Fair prices did a great job on my breaks! I went to 3 other shops and was quoted over 150 more everywhere else.

I use Unilocal all the time and looked at the reviews. I started off by calling the store for an estimate on tires and repair. I was greeted by Randy at my car which is unusual at other repair shops. The level of professionalism and speed of service was amazing. I got a great deal and was treated with respect. Randy showed me what was wrong and let me know what could wait.

Not good at all! Legitimately tried to charge me as much as the Mercedes Dealership does for a full dealer inspection just to visually look at the engine from underneath.
Rang a week prior to see if I needed an appointment. They said NO. I told them everything about my car, year/​make /​model and the issues I was having they said they would put it up and take a look underneath for free. I told them about the guard plate underneath they said they know the car and it was all fine.
I called and told them I was on my way today and confirmed they could look at my car and said I could be there in 10minutes.
There was 1 manager and one mechanic that I could see. The manager told me they didn’t have time to look at my car! He then said it wasn’t free either and would cost me $ 50 to even just put it up to look at it because it has a plate underneath.
(BTW Goodyear do a full inspection for $ 14.95).
Labor costs at this Midas according to the prices they gave me are 5x more expensive than Goodyear and more expensive than the Mercedes Dealership!
This place went from agreeing to look at the engine to see what repairs needed to be done to me turning up them seeing me and then them trying to rip me off. I snatched my keys back and walked out.
I do not recommend this place in particular for anything!

Stopped here while on a road trip due to multiple concerns. Had a transmission fluids serviced and radiator flushed. Also ran a diagnostic for additional concerns that we can now have taken care of under limited warranty. Front desk staff was personable and helpful. Highly satisfied with our experience.

Walked in and was a bit wary of the staff — they seemed to be slouching around, not sharp. Then. Quoted me way over price for a simple service — wouldn’t come down to something reasonable. Took my business elsewhere.

Do not ever use this place.
This Midas goes through different management every few months. They then claim that they are not responsible for anything prior to the new management.
I have received numerous services here including front and back brakes with the lifetime warranty (or so they say) and a 60,000 mile full service.
I had some warranty services done at the Infiniti dealership after my tune up at Midas. The dealership pointed out that Midas had replaced my factory clamp on my radiator hose with an aftermarket clamp. They actually pushed the factory clamp out of the way (still on the hose!) to install the aftermarket. They ended up over tightening the hose and it cut through causing possible leakage in the future. I went back to show them their mistake and their answer was that they didn’t even touch the hose. How do you not flush the radiator fluids when doing a full 60,000 mile service!!! They claimed that they didn’t do it because they didn’t charge or write me up for it, so they will not fix their faulty work. They also stated that I didn’t get my brakes done there so that they will not honor my lifetime warranty on rear brakes.
This place is a joke! Do not go here! You WILL get LIED to and ripped off by incompetent mechanics!

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation, waited approx 45 min and was done. Or so I thought. Upon hearing some new noises coming from my car, I found that THEY DID NOT EVEN PUT OIL BACK INTO MY ENGINE. Was offered and refund of the money spent on the «oil change» with nothing further and was made to feel that I should have known right away that they didnt do their job. My car could have been permanently damaged because of these idiots. SAVE YOUR CAR — AVOID THIS PLACE.

I had an AC issue and was quoted a $ 2000-​$ 2500 fix. This was during the summer of 2013 in Las Vegas, NV in approximately 105 degrees Fahrenheit weather. I’m not a car expert but I also not a car idiot. I’ve always had a clear idea of what my issue was and was low refrigerant and AC compressor issue where cold air isn’t coming out. Somehow I got a quote that’s not worth my time for a repair since I can get a used car for that price. After declining to do job so that I can think over longer, the price for AC checkup went up to regular price vs my coupon price. ($ 14.99 instead of $ 9.99) I didn’t say anything because my car was still connected to the machine and was weary if they might do something shady.
Note: During my time waiting, there was an mother and her children trying to go home that came in complaining about paying a big job for the AC fix that didn’t work. (Probably $ 2500) This was one reason for my skepticism.
After finishing my Vegas trip where I drove my car, I eventually had to explain my problem with the dealer. (Toyota) All I needed was a AC recharge and a new AC compressor since the previous one was consistently clicking. Job was finish in one day for under $ 250.
Be careful of up sells and don’t make a rash decision if doesn’t feel right. (Example: Blackjack, hit on 20 with a 6 showing.)
Note: I finished my Vegas trip with no AC. Harsh reality check of how lucky we are that someone invented AC especially in a car operating in hot weather.

