Mariah Carey: #1 To Inifinity

I really didn’t know what to expect! I was at the right place at the right time at Caesar’s palace. I bought the cheapest tickets at the top of the theater & I had a blast. Since these are Mariah’s hits, you will find yourself singing along to her songs. There really isn’t a bad seat in the house. But if you want to be up close and personal get the better tickets. She interacts with the audience and occasionally walks around. I was just happy to sing along. I like her songs and now that I saw her live, I love her even more!

I was more impressed with this show than I thought I would be given some of the negative press that I read. In truth, she sounded great and put on an awesome performance. I wish she were a bit more active on the stage, but understand that dancing takes away from the singing, just ask Britney, lip synch queen. Maria mostly stands there in a sparkly gown, or gets pushed around in a jet ski, or a car… you get the idea. But hey, the girl earned it. I would totally go again and not get the cheap seats. She comes off the stage and into the crowd, so pony up!

My sweet best, had last minute tix for her first show her first comped dress rehearsal! I had to go! I was a little late but made it just in time for Dreamlover. I was blessed and I cried throughout! We were starving and wanted to Palms but they were closed since it was our fav. We opted door Cheesecake Factory, thanks to Kamulicious Connections:) MC was best a dream come true and we plan on going this summer and winter again:) love her at Cesars stadium it’s very intimate. I’ve always loved Cesars even tho it has gone down in some parts as far as class and quality. Basic tourists that aren’t very sophisticated acting sometimes loud and rude. Still love Mariah and I’ll always love Cesars. It was a special part of my life for a long time working there.

Came to the show over Memorial Day Weekend and it was her last performance of this month, glad we caught her. It was a really fun experience. I have to say that the mixed reviews online are understandable. I felt conflicted as well. Firstly, she sang about 65% of the time. The rest of the time she was lip syncing to a live recording. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have the voice and stamina she used to, which is understandable. For me, that wasn’t the major problem. The problem was she kept walking off stage after songs, sometimes mid song. She did this 8 – 9 times. We thought it was for costume changes, but it wasn’t. And then one time, she left the stage mid song, and appeared 5 minutes later in the back of the theater walking through the audience. Awesome that she was in the audience, but so weird production-​wise. Lots of people seemed confused. There wasn’t an overall smoothness to the show. You’d think they would bring down curtains before they let her just prance off the stage but she just kept doing that, sometimes singing from back stage too. Very odd. Also, she didn’t really do much other than stand and sing, or walk off stage and sing. I’m giving this a 4 stars because the songs are classics and we had such a fun time singing along. And one thing I really enjoyed was her banter with the audience, that showed that there was a humorous side to the diva. Overall, I would rank this 3^rd between the Las Vegas divas shows I’ve been to: 1. Celine (Incredible live vocalist and production value) 2. Britney (High energy, huge sets and entertaining dance moves) 3. Mariah.

If my wife were to have her own Mount Rushmore of singers, there would be no question of Mariah Carey’s place on it. I looked forward to the show for a variety of other reasons with the main one being: Would an aging pop star whose last #1 hit was 7 years ago be able to still perform at a high level?
I am not sure a fan could ask for anything more than this show from a present day Mariah. It’s her greatest hits in chronological order. That means only unborn babies, Eskimos living in igloos, and unidentifiable sea creatures from way, way down there would be the only ones unable to recognize at least 3 songs.
Mariah still has the voice to deliver most of the goods. She can still do that signature glass breaking, high pitched thing with great control. The audience went crazy every time she went up there.
Funniest part of the show for me was during «Fantasy» (which I am pretty sure was the only song she lip synced from beginning to end) when Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s rap interlude came up… and hundreds of white girls in attendance started doing the rap… verbatim! How did I know the ladies on the other side of the theater were doing the rap as well? Their arms kind of doing the Daniel Larusso wax on, wax off motion! Whatever happened to Mase anyways?
I had a good time because my wife had a great time. It’s definitely a five star show for any real fan.

Oh Mariah… Why are you doing this? you have lost your voice. you gained weight, and you can’t get those notes like you used to… Why are you embarrassing yourself so much?
Do you really need the money that bad? I wish the Old Mariah showed up to the concert. Don’t like this one at all.

I came in for my wife and was not expecting a lot from the show. But after hearing Mariah in live concert singing all of her 18 hits and more was an experienced! Mariah can still sing and hit high notes! Very Good show and will be watching Mariah’s future concert.

My wife LOVES Mariah. I bought tickets on a whim so we could run away for a quick minute and see her. My wife has seen her 3 – 4 times already. She use to be a part of the fan club. Me, it was my first time. Being that I loved all of her hits, Mimi DID NOT disappoint! She’s classy, without showing a complete over the top Diva side. She seemed genuine, especially when she came into the audience. We would love to see her again, and closer to see her. Hopefully, she won’t be there for just the 2-​month run so we can get back there. Either way, its an unforgettable memory

Marvelous my dear. What a performance! I must say I’ve had my share of concert going and this will rank at the top. Her voice is so electrifying that it will literally frozen you with amazement. From the beginning to the end, there is never a dull moment thru the entire show. She will get you jumping, dancing, crying, and at the same time put you in a daze. The stage settings are beautiful, the dancers are beyond skillful with poise and on point, and Mariah is simply flawless. There’s a number of songs where she interacts with and through the crowd on the lower level so I strongly suggest to pay a little more if possible. Be camera ready because you will never know where she will appear from. The Colosseum is a spectacular venue from the seating, to the crisp sound, and the lighting is on cue with adding the ambience of beauty and elegance. Overall the show will leave you with an infinity of passion for more. There’s plenty of more details regarding Mariah’s performance but I’ll leave it up to you make her your number one choice when in Vegas.

I am a huge Mariah Fan. One of my first memories was of saving up my allowance for months to buy Mariah Carey’s Daydream, Boyz II Men’s II, and TLC’s CrazySexyCool. I bring this up, because the show is not only a celebration of Mariah Carey, but of this whole genre in the 90’s. I will be the first to say that the music scene back then was one of the best.
Now on to the show. I know that MC has not been getting the most positive of press recently. Add on the connotation of Vegas becoming the place were stars come to fade out and it almost becomes surreal. This show though is the opposite of that. If anything, it reaffirms why Mariah has been around for 25 years. Some might criticize the fact that her voice is not what it used to be or it is shaky during parts of the show. I was impressed with the fact that she sang all 18 of her #1 hits and her new single, Infinity. I was lucky enough to see her on opening night. Many Caesar’s employees and industry people got to see her on Monday. The reviews after the trail runs were favorable. My experience seemed to be more polished. I’m sure that she will continue to perfect the show.
I was nervous and excited to see the show. When I left, I could not have been more happy with being able to see one of my favorite artists on my birthday.
