This place was really good! Me and my boyfriend were looking for cheap foods off the strip and found out about this place! For the price you’re paying it was super filling and we fell in love with the Kalbi combo plate they had! Too bomb! The service here was really awesome! Our cashier was super nice and patient with us!

I’ve been here many times and I absolutely love the food! The soup I always order makes me feel better and the spam Musubi is amazing! My only problem is the people some times they can be really nice and other times there a little rude. But hey the food is great!

Great food at a very accessible price, staff is always friendly always on point, so much variety and as if that wasn’t enough they also deliver. If you want order for lunch id suggest you to call in the order for pick-up because at lunch time it can get really busy.

Love their food & service. Their chicken katsu, kalbi, sushi, salmon and on and on, the best teriyaki in Vegas! I noticed that they don’t even charge a delievery fee when I ordered. I guarantee you that you will find yourself going back to this hole in the wall hawaiian bbq every week once you try!

My co-workers order from this spot all the time. I absolutely love the mango avocado salad. You can opt. for chicken, salmon, or beef. I’ve had the salmon in the past, when I wasn’t a healthy conscious eater and I have to say it tastes wayyy better with the mango & avocado, however, since learning just how much salmon is farmed & packed with harmful chemicals much like everything we eat, well, I’d opt without meat at the very least. I have to say that provided the cost of the combos, they sure give you more than you can handle. I like their bento box, packed with your choice of meat, rolls, fried tempura or vegetable & miso soup, well thats pretty freakin awesome. You will definitely get the most of your buck.

Unilocalers weren’t kidding when they said the place is small. Luckily I went on a monday and not busy at all in the parking or in the restaurant. As you walk in the menu board stands out, easy to read, with pictures. There is so much to chose from and from different cultures so if you looking for variety this is for you. Sushi, mandoo, kalua pork, udon noodles, kalbi meat. The best bet is to get a combo or bento. Comes with miso soup, side salad, sushi and mac salad. depending which bento or combo, you can get tempura vegi and shrimp. The meat I got was chix katsu cutlet and kalbi ribs. Ribs were flavorful and tender. Chix wasn’t my favorite. I prefer thick breaded chix, this was thin sliced style. The portion of each meat item was good though.

It was a mix of Japanese and Hawaiian fast food. The menu provides a large selection. Service was fast. The food was good. The macaroni salad tasted too much like mayo, but overall it was good. Thank goodness I like mayo. The beef was very good and the chicken was prepared well. Overall, if you need to grab a quick bite, this place not a bad choice.

First time that I have ever eaten at a Hawaiian restaurant and I have to say that it was GREAT! I had a tempura platter and it was delicious! Prices were reasonable, as well. I will definitely eat here again.

Love their food — years ago they had another location on charleston and rainbow — miss that one — it use to be across the way from CSN when I was on college ! Anyways, I love the salmon teriyaki ! They also have lots of sushi rolls you can order, other meals, and sides ! I wish they had another location ! If they re vamped marketing or made some changes — they could increase business ! Amazing food but the only location in Vegas !

It was okay. Not what I expected. Sushi was subpar, but wouldn’t expect great sushi at a Hawaiian place. The chicken katsu was VERY salty ! The sauce was distasteful. It’s too bad because I love chicken katsu. The grilled chicken on a stick was pretty good. Didn’t even want to try the miso soup. Overall ok. I kinda had my hopes up entering this place, but pretty disappointed in the taste of the food. Wouldn’t go again, but don’t regret trying it. You never know till you try!

I’ve been here a couple times now, they’re always quick, great service and delicious food. The location is small, so maybe plan on ordering to go for lunch. The food and price is great. A lot of variety including some of my fave meals: Sushi rolls, Udon, BBQ and bento boxes. Located behind the Mickey Ds across the street from Palace Station.

I order lunch from this place once or twice a week; the food is always super delicious and flavorful, the employees are extremely polite& prompt, and the location itself is quaint& nicely decorated. I get something different every time I go, so I’ve had about half the items on the menu and everything is on point! Love it here!

During the lunch hour it’s crowded — inside and in the parking lot. We had to park in the 15-minute only parking area but was told it’s okay. I had the Combo Special: BBQ Chicken, House Special Noodles, and Beef Potstickers. It was great — very tasty! Meal came with a bowl of miso soup, which was also good. Also included was a scoop of macaroni salad. Hubby had the Bulgogi and this came with miso soup, a bowl of tossed salad, and a side of macaroni salad. Everything was delish but I have to say that the macaroni salad was a disappointment. It was very bland and just about tasteless — nothing at all what you’re used to if you come from the Hawaiian Islands. Everything else they served was just like back home! Oh, and the portions are generous! We both could only eat ½ so we took the rest home for dinner!

It’s unfortunate that I give Maui Rose 1 star. This was originally my coworkers(Hawaiian Natives) and mine lunch time spot since it is locate so closely to UMC/Rancho Suites area. I’d have so many good things to say BUT this last visit they really showed their true colors. I ordered for my guests and myself since it is a relatively small place.(No official area for ordering just stand alongside tables forming a line) It was a question of what # I ordered. When the food was brought to the table. I immediately let the waiter know that we did not order the particular roll he served us — it remained untouched. However, we did order the Crunchy Shrimp roll. He quickly walked away, Idk I thought maybe to bring the correct order out? No, he came back to the table with the carbon copy/order tape telling me that I was wrong and that the mistake was mine — scolding me. RUDE! I would have gladly paid for«his mistake» but was never given the option to have the correct roll made and served. Making the best of things, we continued to eat but it became increasingly hot. Not being a princess, unbearably hot. I attribute this to it being such a small space and a rather majority window store front. You have to go outside to change your mind small. The 3 men that were at the counter continued to hold a conversation that was«laugh-out-loud» funny(literally) almost as if we were the«joke». Enough was enough and we ended up leaving. I will not return to Maui Rose and will take my business else where and where it will be appreciated.