This joint is a classic example of a nightmare operation. When I review a poor business, I prefer to keep my opinion out of it and let the facts speak for themselves. This is my experience with Midas on Tropicana.
I go in to the joint on Monday for a break job. They do the inspection, and tell me I need virtually everything replaced– front rotors and wheel bearings, pads, rear drums and shoes, and a caliper. The vehicle is a 1992, and has never really been overhauled brake wise, so I don’t dispute anything and spring for the whole enchilada, at around $ 800.00. I explain to the counter guy that I need the vehicle for work that night, and he says it’s a 2 hour job. They tear down the brake system, then several hours later tell me they can’t get a part they need, a rear brake line. Why they would tear down a brake system BEFORE they had all the parts is a mystery. After screwing around for hours, I convince them to have the part fabricated. There are several places that do it, it’s just a metal line with a fitting crimped on the end. They do it, and stay late to finish the job. I’m just about ready to really praise these guys, until I get in to the vehicle. Mind you, the mechanic test drove the vehicle and tells me as I get in that the breaks are solid, and the pull in the brakes that I had before is gone. Of course, I think to myself, virtually everything has been replaced. As I drive away, the brake pedal goes to the floor, and the brake light comes on. I drive around the lot and return, and tell the guy the problem. He says he has to bleed the system again. So I say OK, and go to work, agreeing to return the next day.
I return the next day and they spend all day bleeding the brakes and trying to find the cause of the pull, that’s still there. I had told them when I went in that I was reasonably certain the pull was caused by a plugged or kinked front brake line. They never changed the lines. I get the guy to drive to to the auto store and purchase both front lines. This is after they tell me it was a bad caliper. It wasn’t the caliper. So now day 2 is shot, and I come back again the 3^rd day. They change the lines, and bleed the system, and I leave, with the vehicle still pulling. They were supposed to do a courtesy alignment that they never did, because a misaligned front end can cause pull. Guess what? They recently had replaced some front end parts, and didn’t align the vehicle.
The issue is clear, that the diagnostic skills of these guys is pitiful. Their school of though is to get the cash, then worry about everything else later. And they don’t listen to the customer. Just another zombie operation of stooges. There is one guy there who manages named Eric that is OK. He made the extra effort to get me out of there, or I would still be there watching Curly and Moe work on my ride. The bottom line is that these clowns are muffler guys, not brake guys. They have no clue what they are doing.

It’s a quickie place and a chain, but I like this location because it’s less crowded, I never feel like I’m getting scammed, and there’s a bar in the same shopping center so I can wait it out there (and not in the waiting room). Plus, Midas always keeps sending me coupons. All in all, way nicer staff here than at other Midas places. And you can just walk-​in sans appointment and get taken care of ASAP (practically unheard of at other Midas locations).

As I arrived in the parking lot of this location I was surprised how clean it was for an automotive place. As I was opening my door John the service manager was waiting with a smile and a hand shake. Wow! I asked for an oil change and he gave me 3 choices, Regular High Mileage or Synthetic. I own a newer Honda so I chose Synthetic. John showed me and explained the inspection sheet his tech would be using to check all of the under hood components etc as well as a free visual brake inspection and tire rotation. All of this included in an oil change? Wow again! He escorted me to the lobby where they had a huge waiting room with a flat screen TV free WIFI popcorn etc. Very nice! I was even handed a copy of my factory scheduled maintenance so I knew what in the future I would need to maintain my vehicle properly. I was even escorted to my car as the oil was being changed and John went over inspection sheet.
No shop does that anymore! I will be back!

I don’t know what the other reviews are taking about. They were very kind and helpful to me. I was having major issues with my car and they walked me through the entire process of what needed to be done. The also quoted me for a new set of tires (I knew I needed them) and found me the lowest price for what I wanted. They were prompt and patient and deserve my 5 stars.

