MAC Cosmetics

This place is a complete joke! I had the misfortune of giving MAC a chance and wondered in here only to be met up with snappy and sarcastic customer service.
I came in here with my sister and immediately an employee asked «Hi how can I help you, are you just looking or are you actually purchasing something?» ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I don’t know who trained these employees, but for God’s sake that is not how you greet a customer. Maybe, just maybe I could see where that came from if I consistently came in here before, looked around, and left, but for a first time customer that was severely insulting! I asked her where the make up setting sprays were and she led me to the only one that they carried. One star for their employees knowing where their products are located in the store. Here’s the good part! When I touched the display, the female employee snapped at me and told me «ohh those are the displays, I told you to ask me if you wanted to purchase something so you don’t have to touch them.»
TIP: Know what you are looking for before you come into this MAC location, and try not to touch their things without purchasing them unless you don’t care if the employees get cranky with you.
Maybe I’m just used to being spoiled by great customer service at Sephora, but I don’t expect to be coming back to this location. MAC may be a bargain compared to Sephora, but I rather invest my money at Sephora than spend even a dollar at MAC.

Really put off with the customer service I received here today. Charlene or Char seemed to be having a bad day. Snippy and sarcastic. Used to be my favorite location. Due to this experience my impression has completely been altered.

I’m extremely picky when I wear makeup, especially lip colors. I have sensitive skin so I don’t wear ‘much’ make up and with that being said I haven’t found a lipstick that I love because its hard to balance lipstick with a bare face.
I went into the TS location looking for a lipstick and bronzer. Von (Vaughn?) did about 15 lip swatches with me… I felt bad that I didn’t like any of them. He was quick on his toes and suggested a lip liner instead. That is true salesman ship. I hadn’t even considered a lip liner, but it was perfect. It had color (because he said I needed color) but also that flesh/​neutral tone I was looking for.
Next step was bronzer and I took the first one he suggested because at that point I trusted his expertise. Plus he upsold me some strobe cream. Thank you for your patience and thank you for LISTENING to what I was looking for and delivering.

I always have very mixed experiences when I go to MAC however, Samantha at town square ALWAYS provides excellent customer service, makes sure everyone’s greeted in the store, and is an extremely talented make up artist who goes above and beyond to make sure all my questions are answered and I find what I’m looking for! Thank you for being so helpful, you’ve got yourself a regular!

MAC is MAC, it’s the best makeup in my opinion ;) but the store is always clean and organized and the staff is very helpful and friendly! And they always seem very happy :)

This is by far the worst experience at any Mac I’ve ever received. I called on Tuesday April 12^th about an appointment for my birthday and everything was fine. I finally show up on the date which is today and they don’t have any recollection of me calling or setting up an appointment. Then apparently the manager says they’ll fit me in, and I get there and no one is available. Absolutely the worst. Mind you I’m from out of town and it’s my birthday. I would not recommend this location at all.

What a great experience at MAC In Town Square. I have been using Mac for years. Kristina took care of me she immediately greeted me. I had some questions about different techniques and how to use different products they have. Kristina made me feel so comfortable with the questions I had and showing me how to use the products. Sometimes you don’t want to ask because you feel like the questions you have you should already know. Kristina was so professional not only with making me feel comfortable but also how she handled everyone that walked in the door. Kristina is definitely a asset to Mac Cosmetics. Best experience I’ve had with Mac. Thanks Kristina.

This is the first time in a long time I’ve gone into MAC and they were actually nice! I usually go to Meadows because it’s closers to me but I freaking hate it they are so rude there it was totally different at this store everyone was super duper helpful and so sweet and I just went in to try the face and body foundation. Love this store will definitely come back whenever I need something!

I walked in and was immediately greeted by Obe who helped color match me. I get serious anxiety whenever I go to cosmetic stores in need of color match help with foundation and concealer (let’s just say I’ve had professionals match me with colors that had me lookin like a geisha girl). I ask a lot of questions (mostly because I know nothing about makeup and am curious) and Obe was very patient with me. He took his time testing every possible combination of concealer and foundation to help me cover my acne scarring while maintaining a natural look and I walked out of there happier than I have ever been after buying makeup. Thank you!

The best store in town! Artist Noël was AMAZING! Came here to get my makeup done for the Latin Grammys two days in a row. He was on point! Great staff and amazing customer service. See you guys again next year! You all ROCK!

UPDATE: I was at Town Square and thought let me see how this goes. Upon walking in the store I was greeted by three different associates and was assisted immediately. While in the store I noticed they greeted everyone who entered, very pleased with service and upgraded to reflect the visit not only at this location but a recent visit to the MAC counter at Nordstrom’s and the customer service I received there.
Love MAC, HATE this location! So rude, you basically have to assist yourself, I was almost to the point of opening drawers myself. I was standing in line to check out and a sales associate walked another customer over put her in line in front of me and said she would be assisted next?! WHAT! I was livid and the customer said are you in line, yep but I guess they don’t care. Finally someone else came over and I told her that I hadn’t been acknowledged by anyone and yes I needed more stuff. She was actually very helpful but not enough to make me shop here again. I should have known as the last time the associate seemed totally uninterested in assisting me until it became apparent I was going to purchase around $ 300 in product. Take your business to Dillard’s at the Galleria or Nordstrom’s. Or just order online and avoid their rude, condescending, close to non-​existent customer service all together.

