to get offended. I would recommend this show any day. I’ve seen the show more then once, and I will definitely see it several more times.

Amazing! Great talent, magic, wit and so entertaining! What a great show in this downtown venue. I personally love personality entertainment so this was like a diamond and in the rough.

OMG we laughed the entire time. He picks on the audience and everyone has a great time. Don’t make the mistake I did. He came looking in the audience for someone to help on stage. I quickly looked away and he caught that. Next thing I knew I was up on stage helping with the performance. It was a blast!
Go see the show. Much better than the expensive shows on the strip!

This show is a must see if your visiting Las Vegas, especially downtown. Starts promptly at 7 and rubs for 75 to 80 minutes of gut busting laughter and magic. I have seen this show more than once and love it every time as do my kids and the guests we bring. Thanks Mike!

5^th time seeing the show. This show is always hysterical. Mike Hammer is one of my favorites, same tricks but there is always something different due to audience participation and he is so quick with his jokes. I am usually in the back in tears laughing. Good price on tickets and drinks and the show runs about 70 minutes long. I love this show!

Had a fabulous time! Engaging, funny, no nudity or mostly naked girls in it and not vulgar! Being in Las Vegas and finding shows to go see can be difficult because of the «perception» of how Vegas has to be: nudity, sex, vulgarity etc, so I was very pleased to find this show! I recommend this show it is a blast!

The seats are first come first served. He did about 6 magic tricks, but nothing special. Though he spent the entire time making fun of the audience and insulting everybody including the elderly and kids, i personally thought his show was very entertaining and humorous. However, if this is not your type of humor, I wouldn’t recommend this show.

This show is an interactive small show mixed with magic and comedy. It is a very good entertaining show. He broke the ice very fast and made fun with all audience. Note– some people might find it very sarcastic/​insulting but I didn’t take it that serious, so I really enjoyed the show.
I liked the fact that he didn’t go to much into the sexual matters. I think he tried to avoid using some bad language since there were few children at the show.
The price is affordable, it is a good deal if you want to have a good laughing time.
Tip — you can park at FourQueens parking lot and get validation from the box office if you are not staying in downtown.

Just watched this show last night with my family, and all of us enjoyed it very much. As the other reviews mentioned, the interactive way that Mike leads the show involving many from the audience definitely sets his show apart from the others. My 10 year old boy liked it so much that he asked that we watch the same show one more time later that night. I seriously doubt we would have had more fun watching any other $ 100+ shows than this one.

I really didn’t care for this guy, he sucked. Jokes weren’t funny at all. He kept insulting the same audience members again and again and again. The magic tricks were lame, a 5^th grade class could do better then him. This guy needs to find a new line of work. I didn’t laugh once, that’s how bad this guy was.

The Mike Hammer Show is my favorite show in Downtown Las Vegas.
The show is very fast-​paced and it takes a few minutes to get up to speed with Mike. He has such as rapid-​fire style that you might miss a few jokes in the beginning. Once you get in sync with him you’ll have the time of your life.
The show is performed in the Canyon Club, a nice room in the Four Queens Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas. Only two shows are performed in this room, Mike’s show and Steve Connolly’s «Spirit of the King» — a really good Elvis performer. You can see them back to back — probably the best two shows for the money in town.
Mike does some cool tricks but they aren’t David Copperfield-​like illusions. Copperfield performs FOR you and Mike performs WITH you. All his tricks directly involve the audience. Yes, Mike will ask just about every audience member to participate in one way or another. Don’t worry, he doesn’t try to embarrass you. He just wants everyone to have fun. And they do!
Although Mike’s style is to find humor in people and situations, he doesn’t do it in a mean way, and he makes fun of himself, too. Once in a while he’ll get a few smart-​alecs who have seen the show before and are determined to give him a hard time by not cooperating but Mike can handle them. It’s very rare for this to happen since most people are tourists who haven’t seen his show before.
As one person said, some of the magic is pretty amazing to the point where you might think he’s using pre-​selected audience members. But there are no stooges here. In addition to being a great comedian, Mike is also very talented magician.
But this isn’t the kind of show where you spend the rest of the evening trying to figure out how he did some big illusion. It’s all about comedy and having fun. They have a well-​stocked bar and friendly bartender, too.
Mike will pose for pictures with you and sign autographs after the show. His assistant also offers some inexpensive t-​shirts and other souvenirs.
The Mike Hammer show is a family-​friendly show without any adult language or other R-​rated material. Kids will have a good time and so will adults.

Magic tricks were decent — some were things I had seen before by other magicians… but the finale was pretty neat!
However, his humor was the worst. Now I LOVE comedy and will seek out a good standup comedian now and then. But 90% of Mike’s jokes were just insulting audience members — and he kept coming back to the same jokes. The jokes were a funny-​ish but there was no creativity to it. He made obvious jokes. Would have loved to hear some original jokes. Maybe they would have been funnier if I was drunk… Now his facial expressions, THOSE were funny.
Instead of making fun of the audience, I would have much rathered him do a few more tricks. In an hour and a half he did maybe 5 short tricks. The lead ups took FOREVER as he was just incessantly teasing the audience. Also, he grabbed unwilling audience members from the crowd. Would have been awesome if he just asked people to raise their hands if they wished to participate. I dont want to be part of a show, I just want to sit and enjoy. There is NO SAFE SEAT in the house. Sitting close up, far away, or in the middle of a section will not necessarily spare you. You’ve been warned.

Holy moly! Are you kidding me? We’ve been to comedy and magic shows for years in Vegas… this guy is off the hook! I have never seen anyone with the quick wit he has. Would recommend to anyone.

I loved it! I’ve never been to a Vegas show, so bear with me. I was torn on whether to give it a 4 or a 5, I didn’t give a 5 because I haven’t been to any Vegas shows so people should keep that in mind. I also liked that it was inexpensive — we got a BOGO deal, and a free drink too. I thought it was an excellent deal.
I don’t mind the insult style, and I thought the tricks were great. I had a LOT of laughs. Some reviewers say he picks people from the audience and they are «pre-​selected actors» — um, no, my brother-​in-​law was one and he was not pre-​selected, I can tell you that!
If you want a casual, smaller-​group, budget-​friendly show, it’s a good deal. If you aren’t as uptight about it being an insult-​style (wasn’t that bad IMO) I think you’ll like it. I really don’t see why most people would not enjoy this. Most people say it’s kid friendly; there are definitely adult jokes, but I don’t think the kids got it. There were kids included in the show, so I guess that’s up to parents.