After waiting over 4 hours for an oil change and another simple repair I still hadn’t received a call stating that the car was ready. So I called and was told the car was still not quite ready. I showed up 45 minutes later (5 hours after drop off and still no call) and picked up the car. I’m guessing that they prioritize cars for people who are waiting in the shop. Whatever the reason for the wait, there is no excuse for keeping a car for the better part of a day for (I’ll say it again) an oil change and simple repair. Midas did a solid job (oil change and simple repair), but the wait time was excessive. I can get an efficient oil change anywhere in town. I’m incredibly disappointed in the service at this location.

According to the rude bald-​headed guy with PINKEYE (nasty) who was manning the counter, ownership of this place changed a month and a half ago. It was pretty obvious to me as soon as I walked in. The bald guy just stared at his computer screen, and when he finally looked at me, he had a condescending look on his face as if I smelled bad (I shower twice nowadays with the heat, and I wear deodorant… last time I sniffed myself, I smelled of Secret Tropical Breeze). He goes, «What can I do for you?» with a tinge of sarcasm and then looks right back at his computer screen. I asked if they do brake pads and how much they cost. He said, «Well it depends on what kind of car you have,» without looking up from his computer screen. I told him the model of my car, which is a 10-​year old economic Asian car (don’t wanna state the model for privacy reasons). He said, «$ 170». I immediately knew he was full of it because I’ve had brake pads changed before for much less back home in Hawaii (plus, higher prices back home). I said, «I’ll just go for the oil change.» Again, without looking at me, he points at the oil change ad on the counter & says, «Well, pick one.»
Rude son of a bitch, I tell you.
I ask, «Is the other guy here, your manager?»
He responds, «I don’t know what ‘other guy’ you’re talking about – we just bought this place a month and a half ago.»
Embarassed, I reply, «That makes sense, I came here before you took over. My mistake.» Then I leave.
1) They will overcharge you.
2) They are rude (or am I mistaken & was he actually being RACIST???).
3) The bald guy has PINKEYE (look it up if if you don’t know what that is, but it has to do with your eyes coming in contact with feces) for crying out loud, which is CONTAGIOUS.

Timely courteous service. They looked for the best low cost alternative for our RV that had had the exhaust system ripped out from road debris

Went here this week and was very dissapointed. They charged me $ 163 for a oil change basically. They said it would be 1500 to replace a compressor, but when I asked a differnt place I was quoted $ 800. There seemed to be a dissention opinions of what could be done to fix a leak I had. Anyways I will have to go somewhwere else that is cheaper I guess. The people were cool but the prices I cant afford.

Being a bit of a gear head, I do my best to keep our cars in line by doing the easy stuff. This was the first oil change on my wife’s new Kia Sorento. With the help of Unilocal,we found Midas in the midst of around 20 shops near or house. Was a good choice.
The dude at the desk was super cool. Including his long dreads. I watched closely as the tech changed the oil, checked the fluids, and filled the tires. Pleasantly surprised as they attempted no up sell.
I’ll be heading back there with my car as well.

I bought a deal for 3 oil changes on
and had pretty good experiences the first two visits. Yesterday my boyfriend took my car in for me for the third one. I called the day before to schedule and ask how much it would be since I upgrade to synthetic blend. I was told it would be $ 19.95 plus tax and disposal fees which add up to less than $ 30. Well, when my boyfriend got there they told him it was going to be almost $ 50. I called and spoke with Matt, the guy my boyfriend was dealing with there, and I was appalled at how rude he was to me. I explained to him that I was quoted a different price on the phone and he kept giving me excuses as to why I paid that price last time but it’s different now. None made sense and he was very arrogant in his communication with me. He wouldn’t take any ownership for what I had been told by the other staff member, Pete. I finally told him I wouldn’t be bringing my car back there again and he responded, «Well, I didn’t think you would be because you’re out of free ones now.» Unbelievable! First, the oil changes were not free; I paid for them even if they were discounted. Plus, not only did I upgrade to synthetic, I also had them change my brakes and do a throttle body service, so it’s not as though I was only going there for cheap oil changes. I thought they offered those deals to try to get new business. Apparently this guy missed that memo. I will NOT be giving this shop any more of my business.