I didn’t expect to love this place, I was just looking for something quick, fresh, easy, and new(to me). This was one of the few spots in the area to fit the bill. I have a feeling I’ll be there regularly. BENTOBOXES: Good for lunch or dinner, but more fun to dine in for the presentation. Kalbi option available if you’re not a teriyaki fan. UDON: Available with shrimp tempura or plain, with various combos. Wish the broth was a bit more flavorful but the noodles are perfectly chewy, like springs for your teeth. COMBOSPECIALS: AKA enough food for two people under $ 10 if you get the large. Kalbi + chicken katsu is my go-to, served with a feast of sides(rice, mac salad, 4 pieces crunch roll, soup, and salad). If you’re broke til payday, this meal will last days AND be relatively healthy. SUSHI: ~20 basic and special rolls, several with similar combinations of ingredients(like the Jessica and the Cactus). Tightly rolled with fresh fish and not too much rice. All rolls under $ 10, wish there were more unagi options. They also have a bunch of apps and sides(spam musubi!), plus fried rice and tempura. Service is friendly and fast, location is more of a grab-and-go joint, as there are only four tables and they’re pretty cramped. Small cooler of Hawaiian sodas and other beverages at coutner. Location is directly behind the McDonalds, difficult to see from the street.

We went here after another place was sold out of lau lau. This place is more asian-style than hawai’ian mixed plate with traditional food. We came with 5 people. I got the bulgogi plate, 3 people got kalua pig, and 1 got chicken teriyaki skewers. We also got tempura veggies. The people running the restaurant were very nice and very busy. We got salad and then miso soup. The salad was tasty but had too much dressing and the miso soup was okay, but refreshing. I got the bulgogi and it was really good. It came with macaroni salad on the side but I think it had too much mayo. The tempura was very good and crisp to perfection. I also got a hawai’ian pineapple orange drink as well. I tasted a bit of the kalua pig and it was nice, moist, and smoky. Only thing that could have made it even better was having haupia or malasadas. I was craving some of that.

I didn’t feel like cooking when my friend came over & I didn’t wanna take my baby out during lunch time when it’s probably busy. We decided to order from here… & they deliver too, so that’s a plus when you want variety and not pizza lol. I ordered kalbi & she ordered bulgogi, both less than $ 10 each. Very inexpensive, considering that it also came with salad & miso soup. The entrees were very flavorful & still hot by the time it was delivered. The salad was yummy & had another dressing, that surprisingly wasn’t the usual, ranch. The miso soup was just like any other, but still good also. We will continue to order from here because not only do they have yummy food, but also friendly service.

Man, I love this place. From the all the kalbi, shrimp and vegetable tempura, and sushi rolls I have ordered here, I have yet to come across something that I haven’t loved. As much as I love their meal options, the reason for my recent visit and this review is for their spam musubi. I was once again given some of the best spam musubi I have had in the city. First off, they actually give you a decent cut of spam and a overall good rice to spam ratio. It was grilled perfectly with a nice amount of crispy caramelized crust. The rice was soft and moist and complemented the spam. Another good thing about the musibi here is that the sauce isn’t overly sweet and there wasn’t too much of it. It was a holy trinity of spam, rice, and sauce(all wrapped up in seaweed). And it is affordable. It is less than two bucks. Same price of a street taco but more filling. I can’t wait to try more of their menu, and at the very least, get some more of their awesome musubi. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a affordable and tasty lunch.

I have driven by this location multiple times over the years and never really had an opportunity to stop and check it out. I did not bring a lunch to work and so I pitched the idea of checking out the Maui Rose for lunch. Fortunately, my partner was game and off we went. After pulling into the parking lot and getting front row parking, I was immediately surprised at the tight quarters where this Hawaiian BBQ is housed. I would imagine that a lunch rush would fill this establishment up quickly. However, I noticed a majority of orders where being called in and consumed elsewhere. I checked out the menu on the wall and settled on the Maui Rose House Chicken. It came with Miso soup and a salad. In addition to the meal I ordered up a Spam Musubi. There was no soda fountain so I settled on a can of Coke. While waiting the soup and salad came out prior to the meal. When the meal arrived accompanied with rice and mac salad, I found the house chicken to be vey General Tao’ish. All in all… it was a solid A-OK experience.

The food is awesome! I’ve come here a handful of times and don’t have any complaints about the flavor of any of the food… it’s just right for my taste buds. However the place is very tiny and although they attempted to make some seating for dine-in guests it’s almost better just to take your food to go or eat it in the car. It could be claustrophobic at times during the lunch rush. I usually pre-order my food on the phone so I can avoid the wait they are pretty good about making your order on time. My usual here is the lobster roll and the Philadelphia roll. But I have tried the bulgogi… Delish. Short ribs… Delish. And a handful of other sushi rolls… Delish. The prices are decent! Not too steep and the portions are a nice size… so it’s worth the money for sure! The guy working the counter the last time I was there was full of personality and he was kinda cute… lol but that doesn’t make my review… it is seriously the quality of the food. The size of the establishment could be much much much more accommodating to dine-in patrons but I don’t dine-in much so it’s all good!
