I called this company to fix a minor leak on a valve in our back yard. I was told they had the part we needed and quoted me a price of 170 dollars. When the service person arrived I showed him where the leaky pipe was. He informed me that the original part was installed incorrectly. He then proceeded to tell me that he would install something new (without asking me or giving me a quote). He never informed us that his «new» part would take an hour longer to install (at 150.00 an hour) He then handed me a bill for 415.00. I told him that was not the price I was quoted. I began to feel uncomfortable and just paid the bill to get him off my property. 1 month later his installed part began to leak… I called them back and they sent out the same person to review his work!!! Talk about uncomfortable. Then he tried to charge me for a trip charge. This company used to be so good years ago. Now they have plumbers that are angry and wont shut the hell up and get their jobs done.

Got great help over the phone! Mystery leak in toilet diagnosed, and several suggestions of how to fix. Toilet (antique) now operating perfectly.
Because my house is old, the big hardware chains don’t have parts. Larkin does. Yes the parts are more expensive, but almost always they have them, and the guys in the parts store know about plumbing and willingly give advice.

I read a lot of the bad reviews, but I have to say my experience could not have been better. The main drain from the house to the sewer plugged up. Nothing in the house would drain. I called on a Sunday noon, was given a fair price up front and was told they would be there within the hour. Rick was here within the hour as promised and had the big rooter snaking out the main line pronto.

I called them this morning to fix a leaky toilet. They called back promptly within the hour to say a tech was on his way! Blake was very friendly and got the job done quickly! Everyone I talked to was very friendly and professional. Would definitely call them again!

Total crap! We had an emergency leak and as they advertised — ²⁴⁄₇ emergency service we called them. We called at 6:00 a.m. They said they would call us back within 30 mins. They didn’t. Kept trying to call and at 8:30 a.m. we told them not to bother as we’d found someone else. We explained it was an absolute emergency and our kitchen was getting soaked with cabinet damage. Can’t believe they didn’t bother calling back or coming to fix. Totally useless.

No ones perfect! But these guys are good. Took longer than expected to show but once here very professional, warrantied their service, and gave receipt. Overall would definitely call them again!

Horrible service. Horrible customer service and horrible work. Lmfao don’t go too these guys. And not to mention after having bad service. One of them recently gotten road rage with me on the road. Overall such a horrible run place! Go look at there others Unilocal account all single stars because I’m not the only one who’s wasted money and time.

Not a good company. Constantly canceling appointments. Half the time they don’t even call to let you know they are not coming. Been waiting for them to finish a job they started back in July and it’s now September!!!

My 1972 home has some serious plumbing issues that we are fixing bit by bit, and using stop-​gap measures for some others until I have the funds to fix them all. I have called Larkin everytime. Yes, they are on the pricey side, but not out of line. I always ask for Kurt Ellis — He will always call when he is on his way and give an ETA (important if all the water is about to be shut off for an hour and you have kids!), and is very tolerant of my dumb dogs who seem to forget who he is from one minute to the next. He comes out and is straight up about what has to be fixed, how much it will cost, and how long it will take. Today, he came out and fixed the connection from the house to the main line. Not only was it done in 3 hours, but he completely refilled in the huge hole that had to be dug to get access to the connection, hosed down the patio where the dirt was stored during the job, and re-​set up all the patio furniture that had been moved out of the way to get access to the site. I am, and always have been, extremely pleased with the service I receive from Larkin.

About 5 – 6 years ago. Water heater busted and garbage disposal was broken, the latter I didn’t care about at that time. Called them. Very professional. Came out. Quoted $ 125 (or something) for the check-​in fee. After dismantling the water heater and disposal, surprise — they were missing a part and told me they had to go back to the shop to pick it up AND said it would be another $ 75 for the trip. I knew I was being hustled, but whatever. The repair was good, the price was not, whatever.