One of the best deals in town for special occasion and event makeup. For just 50 $, one of their artists will make you look like you spent 200 $ on a private makeup professional, plus you get a complimentary kickass mascara. (Which is the ONLY department store mascara I will ever use) My daughter and I have used this service twice in the past six months, and both times were highly satisfactory. Omi just did my daughter’s homecoming makeup and she looked incredible! She had nothing but compliments from everyone — including random passing strangers! While I haven’t had a bad experience with any of the artists; he’s one I would definitely recommend.
I recommend booking in advance, at least a month. Particularly around Prom/​Wedding season. They’re especially flexible and reasonable with time, but if you want it done right, book at least 2 – 3 hours before your event. Don’t worry — your makeup will stay put until you take it off. I should also mention that they have a separate service for eyelashes, but it’s a different price. I don’t wear false eyelashes but I know a few people who have had them put on and looked fabulous. Overall, a great experience.

I went to the townsquare M.A.C. on a Saturday. The makeup artist that helped me was
Myriah Q. Employee #476 726. Let me tell you she was fantastic. She was friendly, sweet, patient and knowledgeable. I have gone to this M.A.C. Store maybe 3 times to shop around and never bought anything because I just didn’t really get great customer service. With Myriah I bought just about everything she tried on me. She really listened to what I was asking for and made some complimentary suggestions that were spot on. It was a fun experience and I walked out with a whole new look that I loved. I really feel that the makeup artist can make a wonderful shopping experience or a simple walk away. Myriah had great energy and is a true pro. I hope I can get her a second time when I shop at M.A.C.

* My sister just realized her highlighter wasn’t in her bag, but thankfully she wasn’t charged for it. This is still disappointing though because there were 3 shades, and we picked the best one for her. She was really looking forward to using it.

I’ve been a long time user and MAC fan for forever now! And ever since I moved to Vegas about three and a half years ago I have been going to this store primarily. The customer service has always been friendly and helpful, and they are always willing to show you all the fun new product!

Mariah was very friendly and helpful!!! Great advise and guidance. The store was clean and elegant. The entire staff was personable and helping each other. They are efficient. No apple pay acceptance yet.

Shopped here for three years and they were always able to find me in the system. Was told that if I got a tan and changed color, I could come back and they would switch out my foundation.
Went on vacation and got a tan. Returned to this location and the associate could not find me in the system. She made little effort to find me after that, treating me as if I was scamming them. I was very disappointed.
Contacted their customer service and have yet to hear back from them.
If you want assistance, I suggest a different location. But after this experience, I think I’m switching brands altogether.

I’ve been a fan of this line of makeup for many years. It all started in high school & I wear it till this day. The down side is that two of my favorite lipsticks were discontinued & I’ll never get them back in my life. First was Vibe & now Coconutty are gone. I wish this wasn’t allowed because no other colors compare.
The store is always is good condition & the ladies that work there are eager to play with colors on your face. I enjoy experimenting because you never know what’ll look great on you unless you try it & I tend to stick with what I know.
I love the face products especially the studio fix powder & the new celebrity lines are always fun to try out. I just purchased Rihanna’s Frost & looking forward to rock it for a special occasion.

I used to use MAC exclusively when I was married because my ex husband used to complain about the «taste» of my other makeup. As a girl who doesn’t make out with other girls, or guys who wear makeup, I can’t vouch for this feature for the MAC brand.
Once I became single again, I nixed my exclusivity with the brand because I found #1 it’s costly and #2 there are better quality options out there. I didn’t stop purchasing MAC products, but I definitely began to diversify my stash.
Of all the products I’ve used from MAC, the only thing I can recommend above any other brand are their pressed shadows. The color and coverage is phenomenal. (Sue Devitt makes incredible loose powder rollerball shadows.)
I’ve noticed that E.L.F. makes a better liquid liner that outperforms MACs gel liner all day, every day and is $ 13 cheaper.
E.L.F. makes a better lipstick in the form of a twist up stick compared to MACs lipsticks. E.L.F. has a stronger pigment –a feature that MAC addicts love to brag about.
Tarte makes a richer pressed powder bronzer but it is slightly more expensive than MAC — but a compact lasts 2x as long.
One thing that MAC has going for it is their recycle program — bring in 6 used up MAC containers and get a free full sized pressed shadow or lipstick of your choice.
I brought in 12 containers and got a free lipstick and a shadow. Unfortunately when I got home, I realized that the cashier gave me the wrong shadow as my freebie. Of all the colors that MAC makes, she gave me «black tied» — a glittery black shadow that I #1 already have #2 never use. Agh! There are no returns on freebies.
This location is chaotic. The sales people aren’t of the caliber of other locations. They’re unorganized and their makeup looks a bit… Scary.
I’d suggest another location and triple checking your products before the walking out of the door.