My water heater busted recently. I have AHS (kinda like allstate for home repairs if you don’t know) I called Larkin for shit and giggles and if the price was right, because it was on the weekend, I might’ve bitten the bullet. What an asshole I got on the phone. No I didn’t know the size of my heater (I make home repairs but not when it deals with a gas inlet — I don’t care about getting electrocuted but I care about explosions since I’m a sensitive asshole and care more about not blowing up my neighbors’ kids’ faces than mine) and when I went to look, the guy acted like I was from another planet. He was no help, kinda snarky, and quoted $ 1700. Since my AHS service fee was $ 75 (and FTR, I pay $ 800 a year for AHS and the extra fee for additional work turned out to be $ 90, which they told me BEFORE the work) I declined. So I hung up on Larkin. I also asked the company that came out how much it would’ve been without my AHS insurance. $ 1000 straight up with labor and without permit. They had set prices per tank with installation. And they told me you only need the permit if you sell your house in a year. If you don’t sell, no harm no foul. If you do sell, go hire a city inspector. And $ 90 extra for the pipe fitting which was unforeseen.
So basically, I’d avoid these assholes. I would normally be more PC, but the guy I got on the phone that was a know it all really turned me off. I mean — if I couldn’t do it myself, I kinda need some help? And I’m lucky I’m in a place in life where a $ 1700 fix doesn’t phase me, but if you act like your Jesus, then go fuck yourself. I’m not religious and I’m not buying your pamphlet. Larkin can kiss mah asshole.
Anyway, the point is, save yourself some dough and go elsewhere for plumbers.
PS — I won’t even go into the story about how they completely were raping a relative lately… These guys are SHADY!!!

Our water heater stopped working at 9 pm and Eli arrived after 9:30 pm he seemed to be on the level of genius and had us back in action with in about 20 minutes thank you Eli!!! Honest, professional, and knowledgeable!

They replaced a simple part inside our toilet tank but they never completed the job. The service man claims that the old rubber sealant needs replacement. We’ve been waiting for the new one, that they claim to have reordered. They have terrible service and follow up.

Came here looking for an Ameriflex angle stop washer for my toilet but they didn’t have it. I said that I purchased some about 4 years ago from here, but The person that helped me said their supplier no longer carries it. Disappointed. I thought this was a plumbing supply store.

I called Larking plumbing a couple years ago to replace the main water supply valve in front of my house, because the valve was leaking, and broke while trying to use it.
The larkin guy came out real quick, and took apart the valve, removing the gate, and sealing it back up. I asked him why cant he just replace the valve as I asked, and he said he would need to spend a bunch of time digging to expose valve, which would cost me 600 to 800 dollars.
So now I had a shut off valve that does not leak, but also does not function. I paid a couple hundred bucks for that. I had to call a second plumber in to hack out the valve and solder a new valve in, for a couple hundred dollars more.
I am not sure why these plumbers are such cry babies about removing a little dirt. I dug the dirt out myself, taking a whopping 6 minutes to fully expose the valve, so that the next plumber would not be a crybaby and price gouge me for getting his dainty hands dirty.

Nice plumber came out to fix the problem… but when he sat down to our kitchen table to tally up the bill he started talking and talking… seriously about a half hour and then looked at the clock when he was done talking about something totally unrelated… and charged us for that time. So… if we had been rude and unfriendly we could have been charged less. How annoying!

They do not honor warranties in timely fashion. If you have a warranty claim they take a long time before they come and look at it. Unfortunately I can not wait that long as we need hot water.

Their staff that answered the phone were also very unfriendly.

We used Larkin Plumbing years ago for a problem with our shower and were so pleased with their service. We called them again when we had the same problem in the other shower. Scheduling was a nightmare. We had an appointment, waited all afternoon to get a call that they couldn’t get to us. Also, we asked them to call our cell but they kept calling our landline.
When we finally got the plumber out he didn’t have the part with him. My husband had described the problem. They had a record of our prior repair but didn’t bother to bring the parts. So we waited for 45 minutes while the plumber went back to their office to get it. AND we got charged for all of his time in doing so. The bill was twice was it was for the other exact same repair.
Because Larkin was so horrible about scheduling, didn’t pay attention to our needs and gouged us for the privilege, we will call another plumbing service the next we need one.

Had a pipe come apart in the shower. Called Larkin @2am. Less than 11 hours later Keith had fixed the issue & was on his way to the next call. I’ll always use this company. Thanx!

We had a major issue in our house! Watter backing up everywhere and smelly too! My Dad recommended Larkin to us.
When I called they were so friendly and helpful. My dumb self had put Draino down the pipes to fix the problem. They told me that would ruin their equipment. But they were nice enough to give me advice to help us out till the morning.
Our tech arrived early (by 15 minutes). I had no idea where to drain for the house was. Rick found it. And he took care of the problem in minimal time. He was quick yet efficent. He was very friendly too. He explained everything that he was doing so there was no surprises. The pricing was fair.
He was also very understanding and kind to my devil dogs! A major plus in my book! Thanks again, Rick!
